It would probably be better for us if he had a spell in prison while he's out injured. At least we wouldn't be paying his wages, well we shouldn't do. If we stop paying his wages his contract becomes void. But isn't that you cannot earn money while in prison, so if he did go we wouldn't have to pay him by law.
-
The prisons are too full ATM, he'll never go inside for that. I know someone who got glassed in the face and the person who did it only got community service as they were told the prisons are too full. Nows the best time for petty crime.

Corluka to Citeh.

Wouldn't be at all disappointed if this hit a snag or WHU came in for him and he chose them.

SA's arrival is just if not more important than the new board. I'd rather get rid of them than him right now! We've got an up and coming manager who'll drag this club into the 21st Century kicking and screaming if necessary and he's doing that already. I hope he goes beyond his contract here, i believe he's the man for us and the foreseeable future. We need stability, we need continuity, for the 1st time in ages we have someone who's here to stay, has a plan, and has a fresh ideas, even under SBR we were all waiting for him to leave due to his age, SA is perfect age as well, with lots to give in the future.

Maybe its good to have an owner who uses his head only and stays out of the way. I just think owning a football club, especially one so big would be a fantastic ride and could possibly do him some favours and bring him out of his shell. Lets hope he at least attends some matches, good start.

Why? Because its good to talk. Puts the dirty London media in its place as well. No it wouldn't, it'd just set it off even more. No it wouldn't. So you honestly think Ashley talking in public would shut the media up saying "okay we were wrong"? They'd just use Ashley's words as fuel to write more crap. When have the media ever admitted they are wrong? mackems.gif It stops them writing anything else in the future about him wanting to sell up, ATM they can write daft stories like that and there is nothing to quash it. It's better that it stays that way, if you keep responding to the media, they'll only write more and more crap about you. Don't feed them any information and they'll write tabloid stories which hold no credibility, once you start responding to them they'll make up new conspiracies (using what you said) which actually resemble credibility. I know what you mean, but if its to the fans it bypasses them and now there is no reason for anyone to believe anything they say. I hope Mort isn't going to do all his speaking for him, it would be shame for him to take such a back seat.

We don't really need to hear from Ashley as Mort knows more about the club than him, it would be good to see Ashley at the match though as that would be a sign that he's interested in the same things as we are and not just the money. His attendance or non-attendance will send a message, if he doesn't go then it's an investment, if he does go then it could be out of interest in the footballing side. I'd like to think its more than just an investment to him, if its not then he's made the wrong decision in buying the club.

As it currently stands most teams in the EPL will beat us away as we have no defense. Bowyer is a nothing player, and i can't see Parker doing much damage to us so it just leaves Bellamy & Dyer with their pace that is the problem, against our defense they'll pass it into the back of the net. But i reckon one or the other will be injured, Barton needs to do a number on the pair of them, become a legend.
-
So what have we got on the horizon? Drago the defender & Alan Smith? I really wish the Dyer money went on a proper midfielder but by all accounts it looks like were going to play 4-3-3, i suppose Smith might be good as part of the 3 up front.

Well done for the board getting a decent price for him, well i guess its decent or SA said he wasn't going. Thank fuk that chapter of NUFC is over. Over rated player, well over paid, injured far too much, petulant, arrogant & scared of eggs! Goodbye you waste of space.

Much better. Some words from Ashley would be nice as well though.

This is a legitimate business not laundering Russian money through 'donations'. SJHL has to pay off the debt, if Ashley invests £80m to pay the debt off thats twice the fabled £40m that got knickers wet weeks ago. If he was to clear the debt and invest £10m, that would enormous. Haven't got a clue what you are talking about there, sorry. From what i've heard its £40m actual loaned debt, and £40m stadium debt. Both hold the club back from being self sufficient, and with the extra £40m per season in TV revenue now is a perfect time to get rid of both, or at least one. Spending £10-20m right now will only give the club the great foundation it needs for next season were we can bring in top players, ATM we just need players. No point going into this very important season without some decent spending imo, you'll just have to pay double to catch up next.
-
Can't see why we cant clear the debt now and spend a little to improve the defense, then make the club self sufficient from there. At some stage he will have to wipe the debt if he wants the club to run itself. At some stage he needs to spend some money to improve the squad so we can compete in the EPL at the level we should be.

