Fernandes available for 30m at Southampton. West Ham apparently in for him. Another at a reasonable price I'd take.
-
If we manage to get Jackson on a loan to buy that covers us should Isak stay. If he goes we can also bring another striker in come January. Osula isn't there yet, could be Osula out on loan or just go with 4 strikers. Far from unheard of.
-
If we get the midfielder(s) we need he will be sold or loaned. Interesting he said he has been training as a CM though.
-
THIS.. all day. Not sure if that is what we are looking for with the Rudoni links. We tons in the engine room though and lack that creative genius, spontaneous shooter or dribbler through the middle.
-
Loan to buy for Jackson makes sense... after we get Wissa. Probably doesnt make sense for Chelsea though lol Also two AFCON strikers isn't ideal.

He was first choice last year before we pivoted to Guehi. I can understand the PL experience pull for Howe but we have got him for almost half the price Guehi would cost. People had valid concerns about Guehi too.
-
I would have thought we are well stocked in defence. Maybe another experience CB and GK (thought moan was highly rated though). Another top drawer CM, Winger and striker would be good.
-
Would be an amazing signing. Not a chance we are going up against another big 6 club again this window without MAJOR and binding assurances from the player and club lol
-
They should be honored to receive such a sum. A blessing indeed. Maybe Palace can present their offering of Guehi at the altar of Wembley to the Scouse God's and beg not to be smited for the game and the season.

Well... its rumoured we are at the "considering" stage, for what that is worth lol

Totally agree. Hoping we have changed the plan a little to be able to flex more on a CM after saving money on Ramsdale and possibly Thiaw.

One of our biggest issues the past few seasons is not being clinical enough (depsite scoring a ton). We can create chances. Although that even looked iffy in patches last year. Not taking our chances has cost us points as much as switching off at the back. I do hope we are going for someone creative to replace Longstaff, like Paqueta. We need more unpredictability and spontaneous skill through the middle. The engine room is stocked with Tonali, Miley and Big Joe. Bruno can do both to a point. Samu might frustrate more of we get him. The pace and power should create more space though for us to overload.

Was reported to be available for 55m a day ago. I expect we could get him for around the same price we bid for Ekitike, if not a bit less. 80m euros maybe.
-
He has Bellamy-esque relentless running, harrassing and speed too. Very hopeful he will be a hit here if we can finally get him.
-
Its approaching a 7/10 window if we get Wissa and Thaiw in. If we can add a really class striker and decent central mid as well we could pump up to an 8 or 8.5m Time will tell on Elanga, who is the closest, but we haven't added a true world class player to the squad yet imo.
-
I'm most excited that we got a CB with pace. We have been brutally exposed all pre-season and our aging CB's are only getting slower. Thaiw is probably the quickest CB we have been linked to and the majority of the others, while likely higher rated were all lacking pace in comparison and closer to what we already have in that regard.

Priorities have shifted in this window. I think we had bigger targets in mind but have had to adapt and funnel fees elsewhere. I think the Como price is moot. I doubt they would have sold him to us that cheap. It is what it is either way. Worst case he is leveling up on Lascelles and we buy again in January/next summer. I'm not against this one at all.

To be fair, he is never shy to show he is frustrated. He usually does so cryptically or sometimes more blatantly. Always professional but usually says enough to imply all is not well. If the owners were acting like they didn't give a shit we would definitely sense that from Eddie. I didn't get any uncomfort or cynicism from him. Also no chance we would have jettisoned Mitchell if they didn't give a shit. There is, as Eddie says, an incredible amount of things going on at the club (stadium/Training ground/Womens teams, new appointments, signings etc.). We are just stretched too thin and caught in the middle of a ton of unique transfer/PSR circumstances.

Getting 3 strikers isn't crazy. Having a squad with 4 strikers in it used to be standard. 5 at one point. Especially when a couple of the strikers can also play wide or maybe drop deep. I would however be astounded if we managed to bring 3 in. Not least when we need another CB and RB.
