Nah, he's a very good CB. Nah. Rafa doesn't rate him much there and neither do I. Rafa rates him he needs to learn the lingo and you can see now he is trying because he uses hand gestured to team mates as well as as talking to communicate so he is working in the 20 and 80% zone.
2. He was a yard to far over to the left goal post and should have done better for the goal but in fairness he makes great saves and is certainly worth a lot more than the 250 grand we bought him for.
3. but he didn't blast it and Jamaal made the right tackle, so get the f out of here trying to find a way to criticize him after such a great performance. Weirdly miserable. Or just being realistic. Swansea didn't test us defensively. Merino was head and shoulders the best player on the pitch. If you want to be realistic only Man U and Man City who are 1st and 2nd have conceded less goals (2) in the league. We have conceded 3 so you can look at these facts and they say he has been part of a very good defence so far.
4. Hadn't heard that. Wheres this from? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/09/01/rafa-benitezs-long-term-future-serious-doubt-newcastle-fail/

6. Yeah but they were guaranteed to keep a clean sheet for the rest of the game so they could throw men forward for 90 minutes. Back of the net. They scored 56 goals all season mind
7. 22 appearances for AZ and 43 goals conceded. Statistically with Tim between the sticks that effectively meant AZ were 2-0 down every game before a ball was kicked
8. Was at the airport this morning. Offa to Amsterdam
9. Very good player and excellent in the air. We won so much possession with him winning balls in the air.
10. Nope but he did lead with his elbow so it was a naughty one. Luckily he got away with it but if you move you elbow toward an opponent like that you are asking for trouble.
11. His wages are 3.5m Euros a year apparently. Depending on which rag you read Colback is on more
12. Was about to argue against that but then remembered when I was going to home games it was staggering how many people around our seat seemed to get their information only from Sky and the red tops. I hear Souness slaughtered him today. Souness rightly slaughtered him. A crap manager but he's rarely wrong about central midfield defensive situations. He has the talent but it was a yard behind play by the second half. He had holidays but very little pre season so was expecting that yard but booting balls in to players legs etc due to that and not knowing the team. He needs time. Souness called Shelvey but was shown to have been a dirtier player himself going by social media this week. If he was 70% today he will be better in a couple of weeks so expect a big improvement then. His back to back is Hayden so expect better balance when Shelvey is back
13. What I noticed the most today was Rafa's badge of Nufc pointing down in his interview after the match ?
14. We needed to give our new recruits proper pre seasons and we didn't. We also need a number 10 quite badly otherwise Gayle is useless in this league.
15. Full Huddersfield presser...

17. Rafa is in charge. Why have a limited wage structure in place only to find players leaving after you can replace them? That is where we are and the rich clubs obviously pick up big fees for players once clubs become desperate hence why they are there. The two extremes of the league right there tbh.
18. Think Ashley would snap your hands off at that now. He's clearly fed up, Sports Direct doesn't need as much exposure as it used too, especially now that it's paying for it, and he doesn't want to have to put his money in it and his f*** up's ate requiring him to do just that whenever we go down. Drawing parallels. Soz Stifler... Had a few dances off her when I've been in Blue velvet with friends. Think Ashley would snap your hands off at that now. She's one of the ones who will push her fanny in your face, usually I like that but hers smells f***ing rotten. He's clearly fed up, Sports Direct doesn't need as much exposure as it used too Only had dances off her because she agreed to take less money for the dances when me and my mate said we were skint especially now that it's paying for it, and he doesn't want to have to put his money in it and his f*** up's ate requiring him to do just that whenever we go down.
19. One thing I noticed with the Tottenham game was how many times they pressed us in to punting the ball up the field only to give it straight back to Spurs as Gayle is no target man. He could well be a good number 10 as not only is he good in the air but also good on the deck and would help get Gayle and the wingers in to the game further up the field. He could be more effective than Perez in that role.
20. From memory Alli was playing on the left a lot and ran past Manquillo on the inside left channel to score.
21. All 16 mins of Fridays presser are on YT is anyone wants to watch it. Wasn't sure if I can put links up but here it is:
22. Wonder what Mike did with the 929m cash he got when he sold 43% of Sports Direct? Then there is the dividends and Mash Holdings income that has been going in to his pockets for the last 10 years. Where's that gone Mike?
23. Absolutely. I do wonder whether this is a major obstacle for us too. Not just finding the bucks, but breaking the structure. If for example Shelvey is the top earner on £50k per week (not sure of source for this claim and figure) then there's zero chance we're bringing in a one-legged left back on 60% more. Might even scupper any 'star' signings if existing players have contract clauses linked to relative salary. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/04/11/newcastle-would-have-to-pay-jonjo-shelvey-80000-a-week-in-the-ch/
