He has played less than Harper over the last few years. Used to be a great Keeper, but should have left Chelsea years ago, can he rekindle his past form again? Who knows.
-
Might not be alot of space for him, but he offers something different to what we already have. Had Geremi not looked so good in preseason playing in midfield I would have expected a DM to come in. Butt and Geremi are midfield battlers, but we dont really have a midfield dominator. Provided we sign a bit more cover at the back, Id welcome Diops height, and I'd tip Allardyce to get him playing like he was a couple of years ago. Thats if he has the time after doing the same to the majority of our squad!

No. He's not. Next. Gudjohnsen to complete our 7 strong front line. Would be great for creativity in our midfield but we hardly need him at the moment.

Via .com Surely they are just taking the piss? that or he is turning up looking like that!

Cassano- Deco- Appiah all still available. (Let's have some fun).

Have you never been over to spain?? Newcastle are a well known club all around the world! Champions league we palyed Barcelona a couple of times. If he knows about us then he'll know not to come anyway tbh Just out of interest why do you think Appiah would be a waste of time and money? -
Harper Carr Taylor Rozenhal N'Zogbia Geremi Butt Smith Martins Viduka Milner For me. Although Ameobi could well figure.
-
How is Babayaro back on track? He was almost looking injury free, credit where credit is due, Sam made sure it was just a one off.
-
Only thing that will be remembered for killing his career will be him. Doubt people will even remember where he went after Barcelona in years to come, he lost his desire long before he left Barca.
-
Cant we call him Smitty?
-
"Your my friend now Dave" Can already see Luque banging on his hotel room door with a load of presents and a card saying "please be my friend".
-
The more I see of Geremi the more Im sure we wont be buying another DM this window. Without taking credit away from Butt, who has been excellent, Geremi looks classy in that role. A Trio of Barton Geremi Emre or Barton Geremi Smith is pretty fearsome. Rozenhal of course is also experienced in playing as a DM. Im sure the last signing of the four will be a RB. Should Enrique and Drago come in. Although it looks like he has already chosen to sign for Everton, it would be interesting to see if we would still push through a deal for Baines if he did want to come.

Wouldnt be suprised if we started against Bolton 4-3-3 as follows. Harper Carr Taylor Rozenhal Enrique Geremi Butt Milner Smith N'Zog Viduka Not sure if Martins might replace N'Zog, but I think Enrique will need all the protection he needs, if he is fit he will start imo.

its a bugger, i move to canada just as they completely screw with all the tv rights, cant get any of the games on my tv deal at the minute. seriously considering getting the setanta broadband deal.

Take it, thats not available outside the UK?
-
How come he hasnt signed for Spurs yet? MJ didnt start the baines rumours aswell did he?
-
Where the hell is he? Its been three days and we havent heard ANYTHING! Ashley needs to sort himself out before another club snaps him up. typical Newcastle transfer tbh, not getting my hopes up anymore!

Actually have a decent pool to pick from for this one. What are the rules for substitutions? Could we field two different teams if we wanted? Given Harper Carr, Taylor, Cacapa, Roz, Hunty, Ramage, Edgar, Solano, Milner, Geremi, Smith, Butt, N'Zog, DYER?? Troisi Shola, Viduka, Martins, Luque, Carroll Plus the usual academy boys. Id expect Cacapa to get some time, whether its a half or more im not sure, but will definatley get some time on the pitch. Will surely start with the basic side for next weekend. Looks a little light in midfield, but its a decent squad despite missing Barton, Duff, Emre, Owen and I guess I better add Babayaro. -
Spurs were alledgedly interested, but your point is spot on.

Its an elaborate hoax to stick two fingers up at West Ham for trying to nick Joey Barton after we were selling them Parker. Its obviously better we get rid of Dyer if he really is that unhappy here, lets face it if he wasnt he will be after the eggs incident. On the flip side we are more than within our rights to demand more for Dyer the way West Ham have been throwing away money and the british market inflation. If anything id say he is worth more than Parker, has better England credentials, more European experience and whilst its close scores alot more. Obviously the injuries take alot off, but Parker was certainly not captain invincible for us. If he stays im sure Sam will sort him out and he will get his head down, we will find use for him. If he doesnt then we are more than covered. Talk of a loyalty bonus is as likely as Titus managing to count to ten on his fingers. Im not even going to give consideration to Dyer being that absurd.

The key to the team is in who is organising it. Smith will be a valuable player for what Allardyce wants to bring to this club to get us winning matches, and will add to the choices already at his disposal. One thing Smith will bring is bite and a spine in away matches that few of our players fancied using over the last few seasons. Not to mention his versatility and experience of being in one of the best teams in the world and winning things. Dependant on where and who we are playing he will be very useful IMO. And whilst its going a little step too far, id say there are few sides in the league that can match our versatility up front.

"As a boy I supported... Liverpool. As a local lad I used to watch from The Kop when Robbie Fowler was making his name. I started out at Liverpool's Centre of Excellence and although it was disappointing when nothing came of it, I was lucky that both Wigan and Wolves wanted to sign me." http://www.fourfourtwo.premiumtv.co.uk/page/TheBoys/0,,11442~587312,00.html Crappy journalism tbh. As ever a quality report from SS. Has anyone seen then current poll on the bottom of the page? Latest Poll Who will win the Barclays Premier League Liverpool Chelsea Arsenal Manchester United Spurs Everton Other Putting Spurs in is bad enough.

Plus Mark Delaney is signing. woop!
-
And Ramage never had a bad game against....... ...it means nothing anyways.

Surely the last player Allardyce wants in will be either at RB or DM? If Drago and Enrique join LB is basically sorted, plus we will have 4 first team CBs plus Ramage, Huntingdon and Edgar. Just depends whether Sam thinks we need a DM dominator or a classy RB. Personally Id rather plum for the RB, giving Carr more direct competition and allowing Geremi and Solano back into the midfield. DM can wait for a later point, Butt and possible Geremi, Smith and certainly Rozenhal can play there if needed. Should we wrap up Drago, Enrique (baines) and a RB over the next week or so it will be interesting to see if our spending stops there, with two or three weeks left to possibly put the icing on the top of the squad cake.

Sam and Ashley have snapped. "You whinging bastards want left backs, heres some fucking left backs!" Strange.. surely at most we would be signing two from Enrique/Drago and Baines? But as mentioned, whilst unlikely, its possible the N'Zog to Fulham links might be true, with Diop coming the other way. All shall be revealed over the next couple of days, although Id expect the Baines deal to be the most doubtfull of the lot.
