He was working with the kids here with Beardsley at one stage but he just keeps falling back into his old ways. You can't help but feel sorry for him. Difference was, that he wasn't sober then. Perhaps he might be best of staying around Bournemouth now because he seems happier there.
-
Yup - tough viewing and you could see him on the verge of tears several times. I hope that lad stays clean - think he definitely still has plenty to offer the game, particularly with coaching kids. Would give him some focus (when he is ready)

Blyth 0 Gateshead 1 at HT - John Shaw scored. Been one way traffic, really - Gateshead's full-time status being the difference at the moment.
-
Howay Blyth!
-
Awful - full of typical lazy cliches from a southerner.

I wonder if this O2 link is from the insider/Llambias - he who also said "There have been more than two bids of £100million for the club", a couple of years ago. It's a smokescreen, IMO.

Escapes his carers with such skill. Fair play to the lad. Starting to think that may be his real skin. Me to Socks tucked inside the tracksuit!

Drink you own piss if its a different sponsor ? What is the benefit to Mike Ashley and Sports Direct to get another brand in?
-
Ashley has no intention of selling the naming rights. It's all about whoring his brand in the Far East and getting it done for nothing. Sports Direct will be the shirt sponsor next season and more than likely there will be plenty of mugs who would buy and wear it.

Remember - any singing that doesn't fit in with what the regmine want will see you banned from St James..... Then everyone unites together and makes it impossible for them to enforce such a thing. The support inside the ground is already divided and marginalized. The club has seen to that.
-
That could allude to the idea that Ashley has no intention of selling the naming rights. It's about promoting his brand with no financial benefit for the club.

I guess BBC Newcastle have to tow the party line, given that if they don't they will eventually lose the exclusive commentary rights. Makes me feel a bit sick when I hear Mick Lowes going on like an employee of the club on occassion. As I said, I always thought the BBC were supposed to be impartial. It is indeed scary if Ashley has influence now there as well. -
Continuing with the Ashley cock-sucking that he was doing earlier. I thought the BBC were supposed to be impartial?
-
No - because Ashley is getting free advertising with the club recieving no financial benefit.

A very sad day for me, with 120 years down the toilet in one fell swoop. Ashley has pretty much smashed down any bridges that were beginning to get rebuilt between fans and the club with the grear start to the season and of course this could now impact on the team itself. And if it does, Ashley has a ready-made excuse and will be able to blame the fans (and the media will lap it up!) Perhaps it's inevitable though with the way English football is heading. It sold it's soul long ago and seems intent on whoring itself out to the highest bidder even further. Sadly, there's not much we fans can do. I made my choice to stop my s/t some years ago and have only been back a handful of times. This move will only serve to marginalize some fans even further. How long until the club is renamed Sports Direct@Newcastle United? It's what will come next - believe me.

Plenty cliches being spun by 5Live's commentator (Ian Dennis) Going on about the wage bill when we went down, but failing to mention that Mike Ashley sanctioned many of those moves. -

Steven Taylor on, Mick Lowes and someone else who's name I didn't catch. -
Exactly. His PR is so bad, it's incredible. Who the hell is advising him?

Alan Green is a twat. And as for the earlier piece - has Mick Dennis suddenly moved to NZ and writing under another name? Shocking stuff.
