Imho, he clearly want's to play better football, and more often than not has a fairly logical grasp of our problems. But whether or not he has the wherewithal to solve the puzzle quickly and make it past Christmas I just can't judge as it stands. Last season he failed miserably, but given an easier run with injuries, and more than one decent striker on the books, he's probably got enough about him to produce a decent (and watchable) team. Let's hope the shit with Kinnear hasn't sunk his chances already though.

For what reason? Mostly a gut feeling on the back of the Kinnear appointment and Llambias resigning. He's obviously not at all happy with it, hence the silence up until it was absolutely necessary for him to speak. I think things will continue to be made extremely difficult for him, with the aim of making him walk. Plus, Gus Poyet hasn't been given a job elsewhere yet.
