  1. Would laugh my tits off, if Isak has to stay - World Cup year too coming up and he may well be left to rot on the sidelines. It really is unprofessional behaviour (assuming Paully is right) - I had Isak down for much better than this. It's really disappointing. He's destroyed his legacy with the club.
  2. The lads got a bit about him. Remember saying last season, when we played Wolves.

Good - hope this one comes off. Still need 'Isak' replacement, though.
  4. 'If' this summer turns out to be as bad as we all fear come the end of the month, i can't see PIF being owa happy - at all.
  5. There's a player there in Jackson, but not for the supposed asking price. I'd also worry about the lad's character - last thing we need is a toxic arsehole in the dressing room (if he is dodgy) I'd rather we went for Hojlund.
  6. Can't see why Newcastle would go after a 31 year old. Just doesn't fit what the club have been doing in recent years.
  7. I hope this is either decided by tonight or tomorrow morning at the latest.
  8. Yup - can on y see him going to the Mancs now. £££ wins the day. I can only hope that we have other targets to shift on to quickly. Summer is close to being a write off transfer wise - cartel have it sewn up due to PSR.
  9. Will be a good move for him. Another great servant to the club, through some difficult years. Best of luck for the future, Dubs.
  10. if the Mancs will meet the asking price, he will go there IMO.
  11. Well, if the club doesn't learn from it's previous mistakes.....
  12. I can't see us tabling a bit to Leipzig if they hadn't been given the green light by Sesko's representatives. NUFC will hopefully be savvy enough not to be used as a means to smoke out a bid from Man United.
  13. Doesn't seem as if the 2 clubs are too far away from a deal. Howay, Newcastle - get it done. We need some good news.
  14. Thanks for your service, Issac and best wishes for the future.
  15. If he goes to Man United, then it's probably £££ reasons, or perhaps he does indeed support them.
  16. How can Man United afford him, when it's rumored they have to sell before they can buy (PSR?) The lad looks real quality, is young and has bags of potential. He will need time to settle though - should be sign.
  17. Watkins would be a ready made signing, but Villa would rinse us and his age goes against him, sadly. Reminds me of Andy Cole being sold this - more so in the fact that we played Man United at home straight after (we face Liverool in a few weeks at home) Cole was told to miss that game on police advice, after the two clubs agreed. He always scored against us to, when he later faced us. Isak will do same.
  18. Media are desperate for him to go to Liverpool it would seem. I thought better of the lad, but I can see him properly downing tools until he gets his own way, near the end of the window. Eddie won't want an unhappy player on his hands.
  19. Always thought that Isak seemed like a decent lad who would do the right things. Obviously shows a lack of professionalism but perhaps it's something of an indictment on the modern day player(s)?
  20. Doesn't sound like we are missing much, for those of us not watching.
  21. We actually nearly bought John Terry off them, before the Russian stepped in. They were in real trouble.
  22. Blyth lose 5-1 at Whitby. tonight, Doesn't seem to be much confidence going into the new season. Had been contemplating getting myself and nephew season tickets - but getting a young squad primarily from the Northern Alliance and NL2, seems to be asking for real trouble. i want there to be a bit of hope, not merely delaying the inevitable 3rd relegation in a row.
  23. Massive over-reaction on here re this news. If he comes in, he'll provide good competition. But then again - why do we have and need so many keepers? Unless Dubs and the Greek lad are going to move on?
  24. Bronze and her family used to live next door to my dad's girlfriend - in Belford, when Lucy was a bairn
