  1. Have to agree - Shola was poor tonight and still looks short of match fitness.
  2. Fair result for me and got to give us a bit of credit for coming from behind (ooh-er Missus!) twice. On the down side though, the lack of pace we have especially in middle of midfield is a major worry, as is Nolan doing his usual disappearing act. We got over-ran at times which happens against sides who have a bit of pace and nous about them. Dorrans looks a good player and made them tick. We need to sort this blip out and I get the impression that some players are coasting at the moment. A kick up the arse is needed, methinks!
  3. I'm chuffed with that side - Guthrie is still wasted down the right however. Massive respect to Peter Lovenkrands for playing tonight - real courage after what must have been an awful weekend for him.
  4. This. Should never have been allowed to play for us again after that - was a terrible way to treat SBR, the club and the fans.
  5. Wondered who the 'Get your tits out' chants were aimed at. Not good, but that's charvas for you.
  6. Forgot to say there was a good effort from the young'uns in the Gallowgate Corner tonight, with plenty of singing and joviality. Also a couple of older looking lads chucked out, with one having to be 'helped' be 3/4 officers. Also some mad youngsters who stood for most of the first half with their tops off. They'll learn the hard way!
  7. Pedro - 15000ish was mentioned earlier in the thread. I thought about 20k, but there were lots of empty seats. Why? I wonder if many fans just aren't arsed about the FA Cup this year and have perhaps picked that up from Hughton? Either way - I enjoyed it, though we never had to shift out of 2nd. Enrique and Jonas linked up well down the left. Pancrate looks a flash in the pan and not good enough to be here any length of time. Krul had nout to do, so he must have been freezing his tits off.
  8. Congrats PP. With regards to the email, it's poorly worded and will have doubtlessly done more harm to the trust than good. The trust need to reorganize their PR if they want to maintain some of the credibility that they have gained over the last couple of months. In their defence though, the organization is still young and mistakes will be made. They will need to learn from them though. Can they achieve their aims? I'm not sure because should we gain promotion, Ashley will up what he wants and the trust just won't have the clout. That's not to say they can't get a piece of the action in the future though. That remains to be seen. I also look forward to seeing the accounts and the subsequent analysis of them.
  9. Not at all disappointed to see him go. Another player who arrived with a big reputation, on big wages but never justified them. Need to get some more bodies in this month to bolster the squad.
  10. Of course we aren't going to win the cup (very unlikely) but a cup run is always nice. And fatigue? That's bollocks - these are professional footballers. Not like they are doing a 40hr week on a building site!
  11. Full Time - replay probs a week on Weds. I'll take that. **** those who wanted us to lose. This is the FA Cup, man.
  12. Plymouth to pinch one here. Free-kick in our half. Comes to nout though.
  13. I'll take a replay now. Get them back up here and finish the job off.
  14. Kadar injured and off the field. No sub as yet. EDIT - back on now.
  15. just today ? Never gonna be anything else with an MC pairing of Butt and Smith.
  16. Agreed. Promotion is the main objective, but surely a cup run wouldn't hurt?
