  1. You think Milner is worth less than what we bought him for? Yet AV wanted him for the price we paid last season before he had his best professional season so far, not to mention the added money in the EPL? Clouded judgment by terrace hatred.
  2. Problem is at Citeh he was a £9m player, and if he moved you could expect to pay £12m since he was being over hyped and had a good season. Chelsea paid £21m. Now in terms of ability i don't think the price has really changed much, he's still a £9m player (due to inflation of player prices) but no one is willing to pay it, unless WHU put in a bid. But yes mate, selling Dyer for £5m+ would be ideal, SWPs as his replacement would go down well with me. citeh sold him for 21mlns because chelsea have got/used to have a lot of cash for transfers. but honestly, i think that now he's not worth these 10mlns. max 5-6 or eventually 7mlns. Yes but that's form if anything, i should of added that to the end of my comment. SWP overall is a £9m player, he's not on form as he hardly plays so is currently seen as worth less, so £6-8m is probably what his value is, but he's still a £9m player in a different team playing 1st team football. How much do you think Milner is worth? Probably about £5-6m current level or play. Future potential, English, doesn't want to leave, all that adds on top of that figure, just as age, form, current 1st team status detracts from SWP. Vs, SWPs is the better winger imho.

He's got a big neck and is 6ft3". I dunno. i don't wanna excite too early, because i done that when boumsong arrived and we all know what happend next few months Same here, I'm very suspect about him, i know nowt about him and the French league fills me with no confidence, our previous French players and most certainly French defenders (i know he's not French but that's not the point am trying to make) fills me with no confidence, his patchy NT career & the fact the PSG fans don't even know if he's better in defense or mid again raises issues. We can only hope were picking up a bargain, i've just a feeling he's not better than the average EPL player, but at £3m, that isn't really bad business especially if he's not 1st choice.

"We can confirm David Rozehnal will sign for Newcastle Utd tomorrow after agreeing personal terms with the Geordie Giants and passing a medical today in Paris. Rozehnal is a great capture for the club who are under new management and ownership but this £3m deal is soon expected to be eclipsed by the imminent arrival of Kaka from Milan as well as Ronaldinho from fallen giants Barcelona." Well my French is a bit rusty like, but that sounds canny! Are they taking the piss out of us or something? In other words this is a s*** site? Christ man, take a joke, that had nowt to do with the site. Christ man, i never even looked on the website therefore not realising it was a joke. The us signing Ronaldinho and Kaka part was the giveaway. However next time i'll make it a bit more ridiculous so not to fool people.

So because two other club with two different managers buy two different players that are totally s**** we should expect crap players for £6m as well? Surely £6m is a club record for a fullback, it should be a special purchase. I remember seeing sagna in youtube for the Best 11 players in the french league. Let's really hope arsenal doesn't come in and steal this one away too. They are self destructing themselves with henry leaving. Would love to cast an eye on him, but Arsenal being interested and at £6m tells me that he does have a talent, £6m though is a lot of money. Good RB's though are worth their weight in gold, same as LB's but there seems to be one or two English options ATM available for the LB position. Baines, Bridge or Shorey, andy of those 3 for around the £5m is a sensible move, if this lad is in the same league as those three then i can see why were after him, but even £6m is expensive since he wants to leave, plays in France and isn't English (over hyped and over priced EPL player) What is our club record for right back at the moment? If i were to choose between baines, bridge and shorey, i would baines here. But sam thinks otherwise with baines not meeting his height requirements lol. 5m for baines or shorey is definitely a good price tho. £4m Barton i think, not sure.

The guy if playing in England and was English he should command a fee of about £9m, as abroad should be cheaper. But saying that there are not many £6m rated RB's in the league nevermind £9m!!

For £6m he needs to be fuking excellent tbh. How many £6m defenders are fuking excellent tho? Plenty, you've just got to find them, i hope this is one of them, but if SA is going to commit £6m to one signing and a RB, then he has to be fuking excellent imo.

  16. Also season tickets sold at EPL prices (If they have started selling already) I think that would be there major argument against a relegation.

