I don't really get this tbh, CM is a pretty specialist position, I don't think he could play there He's not that good at tackling as well which would be massive requirement for him playing centrally. AM maybe? Spot on that he would work deeper. Also as mentioned 15m is a decent price. I love his work rate and passion. I prefer Townsend though so wouldn't be too dissappinted with the switch out if it happened. Bit like Mitro and mbemba, rafa works with them day in day out. Ings of three/four seasons ago would be a direct upgrade on Gayle. 25 appearances in 3 seasons is a worry. Especially when 16 are off the bench. Shouldn't cost lots but would be a gamble imo.
