Still feeling out the physicality of the league but looks quite classy. Worked nicely with hayden today.

Never thought I'd welcome a nuclear war They didn't have the range to reach north America after all...
-
To be honest who would be willing to come here and work for Ashley after he has again completely undermined and lied to yet another manager. Even Pardew would give us a wide birth.

Plan F initiate. Might as well bring Doumbia back. No doubt if fit and motivated Remy was a fantastic player for us. This just screams of disaster though, on the upside it's low risk and we aren't lumbered with him after. This window has been beyond disappointing. Real reality check of the club's standing and where we are at and have been the past 10 years.

These are all players we pretty much don't want ffs So much hyperbole on here, have you forgotten the Pardew/Carver days? We've got pretty the bunch of players as last season.. except we are much worse this year. A shambles at the back. So what is it? Is the manager not coaching or motivating them? Unlikely. Has all the negativity written in the press gotten to them? Probable.. So who's reposnsible for sorting all of this out? We are losing in a cup competition we don't particularly care about this season, given the manager is working with two hands tied behind us back he's clearly decided this cup isn't a priority. He sorted this rabble out last season btw don't you have any faith whatsoever? In a different division. If this was a different manager, the knives would be out for putting out that kind of a team. Don't worry won't be long til we get the opportunity with someone new.

Lmao he has a white beard. Charnley dad maybe?

Rather Jovetic than Perez tbh for what we need. Or shift Nitro and get them both Perez is still the more likely of the two and neither is still the most likely.
-
Riviere was courted Arsenal too. If its the only striker signing it is very underwhelming. But in Rafa we trust.
-
Decent Murphy replacement. Think we will have to shift Mitro if we want Perez. Can't see that happening.
-
Scrabbling around for loan deals, dear oh dear. To be fair it was put out there in May we would be using the loan market this summer more than we have in the past. Doesn't excuse the ineptitude of getting them in earlier.

Starting to feel it's more inevitable to wake up to news of rafa walking than news of us signing anyone. Sickening feeling. How much more trolling can Ashley do? Answer: lots. Far too much credit to say he is trolling. He is just a complete moron. On to an absolute winner with rafa and the club's future but he is intent on letting it completely crumble to save a couple of quid.

Dat atsu finish. Dat Darlow long distance save. Specialist. Still worried about the striker situation. Wingers look good although didn't like Aaron on the right. New lad looked canny, shelvey and the backline looked solid. We are about 3/4 decent additions to finishing top half imo. Will be a struggle with present squad. -
Wow front page headlines. Horror story in happy ending shocker.

Finally a replacement for Luque.
-
Going back to deportivo according to the press. If mitro goes we are going to need two more strikers.
-
Just plays either wing doesn't he? Ritchie and Murphy could be options through the middle but if we were thinking that way rafa surely would be testing it out in pre season games?
-
And then denying interest anyway.

I know Rafa loves the 4-2-3-1 but for a formation with two holding midfielders it offers hardly any cover in front of the back 4. I hate the f***ing system, it's awful. Obviously it'll be better with better players but i'm never going to really like it. Agreed, I f***ing hate 4-2-3-1. It's too rigid and predictable, for us anyway. That's all on the manager, mind. That's rafa though. His team's always frustrate the hell out of fans but he usually creates effective and successful teams given time. Last bit is pivotal in any job. -
