No, Newcastle United. What was the smiling nodding face for, sorry I didn't get it? Could it.... could it have been a smug 'told you we were too shit for him' smiley? I'm betting it was! I'm betting it was a smug 'told you we were too shit for him' smiley.

Heads up reminder from the fine folks at HUKD - 6,500 SEASON TICKETS FOR £100 (fert kids) http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/6-500-newcastle-utd-season-tickets-for-100-each-junior-10th-june/954990#comments

We've got to convince them to come here first. Perhaps Sunderland are more realistic about what they can attract. A fair point.

The greatest South Korean, after Ban Ki MOON ... and that's only cos of his name. The fuck!?!
-
Thing is that that is exactly the same as he said a few months ago - nothing's changed. He said that he was contracted for 5 years and was happy to be here for the 5 years. It is now simply down to the club whether goes the full five or we try and get a little money for him now. I'd be tempted to plump for the latter now if 'm honest.

Yeah, was about to comment on that rather massive flaw in the article.

Fulham confirm the appointment of Martin Jol as manager
BottledDog replied to Colocho's topic in Football
Of Fulham? Give over. -
Oh, wait, hold your fucking horses. He does want to come, and we're happy to double his wages. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/194966/Charles-N-Zogbia-to-snub-Liverpool-for-Toon-return/? But a source close to N’Zogbia said: “Charles never really wanted to leave. It was Kinnear he fell out with, not Newcastle. “He has kept in touch with several of his former team-mates and told them he would love to go back. “And while he has never worked for Alan Pardew, he knows his No.2 John Carver very well. “In fact, it was John who gave him his Premier League debut when he was caretaker-manager. “He thoroughly enjoyed his time there, loves the city and would jump at the chance of pulling on the shirt again.

Happy with that. We'll get to see if he can step up, and if he looks the business but the bara brith botherers go down, we'll be his first choice!

Fulham confirm the appointment of Martin Jol as manager
BottledDog replied to Colocho's topic in Football
He just pays the managers far more than a club like Fulham should be paying. Jol isn't going to achieve anything other than a nice salary and a London address. Waste of a good manager but then if he's happy with putting his feet up good luck to him. Can see them finishing in the top seven next season. At the expense of whom? Everton? -

Hmm, I too like the Jol, but wish no luck on Fulham whatsoever. -
piss off.

What a terrifically offensive and inaccurate thread title.

Outside of having a contract for another 2 seasons, he's in limbo!? Give over.

Wouldn't go that far. Was bailed out twice by his defenders. Decent performance though. Be interesting to see what Van Marwijk has to say about it.. Aye, decent, kicking not the best either if we are being picky... but I really shouldn't be, so... Well done Tim, proud as punch to see you out there against Brazil.
-
How no one else had noticed or mentioned this sinister angle yet is beyond me. Well done for saying what needed to be said, tbh.
-
That's cute and all, but seeing as he has played for us pretty damn recently... no.
-
Maybe he hasn't applied for any? I would find that pretty staggering considering the noises he has come out with himself about getting back into a job asap (and not going back to coaching). He's certaily been heavily linked to a number of them including reports that he met with the WBA board etc, but, I guess we'll never know. If he doesn't get a job soon mind, there's a danger his ship might have sailed.

First off, nobody in the world would suggest a manager has any sway over deciding a wage offer, and not a chance in hell that would happen under this lot. As such, it is not a dig at Keegan. Secondly, it seems fairly plausible they sat down with Owen to get an extension in place with a slight increase for him until effectively the end of the season, when he could go, and we could expect some cash for him in return rather than lose him on a free.
