What is the best penalty you've ever seen then? For me, Shola Ameobi for Newcastle vs Sunderland, 31st October 2010.
-
Once Tiote worked out how high tempo the game is we've been incredible.
-
Give him a 100 year contract!
-
I think it is a cultural thing as Krul distributes the ball very well.
-
He was good for most the game. BUT For the goal, before Cole had the ball it was obvious where it was going to go. A world class keeper would have thrown himself across the goal before the ball even reached Cole's feet, taken the gamble that Cole would have hit it first time right in front of him which he did. There would have been no guarantee of saving it, but the probability would have been a lot higher. However Harper wouldn't have done that either.
-
That would have been the best goal in history.
-
Probably told to play like that in fairness. No point winning the ball back if he'll just keep losing it.
-
Tiote has been fantastic again today.

Great Cruyff turn by Tiote
-
He's fine man. The only criticism I have of him as that he can sometimes venture into central midfield which could hurt us on the counter.
-
I thought Krul could have at least tried diving before Cole even attempted the shot. You knew where the ball was going to go!
-
Shola is actually much better at leading the line than Carroll.
-
Could be much much much worse.
-
Williamson wasn't surplus to requirements for Avram Grant, he wasn't allowed to play!
-
Why hasn't Carroll been given assist points on the FF?
-
How many more until Messi drinks his piss?
-
1 more than Routledge tbh!
-
Why did Krul not even dive? I'd have just tried to second guess where the ball was going to go and thrown myself there. No point waiting for Cole to make contact then just start waving hand up for offside!
-
Yep. Wonder what Hughton suddenly has against Routledge. I know he didn't look up to it recently, but he's still our best option on the right. Routledge has done nothing to be proud of this season. If we were to play two wingers, I'd consider giving Ferguson or Vuckic a go.
-
If we are going 4312 then Tiote can push further up than that and Jonas can roam on both wings.

From what I remember, Dyer's scoring record wasn't particularly bad in his last couple of years here compared to under Robson. May be wrong though but just seem to remember more goals from him later on. Just checked - 04-05 = 6 goals in 34 games 05-06 = 0 goals in 11 games 06-07 = 7 goals in 30 games He was given a more advanced role under Souness and Roeder however, often played up front.

I'd say Ben Arfa is a skilful Dyer. Now that is a complement from me as I was a big fan of Dyer at NUFC. However Dyer was much more effective surrounded by Shearer, Robert, young Solano, Bellamy, Speed, than he was surrounded by Ameobi, Martins, Sibierski, old Solano, Butt, and I fear it was a similar story for Ben Arfa vs Stoke.
