Is that a Power Rangers head (or a guy in a ski mask)? Looks suspiciously like a Power Rangers head.

Is Mike Ashley the worst person ever to have been associated with NUFC?
BottledDog replied to AlanSkÃrare's topic in Football
Not being picky like, but for one thing, only one of those quotes is Ashley as far as I can see (about his kid where he says nothing about the police advising him in the first place, hell I would have advised him the same at the time), and two, without going through them individually, a number of them have a pretty misleading lack of context and to be frank you'd be hard pushed to call lies as such in the first place. /Obligatory Disclaimer: Not that they're not eejits sometimes, and of course dealt with Keegan very poorly indeed. -
That's what I initially thought, it happens quite often too. Man U have only just gotten around to spending the bulk of the Ronaldo money. Can you remember if the Manc Reds were similarly up in arms the next transfer window demanding receipts after Ronaldo left?

Just don't think we're interested. King Kazenga is a fuck sight better than the Zog anyway.

A very good question.

Thanks to Lovenkrands. /according to Lovenkrands.

Wayne Routledge signs 3 year deal with Swansea
BottledDog replied to clintdempsey's topic in Football
I'd say an important first team member of 2 Championship winning teams was quite a decent squad player for a lower table Premiership club to have tbh. He's probably at the height of his marketability now though, so selling him off to free up some window space for new product would be a good business move from the club. You are just precious. -
Planking, eh? Besty just looks like he's just been shoved on top of the locker and set on fire.
-
We view on that is just that I would rather have him play for us for a season, added to the fact that we might end up good enough to keep him at the end of it. You're right though, I fully expect the club not to take that view, and understandably so. Love Jose to bits but have a problem with any player playing in the team if I know he's gone at the end of the season. If, he doesn't sign a new contract (and yes I realise that that doesn't mean he wont be off anyway mind ), I really feel he needs to go asap (whatever money he brings in) if we still have M'Bengue on the burner ready to come in.
-
No. Not in the slightest anymore. We should already have put aside a slice of money for this and the last window so focusing on that figure doesn't make much sense to me anyway, it all comes from the same pot in the end. All I know is that it is a good chunk of money that will be invested into the club and will have given us an increased budget to invest in players, and beyond that I think its is pointless trying work out where it all goes. As for those adding caveats that, well we we hoped it would give us a chance to really push the boat out, I would agree. That would be great. With a gambler like Ashley, fingers crossed we may still be surprised, we are already on a more interesting road with the type of players we bring in and the football philosophy than the likes of Sunderland and that is important in my eyes. Were not just playing it safe. Beyond, looking at the accounts and checking that nobody is making a fast buck (and hell we're not even being bummed by the bloke with interest on his loans at the moment), I don't see the point in getting hung up on not being able to see exactly where that £35m goes if we're still see progress on and off the pitch.

Sits it out til Christmas, opens talks with Barca to toddle off on a freebie.

Then it's settled. If we don't buy him we're fucking stupid And yet Douglas says otherwise. I don't care how far apart their desks are, there is only one way to sort this shit out.... http://cdn.caughtoffside.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/Harry-Hill-Fight-AP-WDC5.jpg

This is starting to get silly. These are things you will never find out. No. No we really don't. If we have a better team next season. If not. Simples!

there isn't really a contradiction in the reporting.

Todays Chronicle: They do their very best to shoot down any credibility they build up, like. Boelcke_Jasta2 Oswald Boelcke @ @MsiDouglas Todays Chronicle.. Sources close to Charles N’Zogbia have also re-iterated wages are not the issue. Howay Mark whats going on??? @MsiDouglas Mark Douglas @Boelcke_Jasta2 It is what it is. Probably speaking to different ppl. Transfers are a complicated business! They certainly are Mark, they certainly are. Fuck me.

Massive twats though they were with Keegan, utter liars may be a little strong when you look at the findings. /And of course I'd wager if you stick every single bunch in charge stretching back in front of a tribunal, similar shit could be stuck on them. -
There's no reason to be frustrated though, that's the thing I don't understand. We've made some good moves and are obviously working on others. There's no way our squad could be described as threadbare at the moment IMO. We obviously lack quality up front, but not numbers. I don't know what kind of summer people were expecting, if what has happened so far seems negative to them. It just baffles me. Couldn't agree more. The only minor frustration for me has been that we were clearly in for Gamiero, and missed out. Other than that it's the Enrique issue, but then that is completely out of our hands. Oh, and regarding Long, I might be way off, but get a Bellamy vibe from the few games I've seen him play (and yeah, youtube too ). Fast, hard working, calm and intelligent - seems decent.
-
How many strikers did you think we were going to sign this summer, 3? Think that's a bit optimistic for one transfer window. If we get one more to go with Ba I'll be satisified with that. Obviously I'd rather have more, but come on, it was never likely we'd sign 3 strikers. If we're playing one up front, I can't exactly see where all these strikers you guys would like would fit in. They might be shite but we still have Best, Ameobi, Lovenkrands, Ranger, Airey and Xisco behind Ba as strikers. Unless we miraculously get shot of a raft of those, I couldn't see any reason to get more than one in, and he'll have to be fairly adaptable striker cum midfielder who can also fulfil the HBA role occasionally if he doesn't want to be primerily a bench warmer. /on a side note, I'm really looking forward to seeing where Lua2, Vukic and Ameobi2 fit in this year too. They are at the stage where they need to get some games, especially Vukic.

I think it's already clear that that will not be the case. I can't remember anyone disputing that this summer would be the ultimate test of his ambition for the club, and yet we're already seeing the excuses being rolled out in preparation. Even though there's ages to go yet, as we are all reminded daily. Not only that, but we've had 5 months to look at strikers after the January window, and it seems fairly obvious that we don't have a f***ing clue who to bid for. abit early to say that with almost two months of the transfer window remaining.... If we'd been a bit smarter and taken advantage of the time we had, then we'd probably have a striker in, or at least a few more capable strikers in our sights by now instead of dishing out the excuses we all know and hate. Shane long is decent, and I'll admit I know nothing about this Erdinc bloke so that one could have been alright if it had came off, but I'd like to think we can aim at least a little bit higher than Shane Long with 30-odd million to spend. We have brought a striker in, haven't we? /tempted to class HBA as one too to a degree -
@MsiDouglas Mark Douglas @Dharrisafc It's interesting though: no-one is exactly beating down Wigan's door despite lots of interest.. V.expensive. jamiehird jamie hird @MsiDouglas Is n'zogbia more likley to villa are #NUFC ? @MsiDouglas Mark Douglas @jamiehird Neither at current price/wages
