  1. Sam isn't coming here, he just doesn't like this football club at all. The Man City thing could be possible but i think its too early in the takeover bid for Sam just to walk out of Bolton for a rumour! I heard he wanted a year off from football all together, maybe he's in need of a re-charge, cant blame him, the most stressful job in the world is a bit dodgy on the old ticker. My personal opinion is that he's be good here, and he'd cement us in 5th place, were we belong until he left, and that would be with very little money, with the right cash he'd have us challenging for CL every season as the only thing he team is missing is goals, and until this season he'd never been able to buy a goalscorer, he's got already here, GR verus Sam? Its crazy anyone is even arguing the point imo, no contest, Bolton have achieved so much with so little.
  2. Who else was praying Hull won? mackems.gif
  3. its because...WE HATE COCKNEYS You quoted youeself you brainless t***. Get the c*** banned. me banned? No he called you a brainless t***, I've seen people banned for less, and he's one I'd be delighted to be shot of on here. i got a permanent ban for less than that Wasn't very permanent
  4. man utd have ferdinand and vidic. chelsea have terry and carvalhio, arsenal have toure and gallas. we have taylor and bramble Chelsea have also has Essien at CB for numerous games and will no doubt be going for one in the summer. The clubs you mentioned already have quality centre backs but still see him as a risk, we have nowhere near their quality so can't afford the risk. I dont agree with you because i believe woodgates too good a player to have as a sub and i cant see mourinho playin him before carvalhio or terry Woodgate, Terry, Cole, 'need a decent right back', Cech would probably conceed < 10 goals over a season Carvalhio is a better defender then Woodgate so i fail to see how the addition of Woodgate to the Chelsea squad will drastically improve them. If anything, woodgate is similiar to Terry in terms of style of play. A relativly fast striker will out pace the pair like theres no tomorrow. Carvalho is crap compared to Woodgate, and certainly isn't any faster, but then again you talking about defensive pace while you w*** over Dawson is beyond laughable. Dear God another slow one here. What im trying to say is that playing two similiar centre backs rarely works. Woodgate and Terry simply wouldnt work where as woodgate and Carvalhio is a much better option. Carvalhio crap compared to Woodgate?? keep dreaming loser. mackems.gif Oh no am gutted, kingarsebandit has called me a loser, i think am going to cry! PS: Its Carvalho you dumb fuking inbred, there is no 'I' in it shit for brains.

  6. -------------Harper----------- -----Taylor--Gooch---Bramble ------------Parker---------------- -----Dyer------------Zoggy---------- Owen---Ameobi--Carroll--Martins Just for the laughs.
  7. VERY optimistic view, but yes, if you look at some of the players backing up Liverpool for example, your right to consider them fringe players. But as it stands, Ameobi, Edgar, Solano couldn't possibly be classed as good enough to get into the top 4 squads.
  8. Am I the only person to spot the irony in someone called 'kingdawson' claiming Woodgate is overrated. Dawson, the only man Shearer outpaced in his last two seasons at the club. haha its funny because its true. his name should be donkeydawson Is it not Ledley King Michael Dawson If not it should be 'shitandslowasfukDawson'
  9. If I had picked 6 correct lotto numbers this week I would be a millionaire. ok so even though woodgate has been fit for the majority of this season you still would have him? one of the best defenders in the world for 7-8mil= bargain One summer n all that. End of the day, this has been his most injury free season since he became a professional footballer, it could be a one off, it could be a sign of things to come, but ATM, we can't afford to take on another crock, were crippled with the ones we've got already.
  10. Given, Owen, Martins - as they stand. Duff, Parker, Emre - under a good manager and return to form. Taylor, Milner, Zoggy - for the future for sure, but could play their part now. Butt would be good back-up in them teams apart from Chelsea.
  11. Glad were not going back, he's stayed injury free at Boro, but if he signed for us next season he'd break his legs in several places within his first training session. Would like to wish him luck, but he's signed for utter shite, and like someone said he should of waited to see what was happening at Madrid next season, but Woodgate has always been a bit thick, if not one of the most stupid fuks playing football today.
  12. They argued about who fuked up the Toon more, its was very neck and neck but Souness won with taking his pay off whereas Gullit the part timer quit.
  13. Wondered myself, wasn't disrespectful or owt but maybe the occasion called for noise rather than a subdued start to the game.
  14. Just shit stirring and playing games, fun for the neutral, cant understand why so many people hate this guy compared to the boring cunt we have to put up every single fuking week. More characters in football are needed, even if he is a smary cunt who has it plush. blueyes.gif
  15. 2-1 Chelsea making for a great 2nd leg
  16. Another club with ambition, moving forward and building for the future. Glad its only 36,000 tbh. Might look a bit strange, but i reckon it will look a lot nicer than the IKEA grounds like SOL, Riverside & St Mary's etc..
  17. I agree with the first part, not the second. When he came back from injury, he turned our season round. Without him, we'd be in the position that West Ham are in now. His form took a dip after the Alkmaar game. Since then, he's looked out of sorts and it wouldn't surprise me if he's fallen out with Roeder (and he may not be the only one). Roeder played him out of position in Alkmaar, and the whole game was a tactical mess. Bramble then ended up being publicly made the scapegoat, which was all wrong. Perhaps Dyer is a bit quick to get shirty, but I think Roeder handled the Alkmaar defeat very badly and a number of the players are probably pi$$ed off. I think Dyer's head dipped well before the AZ game, was around the start of Feb for me, he just started to go through the motions, i put it down to not knowing what its like to play more than 3 games in a row.
  18. Agreed. GR needs sacking and replacing with someone who is not only a good coach and man manager, but someone with a personality to boot. Emre & Dyer need to go, ones a cunt, the other has a poor injury record and produces fuk all, i'll let you decide which is which. Owen for me is a noose hanging round this clubs neck, i hope Manu & Liverpool start a bidding war for him, even with that i'd be happy with £12m and spend it on someone with height to bring our wingers in to play and have something to aim for.
  19. Hope its true, and i hope Duff & Emre follow him out of the doors as well, if we could get rid of Owen & Parker at the same time, we'll stop losing £12m a year, in fact we might even make money for a change. If reports are to be believed that little lot earn above £1m a month between them, and for what return? Sweet FA. It would be great to see the club get rid of all the super earners along with the dross and start again, but that's a huge job and would take some balls by the chairman and manager to do in one summer. Anyway, back on Dyer, fuking good riddance you one game a season wonder.

