Everyone is expecting Allardyce to get more out of the players we have at the club, so the same must be said about Emre, if Allardyce can bring out the actual ability he has (because technically he is probably our best player) regularly, then he would be one of the first on the team sheet in my opinion. If he is going to be in and out with injuries again this year then I can understand him being sold. I wouldnt want him to go though. He's painfully slow. People knock Milner for his pace, well i'd bet my house he'd out run Emre all day long. Emre will always be injured, its all his body knows what to do. Emre at his best and fully fit would be an asset to the club, only that will never happen. Another over paid, over hyped foreigner whose failed at the club.

Stays, goes, makes no difference to us apart from his silly wages are off our books. Another waster who thinks he's better than he is.

£30k at a push. He's an important part of the 1st team whether people like it or not, and that should be the mark he should be aiming for, £25k would be more reasonable, if he's reject an offer like that then he's mad. It all depends on how much the other players are getting paid. Is Emre getting £60k+ a week? Is Duff or Barton on the same? Is Babayaro & Carr sitting pretty on £30k? Is Owen really hitting close to the £100k mark? If these are true figures, the lad deserves more than £30k a week, as he's provided more to the club than any of those players mentioned, and will no doubt provide more in the future as well.

Zoggy negotiated for well over a year to get his deal, Milner for a couple of months. People go overboard as its Taylor, he's just playing the game, don't hate him for it because its what every player does, even those who are fans of the club will seek the best deal. Some people need to get a grip of reality, fast.

Its hard for people with mortgages, bills, children, shopping etc to come up with the full amount too. I didn't say it wasn't. But you have said you would want specific deals and discounts for students when in reality most people have the same financial difficulties etc when it comes to purchasing a season ticket so I fail to see why students should get preferential treatment. Well i'd be more than happy to pay full price but like i said coming up with nearly £500 is hard. I know its like that for everyone. How much are the installments you have to pay monthly for the 08/09 season ticket? If the club made a sensible system where EVERYONE could pay money weekly/monthly out if their bank then it would benefit every one of us, be it a set fee a month or an amount you could chose to pay weekly for the year until you had paid it off. £500 a season is great by me as long as the club helped by putting in a system what makes it easier. If you go with Barclays they buy your season ticket for you (EPL only) and you pay them interest free installments over the season.
