He got the subs spot on today. He had to leave Marveaux as late as possible as Taylor's nose was still dripping and in the end, bringing him on even at 75 mins was a risk as Taylor could have been forced to come off.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

He needs to release the ball earlier still, but looked much sharper today.
  3. It would be mindfuck if Pardew brought on Ben Arfa, Marveaux and Santon on at half time and we then lost 5-0.
  4. Only Jonas has played well. There seem to be more Wigan players than Newcastle players everywhere.
  5. It's getting really irritating with their 'Ben Arfa is too good for your club' mentality. Support the team or f*** off. Exactly, i love the guy but honestly i'm starting to do so less because of them, they can f*** off honestly. I mean I do agree he should be playing but the over the top hysteria and then lashing out at our club because the only reason they're even here isn't playing has to stop. It is like 5 rabid mini-GHoeberXs.
  6. I suspect they are starting in the Carling Cup. Pardew brought them along today to keep them sweet.
  7. I hate the Ben Arfa fanboys. They care more about Ben Arfa than the results of NUFC. If we were 20th but Ben Arfa played every match and did a couple of tricks for the French highlights they would be loving it.

I am going to try the #sacknileranger #nufc hashtags. People want to see if it takes off?
  10. I would bring Bannan, Fletcher, Bellamy, Neil Taylor and a few others myself.

    Alan Pardew

It would explain why Simpson was taking so long getting back.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Can't remember if it was before or after Shola scored, but there was some good wing play by Shola which led to someone putting a ball in the box which beat the Spurs defence and Friedel, but Ben Arfa was too far under the ball. I would have fancied Ba Best or Shola for that and it shows the one folly of having Ben Arfa in the hole.
  13. Kaboul has been their man of the half, he has saved the ball from landing on Ba's head so many times.
  14. Cabaye went missing apart from a couple of peaches, then cost us in my opinion. He is a great player but we need to accept that because of the new club and league he isn't always going to be in tip form and condition.

    Alan Pardew

Not really, very logical and understandable responses at the time. It is complete emotion, something I was guilty of too. No logic whatsoever, except maybe Yorkie-Geordie.

Nah, this isn't Hughton's team anymore, this is Pardew's team.
  18. I disagree. He has been very consistent this season. He doesn't go missing, people have to realize that just because he hasn't got a shot on goal or so he hasn't gone missing. His running and marking along with Tiote has helped us recover so much possession and his simple and accurate passing game has helped our team develop a bit of confidence. He is so confident on the ball and always makes the simplest of it all mixed with brilliance at time that it helps our team. It's so nice to finally have some ball passing instead of running and attacking from the wide or just lumping it to a striker. He's a class player and has been very impressive this season. The second half against Wolves is a really good example of him going missing. When he has a foothold on the game he is great, but for many reasons which are down to him settling in to the new league and club he has lost grip of the midfield battle at moments in games. Even though he contributes more than Nolan when he goes missing, he needs to be at the level he was at against Blackburn and Villa and not like the 6 out of 10 level he was at against wolves and qpr if we want a result on Sunday.
  19. Cabaye is the key. He has obvious quality but sometimes he has lacked the consistency, gone missing for a half, or simply been worn out by his own efforts. This is where he hasn't yet adapted to this league. He is going to need to be bang on the money, as this will mean that Spurs have to play well to beat us. In that situation, it might take a moment of brilliance to get a goal, and Cabaye could offer us something in that department too.
  20. Quotes from Pardew saying that there is going to be a lot of pace on one side of the pitch with Obertan and Bale there.
  21. He doesn't like playing at Newcastle though KD, we really got to him mentally, to the extent that when Sam Allardyce became manager, he went to him with a load of bizarre complaints about stuff like we were playing the "Alan Shearer Anthem" before every match.
  22. Nope, that's more in line with what Liverpool want. That would give the top clubs 38 games of big money, while someone like Wigan would only get big money when they played one of the top clubs. Their matches against Wolves, Swansea, etc. would garner a far lower rights fee. The league is worth more as a whole. While the Manchesters, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool may be the big draws, the league doesn't function without the other 15 clubs. Everyone understands this except those scummy bastards. I wish Hicks & Gillette had hung on for another year and really run that club into the ground. My bad on this one. Of course clubs will only get a game involving Man Utd twice, while Man Utd will get games involving Man Utd 38 times.
  23. Not biased, but the players who are still at the club can't be fully judged as they still have a the possibility to increase their standing (or reduce it!). You can only fully judge a transfer once the player has moved on (or at least, with the rate of player turnover we have, you can!) - in the example above, Edmundsson has come to the club, broken into our reserve team and his national side. He might have peaked, he might become a first team player. We don't know. Tozer left the club after failing to break through. We can categorically state that. Still biaised as even if you have these objective rules (although am not sure where Kuqi fits), the rules are still heavily biaised towards those who have been at the club more recently.
