I never said it was a disgrace merely a mistake. For what it's worth Taylor played well today. The only thing I noticed was that he lost his man for their second, not even sure I'd class that as a mistake to be honest, he had a decision to make and chose to fill the space rather than follow the man, as it turned out he might have been better to do differently, but it could equally have turned out that that was the wrong thing to do also. So no real criticism of Taylor today, in fact a good block at the end that saved us the win. Still like to see Yanga-Mbiwa starting though. Why? Long term I have no doubt he'll be first choice. As it stands he doesn't deserve to displace either centre back, and it's just fantastic to see his supposed quality able to come off the bench.

People may still be thinking Pardew won't pick the bloke, but thankfully seems another happy chappy seeing a bright future. Feel-good factor back at Newcastle - Sylvain Marveaux http://www.journallive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2013/02/02/feel-good-factor-back-at-newcastle-sylvain-marveaux-61634-32730691/#ixzz2JjYoTOtM

True. Unfortunately for Pardew though, the way they're bombing around I'd be staggered if any more than one out of Sissoko, Gouffran and Cisse can last the whole game. Even Cabaye may still need protecting. If that is the case, and we see the Ameobis, I hope to God it won't cause us to collapse quite as badly as we did against Reading.

Aye what a bastard indeed. A thoroughly cowardly performance.

We'll see. Think that's bollocks meself like. It's not. He moaned about them all the time before the new signings came in. Nah, he was just disappointed that some of them weren't able to step up, and yes, that some of them looked less than bothered. Above that, I think the root of the criticism was the lack of squad depth which had forced his hand in selecting of them at this point in their development in the first place. To me, he seems to good deal of faith in our youth players, he spends a fair bit of time watching them at the lower levels, and has always shown a willingness to get them experience with the first team squad (even when they aren't yet ready to get games like Campbell). Now that we have some depth, we'll see more of them rightly go out on loan like Inman and Good which is where they need to be; There is nothing that he's done that actually makes me think that he sees the kids themselves as a burden.

Nobody is bothered about the nature of his problems, but he needed to put it all to bed until the summer and that is a fantastic way to do it. Cheers Colo, top interview.

And to summarise... He said: “If I look at the situation from a footballer’s point of view, it is perfect. “I am the captain, we have good players already and have signed new faces. “If I wanted to leave for football reasons, people could call me crazy. “Why would I want to go back to Argentina? “We have a great team and we are one of the biggest teams in the Premier League. “The fans are unbelievable and now we’ve signed a few players who are going to be good for the team. “I heard that people think I have a problem with the club. “But I have no problem with anybody here – the staff are fantastic. It is just a personal problem.”

On Pardew... Pardew has always been a rock of support to his players during tough times, and Coloccini told the Chronicle: “Yes, he always is. “Every time in the last month or the last year he has been supportive. “He knows a lot about me, about football and life. “We met a lot of times. He said to me, ‘Listen, I am a person and you have to think like I’m your father’. “He gave me advice and said, ‘I can speak to you like a manager and a father’. “That is very important to me because he gave me a lot of help.” oubts about Coloccini’s future piled on the misery for United fans after a season which has turned into a grim battle against relegation. Yet he insists he is the only man for the job. He said: “Some fans may have wondered ‘can he still be the captain if his head isn’t right?’ “But the manager still had he confidence in me to give it. “It is extra motivation for me on top of the drive I already have, plus responsibility that I want to take. I will try to put the problems to one side.”

More... Since then United have worked closely with the defender to resolve what has emerged as a “personal problem” and when asked if the Geordie faithful were like a family to him, he told the Chronicle: “Yes. I always said that. I am alone here with my family, we don’t have the grandparents here or uncles and aunties. “It does make it difficult. Not for me personally because I come to work everyday, but for my kids and wife. “Here, though, the club and the fans are my family at the moment. The love that they give to me with my song and on the pitch for me is fantastic. “It’s the best present they can give me.” Coloccini arrived at St James’ Park under Kevin Keegan for a £10m fee from Deportivo la Coruna, and he instantly formed a bond with the club. Asked what the club means to him, he said: “A lot. I have spent more time at this club than anywhere else in my career. “This club will always be a big part of my life."

Pards looks like he has his smile back watching the presser regarding Zaha. Seems like we we've been talking to Palace over the last year but once ManU came in we didn't stand a chance. Say's its a shame as Wilfried would have got more games with us, though that Alex might disagree...

Had. He had a horse called Django. For about 3 days. Django is now in a stottie.

A considerably different version of the quote. 'It is never over til it’s over and club like this we are always likely to do business. If we lost a player we might have a look and see.' 5 in, 1 out makes our wages budget unhappy.

I have come to the conclusion that his personal problem is that he has lost the ability to communicate vocally. /Oddly, if anything I'd have thought that'd help his marriage! But apparently not.

No it really wouldn't. Yeah. Yeah it would. We're bottom of the God damned league.
