Well I'm back up to 5th. Why not get the best teams in Europe, and count the number of players from each country that play for them, the compare to England. The some of them play for the best teams in Europe argument is complete bollocks as these teams have several foreign players who are better than the English ones.

The players aren't good enough, and even those more successful ones are in teams with even better foreign players. In fact, if I was manager, I'd tell Lampard, Terry and Gerrard that they aren't getting back into the England team until they prove that they can perform for another club.

Why would having in in the Premier League have any impact on League 2, as they dont play each other?

At a guess they would ensure England can't compete in any FIFA/UEFA competition and ban all English clubs from all FIFA/UEFA competitions which would ruin English football. I honestly don't think they could get that past CAS

Although this is now secondary to the abysmal England performance, with regards to the goal that wasn't we can't lay the blame solely on Blatter and FIFA for not introducing goal line technology. After all, none of the major leagues do it, so why should FIFA be the one to try at at their spectacle event? Up to the Premier League to meet up by the end of the week and introduce goal line technology with immediate effect so we can demonstrate its effectiveness to the rest of the world.

Thing is we don't know if there are any 24 year olds who could be a lot better by the time they are 28. Too many players get written off too early these days.