    Player of the Season

Milner. Wasn't he Villa's player of the season last year as well?
  21. Reminds me more of Waddle than Beardsley, tbh. Through his youth days he apparently played as a second striker rather than right or left wide. He's starting to influence games a lot more, i think if he keeps progressing at this rate he'll have all the right abilities to play through the centre, and whoever is his manager will have faith in playing him in that role, which is really why he's become a winger, lack of faith for him in that position, which is fair enough, he was like a headless chicken when he arrived.
  22. Owen? What about him? Replaceable & very costly, in hindsight a big mistake, a one i hope is rectified this summer with either Manu or Liverpool taking him off our hands, nothing would please me more to see us get our money back, we might just if them two clubs go at it for him, if not near enough £12m+ All I was asking. ^ Personally, I'd like to see him give us at least one season, but I wouldn't be terribly gutted if he left. Bit pissed, but I'd get over it. no matter who leaves you get over it. i wonder if toons taylor was saying buying shearer was a mistake when he got injured in that friendly at everton, after all he produced little that season and for £15mill then. as for milner whern he was on the verge of leaving last year,i'd rather have kept him but if he leaves for the benefit of the club,so be it....now that benefit would have to be substantial. Shearer had already scored 25 goals the season before, the injury was unlike him, these injuries are very like Owen, can't see how anyone cannot see this by looking back on both careers up till those two points. Owen is a crock, and crocks tend to get more fuked while at the toon, why, who knows it just happens. I'd rather have a player 60% of Owen's ability available 90% of the season. broken bone in his foot and cruciate ligament are "like him"...hamstrings,groins fair enough but not whats kept him out the last year or so But very injury prone nevertheless, not a player to rely on, not a player to build your team around, and for the amount we've spent on him, its what we needed for a club this size, just like we did with Shearer. But it doesn't show you how many sub appearances, and from having a Liverpool fan as a best mate my memories of Owen were him getting injured, missing x amount of games, coming back, taking 3 games to get going, go on a scoring run, scoring double and sometimes hattricks, then boom, injured again, repeat for several seasons until his move to Madrid. I don't know how well my memory matches up statically, but it was something that really pissed him off, and something we'd rip him about along with never scoring 20 league goals in a season, and the main reason, he was alway injured or coming back from injury, and that's why he's never hit that mark. If he didnt get injured in the 05/06 season he would have scored more then 20 goals imo In 11 games he scored 7 goals that season before he got injured against Tottenham Which is really the point i'm making is it not?

Care to name a finisher of his calibre (there are few on the planet) who would be willing to come to a mid-table club? Owen is about as one dimensional as they come, very good at what he does, but not an all rounder by any means. Finishing isn't the be all and end all of a footballer or even a striker, if so we should snap up Fowler at the end of the season on a free who is by far a more complete finisher than Owen, would that do you, and while were at it we'll buy a CB who can only tackle, but is shit at everything else, oh we've got one, Bramble. That's such a ridiculous analogy i can't be bothered to write a sensible reply. Canny cop out
