Jonas Gutierrez signed from Mallorca on 5 year deal
BottledDog replied to magorific's topic in Football
Would also like to know. Still not seen it confirmed, although he's played our last 2 home games which makes me wonder? From 'who might these keys belong to' Louise, ...Then there is Jonás Gutiérrez, an Argentinian winger who upset his former employers, Real Mallorca, by buying out his contract to join Newcastle. The La Liga club are appealing to Fifa for extra compensation and, while Gutiérrez is free to play in friendlies, Newcastle have yet to receive the registration papers from Mallorca that will enable him to play in the Premier League... http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=53940.1175 -

Nope, pretty sure it's safe not to tar everyone with the same brush. -
To be honest, I reckon he'd only be gutted about losing Owen, and even then, as long as he can bring his own men in he'll be fine. The board need to back him though, be it through contacts or new signings. I'm sure they will do though, as they've now spoken about contracts for all of these three I don't understand why they are talking about it and doing nothing though ? Are they playing games with the players or something ? Just get them signed up if Keegan wants them, show them good faith, and behave like a progressive club by doing so ffs Signing Michael Owen asap on a new contract will speak volumes in football circles and tempt other players they target See, the only problem I have with them at the moment is they're talking a bit more than I'd want. I'd rather hear nothing coming from the club until things are sorted. Who's to say they're not already sorting these contracts out now premiership status is secure? thats about the size of it. I agree. What are they mouthing off for ? Just get on with it and tell us when its done. The only motivation they have in talking about it and all these silly digs, is basically points scoring ie "appeasing" Stupid tbh Oh fer ferks sake. Silly digs? They are reasuring people that contract situations regarding a number of our players will be addressed now our top flight status is assured. Whether they manage to strike a deal suitable for all parties who knows, but glad to hear that they're on to it. Glad to be "appeased". sorry Jon. Its the players they should be talking to, not the press. Perhaps you can tell us what, if you think Morts comments, which are the subject of this thread, are all about then ? Who do you think he's talking about, and if you agree with him, please tell us who and why ? Who is this player that has "appeased" us,that he thinks isn't what the club should be doing, and he knows better ? He must have had somebody in mind or he wouldn't have said it. Don't you agree ? I'd be more likely to agree if I knew what you were on about. What comments are you reffering to, all I saw from Mort in this thread were - “Steven Taylor is a young and very promising defender. “We would like him to stay at the club long term. “We will sit down with Steven and his father and hopefully work something out.” Seem pretty straight forward and an odd thing to wrap one of your conspiracy theories around. That said, I'm all ears.

Everton. Miserable scouse pricks with a plethora of chips on their shoulders.

What a load of cobblers. Forgetting that there is not a great deal of evidence to support your assertions regarding Zoggy, just where on earth are you getting that Emre doesn't care for the cause? Sads highligheded how it was great to see how Emre puts everything into even reserve games, and that it was a joy to work with him. After his injury in that game Keegan spoke of his dissapointment and just how useful Emre was as one of the few that can bring something different to the team in terms of opening up defences. He's injured and yet doesn't turn up for games? Woah, the fecker needs crucifying.

No doubts about it, just be confirmed on tribal football dot com.

"In the biggest changes since Mike Ashley bought Newcastle last summer, The Times can reveal that Tony Jimenez, a London-based property developer, will join the board as a vice-president and Jeff Vetere, a scout for Real Madrid, will be appointed as technical director to complete a continental-style management structure working in support of Kevin Keegan." Wah wah wah, the knee jerk hand wringing on this forum is unbelievable. It amazes me why so many on here are getting their panties in such a fucking wad over a change in the club structure people have been banging on about for years.

Redknapp rejects Newcastle or Newcastle reject Redknapp?
BottledDog replied to Dokko's topic in Football
Or at least got the wrong end of the stick and used it to his advantage. Criticism and cynicism are generally pretty healthy traits, but taking on board this case, I hope people take note of Morts interview and maybe try not to dive in and damn those running the club so hastily next time. -
I'm not implying we did or we didn't, the gist was 'who the ferk knows', aimed at you getting all uppity and judgemental that we approached Redknapp, despite having no clue where he was in the pecking order, or who else was sounded out that didn't spout off to the media.
-
How about judging them on the sheer fact they approached Nappy first? Eh? Meh, for all we know they approached Mourinho first. Considering Redknapp hadn't even talked to Ashley, which I would guess would be one, if not the most important things to do for an incoming manager (it certainly was for Keegan), not to mention for Ashly himself, i would say it was far from the clear cut case that saggy chops chose to release to the media.

Expires next week. Seriously, does anyone know? Some fella on here who said he was ITK (i know, i know) said 3 years didn't he? 3 1/2 according to the Beeb.