    Kanoute

When he left for Spain he was doing what he does now very sparingly. He's certainly become more consistent in La Liga, not sure how the form would stand up back here. Also am sure before his move he was being a bit of a dick with someone, club, player, nation, money? Can't remember, but something sticks in my mind.
  18. This is all I expect to happen. Assuming you mean deducted points. Its what would make sense, and if they were docked 10pts for next season i doubt either team would appeal it now, WHU would be just happy it wasn't last season, and Sheff Utd couldn't suggest a harsher punishment should be handed out.

    Kanoute

Always liked Kanoute, always had the ability to score a fuking excellent goal, or create something out of nothing. But at 29 we'd be paying for a player who's probably just peaked, and it would be a downwards spiral after that. Fine if were getting him on the cheap, i just cant see him leaving for his true worth.
  20. Interesting he's lifting the lid on their communication issues and how they've resolved the matter, and even giving in saying he was not in the frame of mind and partly to blame. All things everyone knew like, but good he's seen it and will probably be back to his usual standard next season.
  21. Mourinho: I could have walked By James Pearson - Created on 17 Jun 2007 http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=472300&CPID=8&clid=8&lid=2&title=Mourinho:+I+could+have+walked Jose Mourinho has revealed had he not been mentally strong last season then he could have walked away from Chelsea. The hugely successful Portuguese tactician's job was reportedly under threat last term following a much-publicised fall-out with billionaire owner Roman Abramovich. However, the pair are believed to have reconciled and the former Porto boss has lifted the lid on the exact goings on within the confines of Stamford Bridge. Mourinho concedes Chelsea works in a different way to the traditional hierarchy at most football clubs and has stated it is he who needs to adapt to the situation - not Abramovich. "We reached a ridiculous situation that there were 14 coaches linked to my job last season," Mourinho told the News of the World. "It was a crazy time and if it hadn't happened in a period when I was in a mature state of mind, I may have ended things at Chelsea. "Right now, I'm the club's coach, Peter Kenyon is the chief executive, and there is a board that Roman Abramovich does not sit on. "His position in the club is different and we have to get used to it. "We are in a situation that has me considering Chelsea's playing staff, while Peter directs from a structural and financial point of view - while also including me. "Roman Abramovich, as the club owner, has to be informed by Peter about the things that are being done and then says if he agrees or not. "Peter Kenyon then contacts the agent and tries to reach a deal. Finally, he meets with the club owner to keep him informed and if Roman says yes, the deal is done. "Communication still exists - it is just a different way of working."
  22. So it finally sorts itself out. An appeal to be heard by an arbitration panel on Monday to decide if they punishment was fitting. My personal opinion is that it wasn't, and they should of been docked points. The FA must take further action imo, but would the go as far as relegating a team out of season? Maybe a point deduction for this season, could they do that? Easiest thing is to rule that it was the correct decision but imo that is being very weak and Sheff Utd will not stop until they've been compensated (i know he says he'll leave it there, but he honestly thinks he'll be re-instated, if it goes against i can see fan pressure taking them further than this), they'll go as far as they can, its best if its sorted out now for footballs sake. Add to that WHU fans calling for NUFC to be relegated due to the Quest investigation makes me hope these fukers rot in Championship hell. http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=472296&CPID=8&clid=21&lid=2&title=McCabe+expecting+redemption McCabe expecting redemption By James Pearson - Created on 17 Jun 2007 Sheffield United plc chairman Kevin McCabe is expecting The Blades to be reinstated back into the Premier League on Monday. An arbitration panel is set to discuss whether West Ham's lofty fine was the correct decision after being found guilty of third-party ownership over the signings of Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano. The South Yorkshire side have been adamant for much of the off-season of the injustice of their relegation from England's top-flight and have fought vociferously against The Hammers' initial punishment. However, should Monday's decision go against The Blades then McCabe has conceded that the club will accept they will begin the new season in the Championship. "I expect a reversal of the decision made when the tribunal opined in April," he told Sky Sports News. "I'd like to believe Sheffield United will be reinstated into the Premier League. "The first decision was wrong. It should have been a points deduction and not a monetary fine, and if that is the case then reinstatement for a club that's not broken the rules should take place. "If the arbitration were to go against us, and we firmly believe it won't, then we have to accept that next season sees us in the Championship. "The fixtures are nothing to do with Sheffield United. The Premier League issued the fixture list. That was their prerogative whether to issue them before or after the arbitration."
