He's not costing much, can finish when on form, injects some pace none of our other strikers have and seems to be a canny guy to have around. I'd like someone faster and more reliable who can create as well as score, but we've got no money and no chance of signing someone like that.

im not so sure. I think Hodgson would be a far better appointment. Hodgson has found his limit, he'd be daft to move, he wouldn't cope with the jump up. MON would be able to do so. For all i like Hodgson the season just gone will be the tidemark of his career with a prem team.

It would be seriously short sighted of Andy Carroll to join the likes of Stoke or Birmingham. Though both are currently in a better position than ourselves, it wont stay that way for long.

The guys who are talking to the client will have to make their recommendation to the commitee for approval, and arranging one is even harder when half the world has taken the week off for half term.
