  1. They can relegate Boro by not beating Hull next week. It will become part of mackem football folklore, relegating us one season and Boro the next
  2. But isn't this season's relegation still Bruce's fault for being a Geordie ?
  3. Probably the longest drawn out relegation ever but this season they looked down from the start. Even they weren't going to fluke it this time with that shower playing for them. Ironic that Bournemouth relegated them, a club who along with Burnley, Watford, Stoke, WBA, Palace etc seem light years ahead of them in terms of structure and organisation despite them being in the PL a decade and spending and paying wages at the higher end of the scale. It's going to be a hard slog ahead of them and I can understand their fans being very angry about the way the club has been ran and managed.
  4. They actually lost El Shitico ? Boro beat them ? Burst out laughing!
  5. He's a top bloke for sure. Not too unpopular in Bilbao either.
  6. Yup, especially if he suspects that he's being chucked under the bus. This bloke is way out his depth, and Ashley is ruthless. Honestly I hope there's correspondence (Charnley's kept some sort of record) implicating Ashley, basically painting the narrative that Ashley is more hands-on than it's often reported, and this tax avoidance scheme was hatched from the very top. Early Christmas present if Charnley has covered his arse and he flips on his paymaster. Are you two on drugs?
  7. Can thread title be changed to Cardiff City vs 2017 Newcastle if necessary? ☺
  8. Who knows what may happen eventually, but if this is a serious fraud investigation currently at the arrest stage it will be quite while until it concludes and any punishments are dished out.
  9. I'd say Shields (S) has always been a bit more black and white, the rest of S.Tyneside more so and Gateshead almost all Black and white. NW Durham - Consett and Stanley down towards Swallwell/Birtley again has a big majority of black and white. Washington and even around Durham City has a load of black and whites. I'd go as far as to say half of Newcastle's fanbase is and always has been from what was once County Durham. The truth is most people in the north of County Durham have always regarded Newcastle as their town for shopping, socialising etc etc and have a strong connection to it. Pretty pointless argument really as we have always had more fans than them and that is most clearly illustrated when they have been in a higher league. Even Sunderland boy made good Tom Cowie, the last mackem to be in charge of their club, said he wished Sunderland fans could be as loyal and passionate as Newcastle's.
  10. That's about where I am with this season right now as well.
  11. Yeah this is my issue as well. We average 2 goals a game across the season so this drop has been concerning. we get one then go all nervous, it's end of season pressure they are bringing on themselves, we are a big club and i feel the players know we all want this and go into survival mode, its just human instinct at times. Lose top goalscorer and main threat at the same time as losing best defender. Recipe for nerves right there. Hayden returning is my only hope as we shouldn't see much of Colback, hopefully ever again. Reckon he will start tonight sadly, 2 games in 3 days maybe too much for Hayden sadly. Well if he does then you have to start seriously questioning the managers decision making enough is enough. hadaway and fuckin shite man !
  12. We're a much better team than Leeds and we're long overdue a convincing performance.
  13. It's a super moon tomorrow night apparently.
  14. They were doing alright until Larsson got sent off tbf Only saw the 2nd half mate so I'll take your word for it. Mind nothing from their previous games would suggest they're better with eleven men How long is it since they scored a goal even ?
  15. Saw the 2nd half of their match. They were truly abysmal, Man U just strolled around like it was a kick about after training. Pickford certainly didn't look special I only recall two serious efforts in the second half, both resulted in goals and he could have done better with both. It must really piss their fans off to see how easily they roll over after nearly a decade in the league and the huge amounts wasted. Once equivalent clubs like Everton, WBA, Southampton, Leicester, Stoke, West Ham are now light years ahead of them and clubs they'd once have looked down on, Palace, Bournemouth, Burnley, Watford even Hull are in much better shape.
  16. Is the more recent of the two the one which the mackems often refer to ?
  17. Our home form is hardly atrocious like 5th best in the division, 3 points away from being 3rd best. Absolutely atrocious. Just one of several "myths" which have been freely bandied around this season. Another example could be certain people saying Knockaert is the best player in the league (he is very decent mind) while Paul Dummet is poor, conveniently ignoring that Dummet hardly gave him a sniff over the course of two games.
  18. Fucking hell, Wilbur and Orville Wright were still in the planning stage when the Bender Squad were kicking around
  19. Somehow it should be made very clear that a vast majority of Newcastle fans want nothing to do with this and that it is merely some random individual who wants to do it. Poll on here perhaps ?
  20. I know it's a team effort and everyone has chipped in but the 12M we spent on this guy really could have made the difference between promotion and not promotion.
  21. All w@nkers. Sorry. Still bitter One thing for sure, it's about 14,980 more than used to watch them a few seasons ago when they really did need support.
  22. I think the fly over is a rotten idea and any attempt to justify it by linking it to charity makes it even worse.
  23. I know the lad fundraising, It already reached its target for the cost of the plane, and is now taking the donations for charity. Sadly small time imo, but if it has to happen why not something with a bit of punch rather than predictable drivel ? e.g. " so who really did know about the paedo then? " Please no. Wasn't really being serious like