What's up? It's a new thread, I'd have thought you'd have been delighted. I am! I meant I would be happy if our new academy prospect turned out to be Jesus
-
Next question for those who watch, do we have any natural Left backs on the books, or are they all converted as usual?
-
I'm torn between that and a proper DMC. Just think a tough tackling Geordie in the centre would be a great player to support. Also we've produced some talent at the back, decent level anyway, and upfront were getting a few strikers, we seem to miss out on the midfield, nothing ever comes through of decent quality.
-
Next Academy Player? What kind would you like? Say the next player to come through is the standard of Taylor where would you like this talent to emerge?
-
Diddums. Perhaps you've forgotten that they're soon having meetings with people from various fan groups. Is that true? Good step if so. Are we (N-O) invited? Yes, it's true, and several people from here have been invited. Sounds canny, when is this happening and who's going?

Its a occupational hazard. Being a footballer means much more than kicking a ball about, something Dyer in ten years here hasn't learned, well maybe he did, just took him years to figure it out. I'm sure for the millions he's earned for nothing i'd take a few eggs But it wouldn't happen to me, as fans would never have a problem with me, i'd respect the club paying my £80kpw far too much to fuk them about. End of the day, his past has caught up with him SLIGHTLY, and if that's all that ever happens to him he's got off lightly. I'm not condoning any of it, but can understand why someone would want to abuse him before he left. I have to agree, while not condoning what happened and agreeing with Mort in a way that this is not the right type of image we want when trying to lure players here, we also have to take a step back and be a bit sensible about this. Ok his house got pelted with some eggs - it shouldn't have happened, but no one was killed, maimed, decapitated, caught the plague ect. Some people have very short memories when it comes to Dyer, not so long ago he was dragging our clubs name through the dirt with his handbags crap with Bowyer. Everyone wanted to lynch Bowyer, but Dyer seems to have been conveniently forgiven. What about his part in Bobby Robsons departure, yes the details are open to debate but he definitely didn't help matters. Plus there's all his off field shanahans, like getting his cock out, burning money in front of fans' faces, home movie debut ect. Like it has been said before, if this is SO distressing for poor old Dyer, why hasn't he handed in a TRANSFER REQUEST? Why? because it's got fuk all to do about his family, it's all about him and his agent getting one last big payday. To think of all the money that the club's spent on sending him all around the world getting the best doctors to try and sort out his career (not to mention his 60k-80k a WEEK wages). Think of all the games (about 90%) he's played when he looks like he doesn't give a shit (apart form sunday when he was in the shop window, funny that isn't it?), and what does he do when it at last looks like he might be clear of his injuries? He want's out. And to think of all the people who were calling for Owen to be sold and criticising him for the amount of games he's played for us. At least when he's played he's done the business for us. Ramage get's slated everytime he plays, fair enough he's not good enough but at least he's honest and tries. Dyer HAS the talent, but just uses it when he feels like it and that is worse than any of the others. I do think that out squad is dangerously thin and I thought that we should keep dyer to make up the numbers, but the more I think about it I would rather have Harper playing than him (ok, slight eggageration). Seriously though this parasite has bled us dry for 8 years and I think now, enough is enough. Bye, bye. Good post, but obviously you are a mong as you don't think this incident should go to the Crown court and the perpetrators hung by the neck until death. (about the same level of over reaction as some on here over the incident)
-
I can't. I think you have to be of a certain mentality to want to actually physically attack someone's property because you're a bit annoyed with them. Especially when they've done nothing to you personally. I agree with Gemmil there are some stupid mongs on here. The egg on the door thing has happened to me, I just wished they knocked on my door and asked for a fight instead, it was the cowardice that pissed me off. The car thing and the mindless booing and the pretending he was ill on purpose to suit peoples hate/jealousy agenda has pissed me off. Like he really wanted to ruin his England career and a chance of a move to a big club just to get paid for sitting on his arse. er ok . The family reasons, now theres a fucking joke people saying he is making it up for a few ££ when the truth is he couldn`t give a fuck about money clearly by burning £50 notes on several occassions. You have to be ONE THICK TWAT to say he is making it up when in the papers on more than one occassion it reports that his sister is taking and dealing herion for fuck sake. So what he is a complete dickhead but some of the shite people are typing. So are you saying they should of knocked and done him over instead? Why hasn't he handed in a transfer request then? He is a dickhead, and there is no sympathy from this end for him.
