  1. What's up with Dida for tomorrow night ?
  2. Not the best first half, though the ref may as well be wearing a red shirt. I'm no lover of Inter or Matterazi, but he was very harshly sent off. Not sure if the scousers will have enough in their locker to score.
  3. The West End - a time bomb ? : Sure it's got it's not too good areas, but so does everywhere else. Scotswood is being regenerated at the moment which will hopefully give the area a lift. I live in Fenham and rest assured, it's no $hithole.
  4. Just not been interested from the off. It's all about staying fit and out of bother for Milan on Wednesday night.
  5. Man United fans always argue that baiting Shearer is funny. A tad (just) obsessed with him more like.
  6. It was a very poor challenge from Eboue. He's an odious little so and so.
  7. Arsenal have been awful. Clearly not that bothered about this game.
  8. Marc Hottiger or was he away by then ?
  9. Oh and I might add that not many lads enjoyed standing behind me - but that's different with me being very tall fella.
  10. Standing should still be a part of the football experience. It can be done in Germany (and safely), so why not here ? Basically because no government will nail itself to changing things because of the Taylor Report and the outcry that would occur. As an ex Gallowgate Ender (Corner, then Scoreboard) - going to the match and standing every with the same set of lads was class. Something that many of the younger fans won't have experienced. The fact is that all-seater stadia are a massive reason as to why the atmosphere has been killed at many PL grounds. As for the Mancs - I don't have a lot of time for them. They seem to seek support from others and then pour scorn just as quickly when it suits.
  11. I wish Jacko all the best. I remember him well from those days in the mid-late 80's. He had commitment which would put many of today's squad to real shame.
  12. Not that I saw it, but I'd suggest he feels extremely let down by the majority of his players. Will be interesting to see his team selection for Man United. He has to stop having faith in players who clearly don't give a flying one.
  13. We should get rid, but who would be daft enough to take him off our hands ? As for yesterday - it seemed a tussle with Maloney but even when seen in slow mo, I didn't think there was a punch thrown.
  14. Everyone and their dog chipping in how it seems. What has our predicament got to do with a regional paper based in Northamptonshire ? A place that can boast a wonderful place as Corby ! Interesting to see that Allardyce is being absolved of any blame as well. Mind boggling.
  15. That's quite unbelievable what he's said. Absolving himself of all blame is nothing short of incredible. He's left a cancer amongst the playing side and it's going to take time to get rid. The man is an island to himself.
  16. Milner was our best man today - at least he put some effort in and tried to go past his man. Put so called bigger name players to shame.
  17. Whatever happens in the run up to the end of the season, a mass clearout is needed. I think only the likes of; Given Harper Beye Taylor Faye Enrique Milner N'Zogbia Owen have futures at the club. Everyone else not good enough.
  18. I'm not convinced that we have adequate replacements available to consign the likes of Carr and Smith to a good long spell in the reserves. If we do manage to stay up - KK has a massive rebuilding job on during the summer.

    Stephen Carr

Shouldn't be allowed to wear the shirt again, after today. Shockingly awful performance even if he was at LB. No excuse for a lack of effort and intelligence. Same can be said of Smith.
  20. We are in a relegation fight now, gentlemen - no doubt about it. The players don't look up for a fight of any kind and we are in decline. Question is - is it terminal ? It's looking that way. KK didn't help himself today - Carr at LB ? No Emre in midfield ? And persisting with the awful Smith up front ? :-[ In saying that, the damage was done well before KK took over the job.
  21. Some little whippersnapper saying KK should go and sign Tevez.
  22. Awful idea, and motivated by money. Beginning of the end if this goes through, IMO.

    Michael Owen

I reckon Owen has definitely lost 2-3 yards of pace., but that shouldn't affect his ability as a finisher. His sharpness infront of goal will improve the more games he plays. I can see him becoming something of an Inzaghi type of striker, as he's never been blessed with great pace. Just sits on the shoulder of the last man and waits for his opportunity.
  24. Yup - I remember when they had Souness on just after he was sacked. Nothing like rubbing our nose in it, eh ? Wouldn't mind if Key's gave them a hard time, instead of the constant arse kissing.
  25. As I said - players who are clearly mutton dressed as lamb. We are/have been seen as an easy pay day for very average players. This has to stop now because it's gone on for too long.
