  1. Thought if I went away for a few hours I would calm down or find some optimism again but I'm absolutely gutted. Feel completely defeated. We looked out of ideas, scared and confidence through the floor. Must have passed earth's core today. Players can't rely on each other and they won't have anything but a defeated and pissed off crowd soon. Only hope is some new players coming that can turn things around, still we need luck when the club seems absolutely cursed. We simply never look like scoring.
  2. Was good in general. Knackered by the 70th and looked really slow which is probably more match fitness and tough with ASM leaving so much space.
  3. CB CM Striker Is the barest of minimums. Ideally two CMs with one being a DM, two CBs and a LB. We are in the shit. Massively.
  4. Aye. Might as well buy young talent or experience that might save us or will certainly make us strong enough to go up next year.
  5. Reckon he will be back when we go down.
  6. Think it's more whether the club is ready to spend millions just to loose all the players and money with release clauses in the summer.
  7. Absolute disaster of a result yet again but it could have been worse. The players are scared, they over think absolutely everything and now we are tuned into switching off and conceding late as a habit. The first half was horrific, we were managed by watford and any chance of a break we are overthinking and spending top much time on the ball. Inevitably going back or missing the opportunity. We are looking worse and more clueless in attack with every game now. 21 points dropped from winning positions this year is inexcusable. It's a team that is getting relegated. Pay Lille and sevilla what they want. I don't want to see lascelles play again. Seething. (I had to watch on a delay so haven't had time to think rationally yet)
  8. Encouraging to see us still linked with left back options. Could still see an entirely new backline this window!
  9. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10403755/MICAH-RICHARDS-Newcastle-ripped-heart-Burnley-signing-Chris-Wood.html Positive if not uber fluffy read for Newcastle fans.
  10. All mentality. While the Cambridge game and being out of the cup could turn out to be a blessing, I think we all would be confidently buzzing had we won that game. It was a real gut shot and shakes confidence that these players mentally have what it takes to get the necessary points under pressure. Fingers crossed as usual. HTL.
  11. If we stay up or even if we don't we will eventually get to that point anyway. Nothing to say we don't get two now and the other in the summer and play a back 3 or just to have a rotation.
  12. Feels like this one has more legs than the others but more so from the player and press pushing for it. Club clearly don't want to lose him. Feel like Lille are OK if they get the right offer. Monaco also.
  13. If we see Botman being here for the best part of a decade the price, if true, isn't that ridiculous. Feel we are being very calculated with FFP though those extra 10m add up and potentially mean we can't bring in an extra player or two or hamstring movement in the summer. Not convinced he gets any cheaper in the summer (especially if his form is consistent) and there will be more competition for him.
  14. Yeah that is an interesting one. A cheaper British alternative to Hugo but good experience and the brother connection is neat. Uduokhai is a fifa monster isn't he?
  15. Him with the hood up isn't it? Hope he is back soon either way.
  16. Could definitely be that we want Botman (or someone else) and are prepared to wait until the summer if necessary. Been very quiet on CM/DM in comparison to other positions. Hopefully the rumour of the ownership wanting a marquee CM is true. To be unveiled in Saudi after the Leeds game Edit: Cough Cough - https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10398151/RB-Leipzig-midfielder-Amadou-Haidara-type-player-Newcastle-need-sign.html
  17. https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2022/01/13/report-after-newcastle-made-contact-everton-now-talking-to-54-year-old-director-of-football/ Everton apparently talking to Ramon Planes.
  18. Nothing new. We know he is interested. Easy to gamble that things are positive when there has been no official - "he isn't for sale" Statement.
  19. A positive direction, but for who?
  20. Think he would be a great short term fit for us and low cost. Covers a lot of ground on both ends of the pitch. Not sure he is moving yet? Was it this you saw?
  21. Schlotterbeck wasn't a goer but we were interested according to reports. Don't remember anyone else. Think someone here suggested someone but we weren't actually linked.
  22. Smalling, Jones, Ramsey, Fellaini, Ighalo. Sorted. PL EXPERIENCE
  23. Might be loyalty bonuses etc. involved too. If we are being sneaky and really want him to come we just offer to cover any losses to player/agent from out end. Depends how much the player wants it.
