He lacked fitness when he came in, which is staggering as he was probably evertons fittest player. The backroom have sorted that out with him which allows him to be a 90min option. He had a few attitude issues which seem to have disappeared. That's on him. Now it's all about making the right decisions at key moments, which is improving massively and will continue to do so over the coming years. His drive and pace were his standout attributes when we bought him and now other areas are catching up he's becoming a more complete player. Unlucky to have not scored and assisted more this season, but it'll come.

Hang on. This tnt thing. Just realised I've got discovery+ had it 18 months. Does that mean I could have been watching CL games properly all that time? ?? Good job I renewed early this month and kept it going.

Haha, me mate is in that one. Lov8ng retirement I see.

Hope everyone is having a good time and remaining respectful to the locals etc. Not heard any horror stories yet. Hopefully a good night and a big sleep before match day

Sold everything. Grounds, training, any properties such as the house they bought to house the homeless, and loaned 10s of millions at 18% from 777.

It drives them insane as they know they'll never see their club in Europe, not even 3rd tier European competition, never mind champions league. For that alone, the banner gets a big thumbs up from me. They'll pretend they'll not be watching, but if Milan win then they'll all be out the woodwork. Biggest game of the season for them.

We've played 4 of the current top 7 in the opening 5 games, and the 5th are keeping us out of the top 10. We've got some niggling injuries, all in the same-ish area as well, and had a better start than Manu & Chelsea. It's going to be a long and tough season with hopefully some memorable moments, and being brought down to earth early on can be a good thing in that everyone refocuses and stops taking things for granted. Sure we had the same points after 5 games last season and we had an easier start. turned out to be decent in the end.

He'll start and we'll win at the weekend

Wonder if he's still staying at Seaham hall.

So much damage is being done by big companies in the country through their links in government but since the media is also in their back pocket nothing is said and no one is interested. I honestly couldn't give a fuck any more. Not even going to pretend I care, just hope more money comes our way and we can upset the cartel.

Unfortunately in the footballing world, they don't exist, so It's quite easy to separate IMHO.

We've had a load of players which started on fire then never recaptured their early form. You got to know when to sell players, its a difficult balancing act which we've often got wrong. Not saying we should have sold him, but the window just gone I reckon will have been his peak value, unless something really drastic happens with his form. I really do hope it was his contract situation which has been the downturn in form as signing a new deal should sort all that out and we get him back on it, even if that means seeing further temptation down the line.
-
Guessing his uncertain future is why he's off the pace, too busy looking at moves to Liverpool and then settling with a bigger contract here. Not arse if he plays his way into a £100m+ move, right now though, you'd be daft to spend that. Looks a shadow of the player we signed.

Jesus. Doesn't sound good. Hope he makes a fault recovery.

Missing and vital cog? ?

Dog wanker as well.

Accidental Partridge all over the shop. Sure he shouts 'cook a cat' at one point ?

100% behind wor gaffer, even if he is making some mistakes. It's been such a 9/10 (minimum) performance from him for so long, he was always going to have a dip. Let's back him through this rough period and we'll all be better off for it.

Media & other fans 'few bad results and Howe will be clinging on to his job' NUFC Fans 'Never, Howe is our saviour and death do us part' A few bad results later... NUFC Fans...see the last 30mins of posts on N-O.
