  1. And none of them will keep the payments up when they realise how little say you get for your £35, leaving the club in the shit. Heard the bloke running it on TalkSport a few hours back. He reckons members will get to vote on everything: team selection, tactics, training facilities, youth programmes, stadium developments, you name it. Aye, but if there's 20,000 people voting what are the chances of your vote counting? 1 in 20,000? I wonder if some fecker will ever start bulk buying accounts to get a block vote. /By christ their forums are going to get lively when the kneejerking kicks in. //Are the blokes running this/doing the deals pulling a salary from the membership fee? Cannot see anything about it on the site.
  2. I think you missed the joke mate. Wasnt that good to be fair.
  3. Good luck to Norwich, and Glenn, but I have very little respect for Roeder as a manager or the oft trotted out idea of him being a 'nice person'. From the off his demenour and self referencing turned me right off, and sadly it wasn't very hard to understand that a player might find it difficult to respect the man.
  4. He drinks way too many Red Bulls. Waaaaay too many. Last time I talked to him he was all over the shop. Nice guy, just don't think he or his collars are the greatest role models for the kids.
  5. Spot on, that. What, that if we came away with a point or better you'd be glad? Well.... ummm yeah. I'm all for effective winning tactics rather that flouncy faaaabulous football. But to attempt to kill the game and fail (against even poor opposition) is a damn sight more depressing everytime.
  6. How? It's always good to remain positive. I'm with UL, could have been worse etc etc.
  7. Aye what a mong. We were a joy to watch again away from home today. nil-nil ftw. I'm amazed there were only 8 of us in the poll who were not entirely unconcerned by our playing style, especially in away games and cemented by todays display. But I guess that's what a decent result does to people.
  8. Ugly as sin logo. Looked shit tbh.

    C'mon Scotland

Big Jock, Wee Eck, Hector, Angus, Sandy, and Sidney, Lanky, Arnold, Cedric and Egbert might beg to differ. The Dandy, right? Bingo! Couldn't find any images of them though.

    Are we to...

I have to start such threads in the face of all the knee-knocking going on. Maybe you should start a poll. Is stoic and seemingly forced enthusiasm for the manager more useful or more amusing than concerned knee knocking. Discuss.
  12. Still haven't seen it. Do you think it was a bad miss, then? Or not as bad as many made out? It was on target, just not enough power. Dissapointing but just glad he hit the target after his recent efforts, and certainly not worthy of much (if any) sustained criticism for me. The team did not deserve a goal, and it would have made little difference in the end anyway. I disagree there. They'd battered us but had only just got the breakthrough. An instant response from us could have changed the game completely. Possibly. Couldn't see us suddenly finding the spirit so lacking in the rest of the game though to turn it around, but maybe could have grabbed a draw. If we had somehow managed to fashion the first goal of the match then things may have been different. As it was though, the result was fair.

  14. Really? I was very impressed, saw him do very little wrong. Maybe it was just in comparison to everything else. Midfield contributed virtually nothing, leaving the defence under constant pressure. Gameplan seemed to be Rozenhal whacking it to Shola on the left wing for flickons, or for Senderos to mess up. Agree for the most part. Nothing stand out, but he did very little wrong and had a number of encouraging moments.
  15. We were poor, very poor. Did absolutely fuck all while they danced a merry dance around us. Player ratings? Shay was ok, Taylor did pretty well, Martins made an effort, good to see Emre, though he didn't bring much to the party. Everyone else failed to do anything of note... except Shola... who was utterly shocking. Fuck knows why Martins is being hammered. Shola should be fucking put down in comparison. As our only outlet, all Martins had to work with were balls over the top. Ballooned one chance, didn't have enough power on the other, and he was far, far, far from from a player to lay much blame on. The manager/whole team deserve the criticism. Possible we might have nicked it but even then, I never had much belief that it would happen, much like the team it seemed. Another underwhelming and impotent performance. Ah well, always next year. >
  16. Wonder if Big Sams desire to see him stay in the Prem extends to offering him his own job. Or tomorrow will he name the managers he feels should be replaced before him.
  17. And what if we were to lose in the same manner, would people not be right in feeling aggrieved? I have to say I envy those that can take such performances on the chin so lightly.
  18. I'm pretty positive that the Derby game gave Benitez a good laugh. He has responded to Allardyce's remarks about how lucky the former was to still have a job at Liverpool btw. "I want to say two things," he began. "Firstly, I think he should be more worried about his own business because he must have more problems than to waste time talking about other managers. "Secondly, has he forgotten Liverpool winning the Super Cup, FA Cup and Champions League as well as reaching another Champions League final, a Carling Cup final and twice finishing third in the Premier League? "Maybe he doesn't have a great memory." http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=420932
  19. Bit random but this interview is too good not to stick up here. Wait for the adverts to finish and enjoy a head to head I just couldn't see being replicated today. http://www.itvlocal.com/yorkshire/sport/ Facinating stuff. //Could never have a more successful league campaign than me, talking about taking the shirts off and massaging their players. Gold Jerry! Make sure you watch it all.
  20. Well said.....especially talking on the pitch sick of every manager blaming injurys...bla bla fucking bla!We were playing fucking Derby like! Olliemort, hate pick you up on this, but not two pages ago you seemed to take another stance entirely. Or at least were riling against those who found such excuses all too familiar. We have had a very decent start but it still left a lot of questions. We had failed to create many (almost any) chances in our games so far this season, and this performance capped the lot. It is all very well giving someone time, and even the most ardent here I doubt are foolish enough to be wishing Sam the sack just yet, but can you not at least see that there is some basis to the growing concerns?
  21. I'm still amazed there isn't at least one thread talking about BSA's comments recently, whether they be his international excuses, or his rant at Benitez.
  22. Get away, Allardyce has lambasted Benitez for not understanding the Premiership and you have the gall to have a go at BSA for the same thing. The nerve of it.

    Graeme Le Saux

By your own arguement then, it must be a choice, as there are no gay people in Football whatsoever. I'm amazed this thread hasn't deteriorated into guessing who has the alternative lifestyle in our team. That's not an invitation to do so btw.
  24. Just been offered a £50 bet on this from a Derby supporter, but like an idiot refused to take it. I may not have the confidence that we can beat lesser teams yet, but one thing I'm loveing at the moment is that I can't see us losing this one. blueyes.gif
