Really proud of the lads today. A good, battling performance from a team which is down to its bare bones. We could easily have got a point today. Thought Rossi did very well, put himself about along with Milner and Butt. Sibs looked a star (a low star, like) when he was on the pitch and Martins could've easily profited from some of his touches if he'd been a bit luckier and was on the same wavelength. Pattison dwelt on the ball too much, for my liking but against an athletic team like Chelsea I'd definitely pick him over Luque. Overall: Forza Newcastle! Sadly, more injuries. Sibs didn't look too bad, but Zoggy looks crocked.

He opened a pimp school instead.

I'd be overjoyed if someone could come up with a tunes which references the one and only Normski: http://www.dj-services.co.uk/dj-services%20graphics/normski4.jpg

he's shit. He's the Spanish Stephen Carr. Totally agree Eh? He's about a thousand times better than Carr. Well, was, at least.
-
like that's gonna make a difference to them! Aye, that takes the shine off a bit, but you take what you can get.
-
His English is excellent, though. I think he stuttured, only because it wasn't his best goal, which is what the lazy journo asked. What kind of question is that when the Levadia goal was equally as good, if not better? Aye, stupid question. Wish he had the wit of Gordon Strachan to deliver an appropriately stupid answer.

The thing I like about the Essien goal is that he knew it was in as soon as it left his foot. Check the replays, he's already celebrating and the ball's only jiust entered the 18-yard box!

I fucking hated Butt as much as anyone, and I don't think I've ever been more suprised at a player's upturn in form. I was 99% sure his career was pretty much dead. I'd say he's been pushing for MOM every time he's played this season. Keep it up, Nicky.

I'm backing him because I don't think he's an utter cunt. Every interview I've seen with him he's looked like a shy little bairn. I think he's definitely a confidence player, so needs a steady CF to play alongside.

Like most, I rate Shevchenko, but I think it's feckin' hilarious that Chelsea have gone and wasted all that money.

I think it's time they stopped blaming the Argies, isn't it? NEVER!

First off, I wasn't at the match. However, it sounds like Bullshit, imo. The booing may be irrational, but I don't think it's racial. If that were Bernard he wouldn't have got half the stick beacuse the fans like him: he gave 100% every match and didn't come across as a money-grabbing cunt. It's out of order, imo, but fans have booed other players in the past with no regard for skin colour--Robert, Andy O'Brien, Nicky Butt, Viana--as well as getting behind players that, quite frankly, didn't do a lot to deserve it: Jenas, Faye, Kluivert, Cart Cort, Lua Lua, Shaka Hislop, Miran-bloody-dinha among others.

Fuck off, Carr, you fucking fuck. You big, stupid, bald dwarf: go join Villa where they might appreciate a fucking has-been like yourself. You idiotic seething midget. You ugly fat cunt. Learn how to head a ball, you shitbag.

Sounds like bollocks to me, so your saying you need a degree before you can take the UEFA/FA course? To complete the course you need a degree of some sort. Christ. I hope you're joking. I've never heard such a load of bollocks in all my days.

I don't get it. Her brother is a fucking multi-millionaire and she's resorting to selling smack out of her knickers? Them Dyers are a bright lot.
-
I noticed they're allowed to stand up, too. Funny how it's allowed on the continent but you get hoyed out the ground in England.
-
Surely that's more to do with them buying scores of shit players who weren't up to the job?
-
Decent performance from the wee fella. HOWEVER, he loses the ball too fuckin' often by running in blind alleys. We conceded posession too easily today and it was mostly Emre or N'Zogbia at fault.
-
Thought Butt was decent as was Solano and Sibs. Everyone else was pretty poor.
-
Pretty much the same for me. I thought he was a top player for us and a smashing lad. Whoever said he was carrying Jenas is spot on, I remember watching whole matches where he was having to do Jenas' work for him.

You really do have a simplistic way of looking at things, mate. I think you just have a simplistic way of interpreting what I write. If Emre had played his regular game against Arsenal, regardless of who was alongside him, I think we would've lost. He's too clumsy in posession, his passing is usually poor, his tackling is lightweight, he runs into player and gives up the ball too often, his set-pieces have usually been tame or inaccurate. He's played one good game against a shit team, what does that prove? I actually don't give a shit about any comparison between Parker and Emre. Emre being shite in your opinion doesn't improve Parker as a footballer. By the way, what did you think of the team performances and the results during the latter part of last season when Parker was absent? Do you understand it is a team game and that the team generally performs better without Parker in that team? Myth, tbh. We won matches with Parker in the side and without. The one common factor when we started winning was the absence of Souness. After he'd fucked off we won our first five or six matches (with Parker in the team, btw) until we went to Old Trafford. Once again, simplistic. He really is your HERO, isn't he, mate. I said "team performances", not just results. We looked a far, far better team without Parker, we created more chances and looked far more dangerous. In my opinion. I'm not sure what your problem is: I'm just sticking up for a decent, whole-hearted player who's getting a lot of unnecessary stick, imo. In my opinion, it was the likes of N'Zogbia and Shola that helped us over the line last season not the absence of Parker that suddenly caused the team to gel: I don't think performances post-Parker were any better than those with Parker in the side. We played some very poor teams, and we got a bit lucky: for example, Amdy Faye put in one of the worst performances I've ever seen against Wigan and we still won.

Don't think there's anyone in the competition we should be scared of, unless the likes of Arsenal etc. drop out. Even then: great, I'd rather see us have a good crack at Arsenal, Barca or whoever than another mediocre side. We might actually see something close to a full house.
