  1. Bibs were an Allardyce faze. It doesnt seem to be something Keegan does, other people seem to have picked up on it after it has stopped.
  2. For the Benefit of Mr. Kite Dave? Clearly you're only sleeping.
  3. Messrs Keegan and Houghton assure the public their production will be second to none, And of course Shola the horse dances the waltz.
  4. I read the news today, oh boy, 4000 holes in Blackburn, Lancashire And as the goals were rather small, Michael couldn't score at all. Now we know he isn't even going to get an England call.
  5. I go on holiday the day after the Everton game, should it come down to the last game iam either gonna go away and have a great holiday or a depressing one, Walinho will save us though iam sure. I have no idea who Walinho is, only that he's 17, and Portuguese. One of the best performances I have seen from a Newcastle winger based on the dream. We need to find him and sign him as he set up two of the goals.
  6. I still have nightmares about Ramge's performance against Birmingham last season, a game that included the worst bit of individual defending I have ever seen from a Premiership player.
  7. Did you see Diatta play? Not much, but he cannot be any worse that what we have,.. i agree with this Did no-one see his complete capitulation when Besiktas lost 8-0 to Manchester United this season? Was he solely responsible for Besiktas shipping 8 goals or did his team mates have something to do with it as well? Well given that we blame individuals for 3-0 defeats vs Liverpool....

  9. I dreamt we needed to win vs Everton on last day to stay up last night. We played the following team: Harper Geremi Beye Taylor Milner Duff Barton Butt Walinho Shearer Owen We were 2-0 down, and were creating loads of chances and shooting on sight, but Howard had the better of him. Keegan brought on N'Zogbia, Shola, and some youngster called Cratchett, Shola nabbed a brace, and Cratchett got the winner.
  10. You've spelt Forster wrong. Would also have to have Krul and Soderberg in there IMO.
  11. Them Academies being the b****** creation of Howard Wilkinson. Imported from Europe actually. Some rules & regulations may be the same as those used in other countries, but the concept, CREATION & roll out in England was overseen & implemented by Howard Wilkinson. Gerard Houllier imported the player appraisal system.
  12. Don't you think the value of the approach is dependent on the quality and knowledge of the person using it, or is it valuable all by itself? Obviously only good in the hands of the proffessionals in terms of proper analysis, I think the initial purpose of the thread was to demonstrate how the proffessionals may judge the quality of their playing staff. I'd imagine the four corners takes the format of a work appraisal, i.e. scores out of 5 plus comments, and the comments section is probably more important than the score in terms of analysis. Wouldn't do much good to see us all on here analyse these players in such a manner, as the average analytical footballing knowledge on here is probably 1% that of the proffessionals.
  13. Them Academies being the bastard creation of Howard Wilkinson. Imported from Europe actually.
  14. Some people are showing incredible ignorance and lack of footballing knowledge here. Four Corners is what the academies use to rate their players, and these assessments are made periodically in order to measure development.
  15. Team should be: Harper Beye Faye Cacapa Enrique Duff Geremi Barton N'Zogbia Martins Owen Team will be: Harper Beye Faye Taylor N'Zogbia Barton Butt Smith Duff Viduka Owen
  16. Given that our midfielders are well below the average height for a modern day Premiership midfield, we should find it easier than other clubs do to hide their midfield.
  17. Still haven't answered this question NE5... because its a bit daft isn't it ? Its obviously the children, but this is going off on a different tangent altogether. Where will it lead ? Starving people in Africa ? Getting rid of President Mugabe ? Cancer research ? Unbelievable. So when people are praising a man for giving a significant amount to charity, you come in with the following response: aye, smashing. Never mind that the team is in the shite though, taking the thread of in a complete tangent about the board by implying that Ashley should be spending his money elsewhere. Unbelievable. I'm lost for words.
  18. Still haven't answered this question NE5...
  19. Not saying he should start, but should be allowed to develop from the bench - unless we get relegated, in which case we should pull out all the stops to sign him and build a team around him.
  20. The main issue though is this: What is more important? reducing the number of children dying from HIV/AIDS related illnesses by 3000 over the next 6 months, or Mike Ashley having an extra £150k to give to his manager. By complaining about this NE5, you are implying that the latter is more important.
  21. One of the reasons that Keegan came here was because he knew that Ashley would give him the money for a trophy push.
  22. Nothing worse than someone making out a young player is better than he actually is. I've seen him play live as a sixteen year old, saw Walcott at around about the same time. Thought Sinclair was better. His running on the ball and movement scared people, he seemed instinctively more inteligent than many quick strikers we see in the Premier League.
  23. Was £15m at 11pm when I tuned in, just after someone rich and anonymous had contacted Sports Relief to pledge £5.5m. Hope it wasn't Ashley, as this thread could become 5.5m pages long.
  24. mackems.gif best I heard for years. Then how can you the complain at Ashley?... laughable that you don't understand the meaning of the word complacency, nor the value of backing managers, I'm also pleased for you that you think staring relegation in the face and as soon as the fat bastard and his mate have left the club, heading back to where they found us, is an improvement. It's all spin with you, you can take one particular set of facts and twist it in a positive or negative manner depending on whoever is being talked about. "spin" ? It was never me who said that qualifying for europe and playing in the Champions League meant the club was run by incompetent fools, or whatever of the dozens of phrases that were used. You accuse Ashley of being complacent and not backing the manager during one period of his ownership, yet when someone points out Shepherd was similarly complacent and did not back the manager by only signing Bowyer during the most critical period of his reign, i.e. the summer after our 3rd place, you revert to a defensive stance. That is spin.
