  1. I really hate this Newcastle team, totally and utterly wank. Its not about settling a team down, its about brining in some players who actually can play football.

    Diarra

Diarra is far from 'established' in fact its the last thing he is. Too small for me, i personally don't see much in him either, we need a big presence in central mid, and i think thats the route we should go down next when replacing Butt.

    Arshavin

I read it some time ago when the rumours started. Have no link though. Never mind the price. What is the hype around the guy based on? I think you are mistaken him for the Arsenal & Chelsea target Mordic, who is valued at £15m Arshavin has never been valued more than £8m by every single news source going.
  4. Properly loves himself. Always remember him winking at the camera like he was Don Juan reincarnate when teams lined up for anthems etc...

    Fred

Are we talking a loan or permanent transfer? Any figures?

    Fred

Is it pronounced as plain old Fred, or is it going to be a fuk on like Henry.
  7. Looks a bit like James Milner, Pie is going to hate him. if he's just 17 then he may well become quite a physical presence as he ages & puts on some muscle mass. just look at how zoggy has filled out I really was talking about the side shot of his face mate.

    Al Bangura

Looks like he's winning his battle, the deportation has been delayed and he's now allowed to apply for a work permit. Just looks like red tape.
  9. Or the accused have the fnacial muscle to sweep it under the carpet. Or being accused because they've got financial resources. There is no doubt some of these cases get paid off, but i bet more innocent than guilty have paid of for the sake of their reputation being dragged through the mud.
  10. I just got sick of people telling me he was the coaching equivalent of Einstien. Aye, I know what you mean. Don't think you're far wrong, personally - his rotation policy usually makes little-to-no-sense, and they haven't really built on their early success under him, despite him inheriting some of the best players in the league when he took over. Rafa Benitez has once again defended his squad rotation policy. He commented ahead of Liverpool's Carling Cup tie Against Chelsea: "It keeps the burglars guessing who's at home on match days!"

We've needed to look at the youth in the leagues below us for a long time now. Its not something you can stop doing either, we should be setting aside £2-3m per year as gambles on bringing in young talent until the reserves and youth teams are bursting with talent. At the moment there is simply nothing there bar one or two maybes.
  12. Almost as ambitious as Liverpool putting a 2011 date on their new stadium. I reckon they'll be in new hands by then.
  13. I never ever believe these stories, even if it isn't anything to do with us, it always turns out to be utter shite.
  14. Getting massive cut backs, downgraded and downsized according to SSN's.
  15. He is a centre back. He's left footed (or can use his left) and can play left back, i reckon we'll see him there more than anywhere over the next few seasons even if it is to blood him.
  16. Aye but he's just made £600m if he does go through with it, i doubt he'll need the City again.
  17. Well he has hasn't he? So he listed, made a mint, bought loads of other companies with their money inside the listed company and out, value falls due to him keeping his cards close to his chest, then he buys the lot back at a massively reduced price!
  18. Looks a bit like James Milner, Pie is going to hate him.
  19. I think you are reading far too much into this transfer if you are thinking along those lines. No chance will we be selling Taylor, now really isn't the time. In in 3-4 years he hasn't improved, then would be the time to sell him, as to replacing him with a 17 year old who's only played a handful of low level games is a wee bit mental, in fact i'd go as far as saying down right fuking crazy!
  20. Played for the ESFA, so the next step would of been the under 17's (which he hasn't) but moving to NUFC maybe a enough to propel him to the U19's within the next call up. I wouldn't pay too much attention to the call up system especially at that age, who knows whats about and what other factors have stopped him from a call up so far. All that's besides the point, the point being were investing in young English talent for a future NUFC instead of buying ageing players with their best years behind them. I've heard he plays LB as well, maybe why we let Babayaro go? Hope so.
  21. Their fans aren't even sure who he is: http://www.thisisswindontownfc.co.uk/news/headlines/display.var.1907937.0.tozer_off_to_toon.php
