Well, this sounds much better than expected. Must question the attitude of the players that they play much much worse against Stoke and Hull.

NUSC write up of Llambias attendance at the Supporters Panel meeting
James replied to Happy Face's topic in Football
iirc, it was the same guy that accused Mike Ashley of undermining the Sir Bobby fundraiser. -
May have been mentioned, but it 13 years to the day since Cantona.
-
It was a lower level reserve game though, so we probably just rotated it all a little.
-
What are the odds of Smith scoring the winning goal for them?
-
To not lose, we are going to need to field the following team: Soderberg Harper Krul Barron Forster Raylor Kinnear Hughton Saylor Coloccini Calderwood Cacapa Edgar Bassong Enrique LuaLua Godsmark Geremi Inman Wise Llambias Donaldson Vuckic Jonas Martins Ranger Viduka Ashley Carroll Baheng Lovenkrands Subs: Ameobi Smith

van der Sar is 89mins from a European clean sheet record btw.

Have to say, from the sounds of things, Shepherd is attempting to make a positive regional impact which should be commended.

NUSC come across badly, but Llambias seems completely delusional about what is right in front of his face. -
...who do you still want to be here? That is of the current bunch of players in the squad WHO HAVE ACTUALLY PLAYED, who do you still want to be here in three years and in what capacity would be the maximum acceptable? For me: Key players: Krul Bassong Regular starters: Enrique Gutierrez Possibly Coloccini Squad Players: Beye Ryan Taylor Guthrie Barton Martins Carroll Possibly Xisco. The possibles are because I'd hope they'd settle in a bit better for their second season. I'd hope the rest had fucked off. Shows what work needs to be done really.

The team lacks confidence and it lacks spark. It'll just get worse with each defeat and is a downward spiral. New manager is a solution but unlikely to happen. New signings are out of the question, and an injured player coming back is just swapping like for like. I'd like to see a couple of young players come into the team, freshen things up and maybe light the crowd up with a bit of optimism. Krul, Carroll and LuaLua would be the obvious candidates.

Jenas starts for England. Lets not go down the international so must therefore be a top player route. He may start for Argentina but he doesn't STAR for them... pretty much how he plays for us. he starts but doesn't shine. Unless you're one of those fans who looks at his work rate and his trickery on the ball to evade markers as shininge xamples of outstanding play and contribution. I don't, I value my players being able to do good things on the ball in key areas which Jonas struggles with and its starting to effect the team. Jenas doesn't even get in the squad

We'll go down, Kinnear won't get blamed, Kinnear gets new contract, Kinnear takes us down again, Hughton given job, Hughton takes us midtable. Sacked. Llambias appoints himself manager. Club moves to Buckinghamshire so Ashley can get to games.

I'd take Roeder now.
-
This offside free kick thing. I remember Roeder taking credit for it, bragging as if his tactical genius directly helped us draw with Everton. Clearly going to need unteaching.

Butt and Smith always save their worst performances for this game, or thats how it seems each time anyhow.
-
Let us face it, if you dare to outplay Man Utd at any point, Sir Alex is going to be out for revenge next time.
-
Sadly I'm gonna miss this game
-
Shite team who can't pass from the back.
-
He'd be amazing in a good team with good management who knew how to utilise him, but not for us.
-
You know what, I can't.
-
Butt might have to come off. Best part of our game so far.
