  1. Mourinho opted for him a few years back so if we play to his talents I'd take him.
  2. Back from the match and have to say we didn't start too bright. Fulham seemed a much fitter team, with better movement and also pressed well. Good points... We won and didn't fall apart under pressure at the end. Team spirit is high. We played some good passing football but only in small parts. Hopefully this will improve as players get used to each other. Cabaye played some loverly balls and has a canny shot on him. S. Taylor was tackling like a man possesed. Some excellent defending from him. Tim Krull made some excellent saves. My motm. Bad points... Tiote is turning in to the new Batty with the number of balls he plays back. Long ball game remains from the back/keeper. Obertan needs confidence. Made some goods runs and tackles tracking back. Needs to be more direct when running up front on his own instead of stopping/hesitating. Ba is no good in the air but got an assist and made some good runs. Did anyone see his ball control when Tiote played the ball down the wing to him? Laughable that was.

Needs a bigger t-shirt. Doesn't need an Alan smith haircut though
  5. Well he does have to tell Nile ranger he is sacked
  6. Cue Joey getting caught on the ball lots. Can't wait to see him & Tiote against each other in a couple of weeks. You could not make it up could you. His first game will be against us.
  7. Funny to watch the joey barton show on football focus this morning. Coincidental how they happened to be at QPR yesterday on the day he signed. Apparently there were other clubs in for him but he would not say who they were.
  8. Only lasts during daylight hours which is why he should have plans outside the fasting times to get food etc. It's not like this is his first season as a pro football is it? I just don't know why he is so poor. Ramadan ends on the 29th

    Nolan Roux

He did score one goal and has flicked his blond hair across his head up front though "Played" is such a strong verb to use there. Yes your right. I have fixed it now.

The most we've ever paid for a striker under Ashley was the £5.7m on Xisco. Smith cost more didn't he?

    Another free transfer ...to prison
  15. We didn't lose at home to Arsenal and away to Sunderland last season either. No but arsenal weren't 4 up by half time either. Point being we have so far stopped the yo yo results And we have nothing to offer forward. Have you looked at the league table? Stop thinking we should be the Harlem globe trotters and look at the fact that so far this season we are yet to lose. Arsenal are worse off. Short term view. It's about where we'll be a few months after the transfer window when the bench is loaded with teenagers. Man Utd don't look too bad. Yes, but Fergie doesn't sell the promising ones at the first club waving a chequebook. Ridiculous comparison. Rossi and pique are bad examples then?
  16. Is that number how many grands he has made for holding the shirt to take that photo?
  17. The type of players we're getting now, I don't think a leader of the Barton ilk is that major. We've still got influential players out there maybe not in the in-your-face style of Barton, but Coloccini, Tiote, and looking likely Cabaye are players who'll get the team going in a different way. And if the players do need a rollocking, I've no doubt whatsoever that Carver & Stone (wow, I've just got that some people carve stones...genius) will be at hand to dish that one where necessary. I guess this is so but I'll miss the "Barton in-your-face approach" tbh. I bet Alan pardew won't though

Let's look long term we are making good signings now with the reserves. I look forward to the future.
  19. It is time for others to do the biz on the pitch not off it. Is Alex Ferguson a cunt for getting rid of Roy keane?

  22. Yes but so far we haven't lost in competitive fixtures this season though
  23. Tbf it has been the same for every other club and player who has left (when players leave)
  24. Read that and I totally understand that Barton is entitled to look after his financial affairs and put himself and his bank balance first. For the same reason I think we as a football club have to look after our financial affairs and make sure we don't end up like Everton. For that reason I'm very pleased that we didn't cave in to either Barton or Nolan's demands for long contracts on big money. Here here. You know what you could do the opposite. You could give a homesick player a new contract of 250 grand a week after he tells you he is homesick to appease him and his family. Yet a year later you get the same story. Even the richest clubs have a limit.
