TBH I think it confirms to everyone which league we'd be plying our trade in had we not brought back KK. Even if he doesn't come back, he saved our arses again. Did Keegan really make such a massive impact? By pulling in 21 points since new year, yes we stayed up, but it's hardly the most glowing endorsement of his tenure that every other manager bar those that went down managed to get more.

Why a warning flag? We were hardly going to try and keep hold of an unhappy player. Reports at the time said that he wanted to go.

You state "The facts you cannot ignore are" and then proceed to give us a list made up mostly of media fuelled misinformation, assumptions and total bullshit. Good job. What! 1) He did state there would be a WOW signing. Seriously, I would hate to pull you up on stating bollocks as fact. Do you have any quotes to back that up.

I agree that having a supporters club is a positive thing I just worry that the timing of setting it up is wrong. If it was set up during a more positive period for the club then I'd expect the meeting to attract a wide range of people with differing views but I think the majority of people there tomorrow night will want to carry on with protests which could potentially further destabalise the club. This. Terrible timing when emotions are running high. Doubt there will be more protests though, they have got what they wanted.

I was very happy with the Ashley model. Very excited by building the club up in the right fashion, developing and buying in the best young talents while bringing in some great international players to top things off. Now that that has gone up in smoke after a molehill turned into fucking Everest, the prospect of a sleazy shit like Shepherd, or some foreign megabucks tycoon bringing in his own players, or some faceless consortium coming in just depresses the hell out of me.

@ the logic. Ashley controlled the fans through the dark arts of spin and PR and got them to demonstrate on saturday? Spectacular. He certainly knows which buttons to press to get a reaction. Like he says - he's not stupid - so he knows what his actions will provoke. So had there been no protests at all he would still have put the club up for sale this week? Amazing co-incidence that like. Imo he's been waiting for the opportunity to put us up for sale in the light that he's the victim. Yeah, because nothing is more enticing to a prospective owner to offer a healthy profit than seeing the club in turmoil and the last owner being told to get out, that he and his staff are cockney mafia, having his family threatened and deciding/feeling forced to walk away from this fucking madhouse. What an opportunity!!!! -
I wonder why? Perhaps it was because they were certain of the facts in this case, but weren't in the other? Nah, that can't be it, it's far to realistic a situation to have happened, not to mention nowhere near evil enough. Amazing isn't it. Refuting yet another story damaging to us, yet rather than a sigh of relief, people seem to prefer to see the worst and hammer the club further.

Not too far off from the way I see it sadly.

The next logical step. A supporters panel, headed by Frank fucking Gilmour.

Let's hope not. The cult of personality, Shearer, Keegan, whoever, while I too love it and feel it is part of what makes the town buzz on a saturday, is really starting to get to me. I'm not sure all the nonsense peddled in the papers that we only need a Geordie or someone who 'truely understands the club' helps the club in any way, and has been a shadow over incoming managers for far too long.
-
He probably thinks there will be protests if he doesn't bring keegan back. And he'd probably be right. 'You've fucked us over, we thought you'd bring back the messiah...etc....'

Dear Dave, We are looking for a replacement. Will update you as and when we appoint someone. Cheers, Mike That do?

Cheer up. Bassong seemed particularly perky today in his interview and according to CH the training went well, so I'm not sure how you know for sure there is low moral in the sqaud. As for 'knowing' some of our players wanting Wise and Ashley out, I take it this is based purely on Ngo Baheng joining a facebook group? I'm not trying to back up what Mr S here is saying but Hughton is hardly likely to say, "oh training was an absolute disaster, everyone was moping around because KK has gone". Take what hughton says here with a pinch of salt, the training probably wasn't a disaster but if you think the players are uneffected by KK's departure, then I'm sorry but you are living in cloud cuckoo land. I am not argueing that they have no been affected (of course they will have been), but we have no way of knowing to what extent and based on interviews today it seems that they are doing their best to move forward. I was simply taking issue with someone who somehow knows for sure that they have a low moral, and knows that some players want the owners out based on sodding facebook.

Why rush it anyway. Get the right man in.

Go have a read of the Ambani thread. It looks as if Ashley has made it perfectly clear ot them he's not selling. Where in that thread does it look as if Ashley has made it perfectly clear ot them he's not selling? Dont tell me you were taken in by the aborted Rick'roll.

What £10,000,000 on staff payouts? They've all walked haven't they? -

half decent team isn't good enough. Keegan broke the record transfer fee for the club for a defender when he bought Darren Peacock, in fact. He also did it again when he bought Warren Barton. Gullit paid big money to buy Marcelino and Goma when the club needed defenders. Then they did it again when they bought Woodgate. Didn't stop them buying strikers and forwards as well. But continue defending the fat b****** for all that your'e worth and ignoring these facts. Why did we sell Woodgate then if it wasn't a good deal? Or Les Ferdinand for that matter? I seem to remember a certain "fat b******" chairman describing both deals as exactly that. Les Ferdinand was sold before your scrapegoat was chairman. And Woodgate was a good deal. If you are trying to say the club didn't back its managers, then your on a different planet. Aside of this, you'll never get it, until one day you are looking at a half empty ground of a club that sells its best players. And even then, you'll never admit that you were wrong. Mike Ashley is running this club into the ground, and its extremely sad that people like you have not seen the blindlingly obvious. He doesn't care about the club, and doesn't particularly want to be successful on the pitch, so long as he makes a profit from ticket sales, player sales, TV Revenue. etc etc. Wake up and smell the coffee. Woodgate was sold late in the window and not replaced until January...what's to say Keegan wouldn't have got his Milner replacement in a similar fashion? If I remember rightly, keegan said exactly that. If they didn't manage to use the money in this window, they will do thier best in the next. In fact he made a point of highlighting the similarities of the Andy Cole deal as a reason to trust him over the Milner sale. -
To be fair If I see Ince im going to bloddy plead he doesnt take the job if he is offered it. With you there, not a fan of the bloke, and there's no way he deserves the job. But to call on all managers to boycott the club? That's really going to help us move forward. :-[

http://toon-talk.net/home/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=68&Itemid=56 Oh great, now people are speaking for the rest of us and pleading with Ince and any other potential manager to turn down the job 'for the sake of our club'. No money for the clubs coffers, boycotts and now driving away any future manager for the club, christ, this is fucking nuts. People really do want the club to implode.
