...Is when the little X got clicked on my browser He's a good guy, I have a lot of time for him. It's easy to see what his thinking is. Bruce won't be kept on so will either retire or end up somewhere in the Championship and Bent working for Bruce previously is hoping he can curry favour for a possible coaching role. He's not daft, he's not going to burn that bridge. It's why all English managers and ex players look after each other.

They own the plot at the bottom of Pilgrim St where the old Bank of England building was and much of the derelict land around it. Not sure if they own all the way up to the container park. The own The Stack. It is temporary until they finalise plans for the site. The Reubens own a very large area of the City Centre. That area is known as the "East Pilgrim Street (EPS) Development Area" and covers all of the City Centre from Carliol House down to 55 Degrees North, and from Pilgrim Street eastwards to the Central Motorway East (CME). This is the area shown here, within the red line . . . Nice. It could do with being regenerated. Everything east of Monument is a bit meh imo Could you fit a football stadium in there?

Soooo....the bin Salman fella. Any good?

Thank god there isn't a deluded world of N-O account.

Vent away. I'm totally with you as well. Swear to God I think a large portion of the Toon Army has a chronic case of 'battered wife' syndrome. Just because a richer potential husband comes along promising the world, it doesn't mean you have to jump straight into bed with him, only to find he has a penchant for sticking a scimitar up your arse as he ejaculates in your face. Think I'll keep on quietly wishing for NUFC to somehow end up as a fan-owned co-operative with a bit of self-respect, pride and beautiful, flowing football without relying upon the dirty money of a murderous, evil Sheikh. Ashley's a vile specimen for sure, but this deal looks to me to be frying pan to fire. As a former denizen of this forum used to recite incessantly, "Be careful what you wish for"... Surely the main difference as that we expect the new owners to be much better for the club itself? Yes but it's still a Faustian deal, better football, a richer club, better players and hopefully some success on the pitch - just with a little more torture, murder and evil thrown into the mix. Why should it be a football club that has to take this stand? Put it another way, then: say it was Jimmy Savile, Rolf Harris and Gary Glitter all clubbing together to buy the club and they wanted to play a role in the youth team coaching? Would you turn a blind eye to their previous 'indiscretions'? Both the Government (via law) and the FA (through test) would have blocked them so it couldn't happen. That kind of moral issue is dealt with at the right levels before coming tot he fans for their opinion.

Lallana, Mertens & Cavani, all on free, all players who would catapult us forward. I'd also take Fraser from Bournemouth. Now wages aren't a problem and neither is age, we could plug gaps easily enough for little outlay.

Yup. Got to stay out of defending them but you can see outside sources are trying to get the fans to do just that by attacking them and the club, blurring them all on purpose. That's going to be hard. Twitterverse has failed miserably, as expected. Yeah, I don't go on Twitter but I know what you mean. Really this takeover plays into the worst aspects of social media and football fans combined... also it's happening in a news vacuum so there's literally nothing else for anyone to write about. I don't get any kind of responsibility being put on the fans though, that seems a bit much to me. I do think it would be interesting to see the reaction if we were going from, say, John Hall to Saudi Arabia. Coming off the back of 13 years of Ashley just means I don't have any stomach for more fighting, even if I thought it would achieve anything. Perfect storm, as usual, but the twitter reaction has been embarrassing. Vile comments aimed personally at people just doing their jobs (Keys excluded, deserves everything he gets) whether we agree or not, its got to be handled better than that. Interesting point. I think we'd have more fight about us back then, but i also think you'd not have the media directly interacting with the fans on social platforms therefore i don't think it would have been a big deal as it is now.

Yeah. Plus Joelinton. Think he'll play his part off the bench and start finding his feet. Also, no one else will take him now so might as well try our best to develop him.

Totally understand your PoV and feelings on the matter. Ashley has managed to divide us again as one last kick in the balls before he leaves. Here's a multi-billionaire....and all the baggage of a murderous regime to go with. He's a fucker, like and none of this heat has been aimed at him. Innocent party in all this. I think there will be few that follow suit. I don't blame them. Tbh, I admire them for making a stand in what they believe in, especially if the refuse to have anything to do with the club. For me though i'm leaning to going on the ride. I think the way the media have lain this at the feet of NUFC fans is deplorable and they should be making a stand against the government & FA before coming anywhere near us. But they didn't, they decided to target the fans as its easier, it gets bites and clicks and stirs emotions. They are now interviewing the widow of the journo murdered about our club, really? It's disgusting. It really is their behaviour which has tipped the balance for me. If they want to demonise the club and its fans who have no control over any of this before anything has been signed then bring it on. I'll enjoy the glory that this money will bring and will support the team and manager in front of me, anything else in the background isn't my concern as a football fan.

Jason burt stuff is all just opinion based on rumours.
-
Yup. Same here. I was feeling a lot of negative emotions but the outside sources have done a great job on me that I’m now hoping it goes through just to piss the world off. Fuck. Them. All.
-
If pif do get blocked do you think rb & pcp would still go for it, though on a smaller scale? I’d be delighted with that if so.
-
You are going to have every man in Saudi watching us every game. How do I know? It’ll be law. 30m new subscribers heading the premier leagues way.
-
He’s from Shire originally. Ah didn’t know that. Always thought it was hobbits from the shire, not orcs.
-
The Telegraph is the source. Yeah I used to think they were a joke and claiming to be ITKs, but all they do now though is put all the info off the press and other stuff in one place, which is quite useful when you want to look at what's being reported. Quickest off the mark for all NUFC news these days. Have a team of admins on the account, subs to all media outlets and follow all sources NUFC. Don’t seem to be twats either, which helps.
-
Was out cycling before, sure I went past lee Ryder (backtrack between silverlink and shire). If it wasn’t him, there’s some poor bloke that looks like him and probably even less going for him than the real thing.

It’s all over Facebook and Twitter, from other fans too. Did it really start on here? We did it last takeover, then the mackems started using it with their failed dell takeover. Not sure where it started though, but do know if there is shit craic to be lifted from another team, the mackems are always 1st in the queue. Saying that. My cans are firmly in the fridge
-
What’s this about?
-
Bloke cannot help himself Nearly in tears like we’ve shot his dog.
-
So is that essentially, "Thanks for your concern, but jog on"? Not sure why they even felt a reply to be necessary By a company based in Saudi Arabia is telling.

Scunny fans glad he’s gone. One of methvans mates Was on the board of the efl panel which ratified the Donald buyout of the club. Relegated and failed at every club he’s been at Named J Rodwell First comment is someone wants to buy the club but vaulted at the asking price. They are taking this very well.
