  1. The Guardian's take on the fucking comedy our club and chairman seem only happy to constantly provide.
  2. Well every sports bulletin for the last couple of hours on 5 live has stated that they 'understand' that Owen has loyalty to the club and is not looking to move. No idea what their source is but it has been the top story for a while now.
  3. What do you expect? He's already got his new manager basically hired so he is not going to come out and praise Sven. I expected exactly what we got sadly, the chairman of our club making yet another insulting and embarrassing play to the gallery.
  4. Owen has made a statement saying that he feels loyal and isn't looking for a move or something (my ears may have been making things up) according to 5 live. Fair play to him, shows an admirable and honourable restraint.
  5. "I think 51% of Geordies might like the idea of Sven's girlfriend Nancy Dell'Olio on the Newcastle Quayside." Just what a base and inglorious oaf that fucker really is.
  6. And you are going to replace by far our best striker effectively with that extra £9 million in the war chest. Hmmmm, I'd be interested to see you try.
  7. I wouldn't necessarily class trying to get out of the club 'a mistake' at the moment, but that is by the by. The point is Shepherd has brought the arguement into the public domain and I just cannot see any benifit in that (certainly not for the club) other than as something Shepherd can point to when he is forced to accept some insulting offer furthur down the line. Shepherd deserves all the flack directed at him over this in my opinion.
  8. Fucks sake Freddy. This will neither alert these other clubs, or increase any desire Owen might have had to leave. No sir. Looks like the first step on the road to selling our best striker for even less than this 'clause' in desparation.
  9. Just talked to a collegue of a bloke who used to work with Alladyce at Bolton and is now at Wigan and he really doesn't rate Sam or his football at all. Again, could be just bitter but classes him as a bit of a bully in the same mold as Souness but with less depth to him, and that Newcastle will be a real test for Allardyce. Ah well, we'll just have to wait and see. As long as he gets the right staff around him I'm still certainly willing to give a character like Allardyce a lot more time than I ever afforded to the last two mangers.
  10. Aye, compared to the Blackburn folks who all seemed to sport astonished grins, the bitterness shines through a damn sight more from this lot to be fair. Some valid points have been brought up as to his recent form or the quality of his assembled players mind, but there is little doubt that if Robson had jumped ship at some point, we would seen plenty of his faults brought up on here also in an attempt to try and soften the blow.
  11. Sounds just like the Blackburn fans when we went for Souness. At least there have been a couple more positive post from supporters this time around, but this kind of thing doesn't exactly help me get excited about the bloke.
  12. Wouldn't have expected anything until tuesday to be honest, but Spacka Spoony is now picking up on it.
  13. A BBC Breaking news reporter saying that the meeting has occurred and that they are just waiting on the announcement, seems a little more than 'just a view' to me.
  14. Just heard that. Seems a certainty then. /Sorry ChristianHaynes
  15. At least Roeder is still willing to learn and develop. Yesterday he said that he has started to believe in luck. That's progress right there.
  16. Agreed. This must NEVER be allowed to happen Aye, and bring back Blitzkreig Bop by The Ramones before the KO blueyes.gif
  17. Thank God. The world was crying out for this 'study'.
  18. Certainly not, no. I can agree with you wholeheartedly up to that point.
  19. Bollocks. Speak only for yourself please.
  20. Awww, you've jinxed it now. Hope for an all English final but going for 2-1 to Milan.
  21. I saw an intervju with Madejski a couple of weeks ago were he stayted that they are aware of how difficult the seccond year usually is and therefor they don't want to risk their Premiership existence due to some games in Europe. After all just surviving in the Premiership generates a whole lot more money than playing an away game against Levadia Tallinn and getting relegated at the same time. Yup, agreed.
  22. Come on, The £200 mill is just his famous dry sense of humour, no? As for Europe, it is there second season in the top flight. Gutless? Sensible I would say, as without substantial strengthening of a determined and admittedly well organised side, they are not that far removed from Championship quality. They have plenty to be scared about.
  23. It was Liverpool who contributed, hunchback only suggested where the money he never had or was not going to get should go. Fairplay to him if he has given money to the Wrexham cause with money he has. Fair enough, either way, good to see them giving something back just as Baggio rightly stated regarding Bramble and Dyer. Hasn''t Shearer and some other old boys given some support to the boys club as well?
  24. When you say support, very few of them actually do anything financially, even matchday tickets like the rest of us. Was quite impressed to see Bellamy's contribution towards Wrexham recently though. Fair play to the lad.
  25. The Anti-Shearer!!! Double agent tbf.
