  1. Here is an idea. Clubs sell the TV rights, for home games getting a great deal and removing the control and money from the Premier League. The away team then receives 50% of the TV money. Theoretically more money for everyone that way, plus is fair and proper.
  2. I think the OP is heavily biased towards players that have stayed and biased against playeds who have left. Some examples: Demba Ba (Green) - Oba Martins (Yellow) -> If this was Martins first season he'd be green. he got found out eventually, but you can't say the same will happen to Ba. Edmundsson (Yellow) - Tozer (Red) -> I would say these two are both unproven. Not many of our development squad are going to make it, so over time, more of these will become red reducing the percentage if you use these players. Diatta (Red) - Kuqi (Yellow) -> Both players signed under similar circumstances and ended up not contributing. I can't see why Diatta is red and Kuqi isn't when they effective cost and contributed a similar amount.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I think we need to take our time with him and not get pissed off with Pardew or any player that is starting instead. It was obvious that he was going to come back from a very bad injury and not play in every match straight away. We need to do what is best for the team, and that is bedding him back in slowly and waiting for him to be ready. That is the best interests for everyone. Time to ignore the Ben Arfa fans as they are not interested in what is best for the club, their true interest is only in seeing Hatem playing for us much like those Kluivert fans. Not long before they start randomly attacking players that are playing instead, mimifrench was questioning the point of Jonas the other day.
  4. Quotes from Senegal manager saying he had a knee problem at start of season caused by a synthetic pitch. Didn't play for Senegal due to a hard pitch. Therefore we may miss him for a few games if winter is hard.
  5. Hart has to be a keeper as there is no good under 23 right now.
  6. this is a fiasco and it is all down to Spurs and their greed and the fact that they think they can do whatever they want. Well I tell you that this is Great Britain and you don't mess with Great Britain so Spurs can fuck off back to their poxy shithole stadium and watch how nice sensible Arsenal continue to increase their bank balance.
  7. It is now this season that player form will dictate who goes to the London 2012 Olympics as part of Team GB? Who goes? Which teams won't be happy? Can Shane Ferguson still switch to Ireland if he plays for Team GB? Who should the manager be? N.B. Rio Ferdinand is banned as things stand. For me: Joe Hart* Ben Amos ? Chris Smalling Kyle Walker Phil Jones Kieran Gibbs Neil Taylor Martin Kelly Danny Wilson Darren Fletcher* Jack Rodwell Jordan Henderson Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Tom Cleverley Shane Ferguson Barry Bannan Gareth Bale Wellbeck Carroll Bellamy* Walcott Hart Walker Smalling Jones Gibbs Walcott Cleverley Fletcher Bale Carroll Wellbeck Manager: Alan Pardew Fergie to be the most pissed off.
  8. South Africa have failed to qualify from their group because they thought they were through on goal difference. Despite playing for a draw then celebrating qualification, they then discovered they were out due to head to head results. They are now appealing to CAF even though the rules were plain for all to see.
  9. Hoilett would be an outstanding buy in my opinion.

Shola looks like he is reacting to his own Wikipedia page.
  11. Probably because of the averageness of all other keepers Hart excepted.
  12. Didn't a lot of those players come through the youth system together?
  13. Every international tournament with Lampard Gerrard and Terry playing will be slightly worse than the previous one.
  14. They play for Mn Utd though. I can see the benefit of having 6 or 7 of the 11 play for Man Utd because they are already playing together and performing well and therefore they won't need to gel or work on team spirit as you already have it. That isn't something that teams other than Spain would have. You mean the Spanish team that won the world cup with seven Barcelona players in the starting eleven? Quality and coherence are equally if not more important than spirit. Team spirit pushes you to the latter stages of tournaments, quality wins you them. True, but the current cancerous England team won't get past the group stages.
  15. The way you lot are going on it is like no full back with past career experience of playing on the wing has ever been put on the wing to man mark a dangerous player.

  17. From his own mouth he can play on the wing. Albeit this is a defensive tactic serving a certain purpose. It's a stupid "tactic." He's not a centre midfielder or a winger, he's a full back, which is where he should/would play. He is not a full back, he is a versatile wide player. It would be foolish to nail him down to a certain position at this stage of his career in my opinion.
  18. Eventually yes, but why not do something for one match? For what it is worth I can see Santon becoming a central midfielder over the next five years.
  19. Eh? Santon in midfield? Santon is a right-footed wide player who hasn't nailed down a position yet who has a reputed knack for man marking. The objective here is to stick him on Bale. Just don't see the sense in playing a 20 year old on his debut in a new league out of position. Instead of worrying about Bale we should give them something to worry about. Play Santon left back where he is meant to play, Jonas maybe on the Right to help tracking back with Marveaux on the left. With Bale out of the picture, we can rampage them with Obertan and Ben Arfa.

  22. GK Hart Foster Green RB Smalling Richards LB Cole Baines CB Ferdinand Jones King RW Oxlade-Camberlain Lennon LW Young Johnson CM Wilshere Cleverley Milner Barry CF Rooney Wellbeck Sturridge Bent Carroll Team: Hart Smalling Ferdinand Jones Cole Cleverley Wilshere Oxlade Rooney Young Wellbeck So basically cut out the cancers of the England team where possible, and build a young side around Man Utd players.
  23. If Cabaye is injured: Krul Simpson Taylor Coloccini Taylor Santon Tiote Jonas Obertan Ba Ben Arfa If Cabaye fit: Krul Simpson Taylor Coloccini Taylor Santon Cabaye Tiote Jonas Best Ba
