    Ryan Taylor

Hit and Miss, great set pieces, some missed chances and sloppy tracking back but overall decent. Not convinced he would be decent at RB, seems a bit lightweight.
  2. My preference, and all realistic. 1)Houllier 2)Bruce 3)Mancini 4)Ketsbaia 5)Shearer
  3. If we dont get 3 points today i think the majority of fans will turn on him, and we know what happens next.. this time we might see relegation as well.

Ironic that "for the best" we are trying to keep kinnear who is the reason we will have lost arguably our best striker, left back, goal keeper and left winger.. when do people start questioning his abilities to manage.
  5. Twat. is the word that comes to mind. he is a complete fucking joker, its got to the point that id rather gamble on shearer or poyet than have him stay in charge.
  6. would be nice if JFK can send out a side in the first half that actually fancies playing a game of football rather than giving the ball away and letting the opposition score. The biggest thing that worries me at the minute is the lack of confidence and motivation instilled into the team. If there was one thing I thought JFK would do, it would be firing the players up to perform to their best every game. Unless he hits a winning formular soon I think it might well be bye bye JFK aswell as our premiership status. If colo is out ---------------------------Harper--------------------------- R.Taylor------S.Taylor----------------Bassong-----Enrique Duff----------Nolan--------------------Butt----------Lovenkrands ---------------Ameobi----------Martins------------------ Would be nice enough.
  7. This to be honest. Have him in for a year or so to groom shearer then move him upstairs. He is a name everyone forgets about but is probably one of the most obvious choices, is respected, has great experience and achievements to boot, would persuade Owen to stay, works great with youngsters. Would be a willing mentor to Shearer. Probably the best fit out there for this club. Wanted him when we appointed Roeder and after he left. We should have gone all out for him after keegan left. Of the others: Bruce - we have done worse, would be a solid choice over time if not an enthralling one. He would get the club stable again but If all did go to plan I dont think he would be the one to take us back to the top four or beyond. Martinez - Like him, but too much of a risk. Ironic I can say that with JFK in the hotseat every day, maybe with some experience around him. Probably a non starter though. Jol - Wouldnt be a bad choice again, probably more like Bruce but could take us a slight touch futher, IF fans took to him. Ketsbaia - Would be mental, would get everyone happy and the players fired up, seems like a great coach and knows the club. I think the powers that be would see him as too much of a risk, maybe fair enough. Would be entertaining though. Shearer - Would go one of two ways, surrounded by a diverse and experienced coaching set up wouldnt be so bad, its got to happen sometime. The people appointed around him would be vital though. Moyes - Seems crazy to think he would be even remotely interested, but never say never. He has been at Everton a while, people under estimate the pull of the club even in the states its in, a big contract, money to spend and a decent set up could entice him imo. He would however be mad to come. Has done a great job at Everton Im sure there are a plethera of talented foreign coaches that would jump at the job too, I cant think of any off hand that I would like though. On the flip side there are plenty of coaches in the UK that would do the same, I dont think there are any I would want that I havent mentioned though.
  8. Just when you thought things couldnt get much worse... ...a 3-0 loss to West Brom followed by JFK signing a 3 year contract!
  9. ..only spread the crabs they had transfered from a days worth of scratching their crotches and behind instead of sealing transfers
  10. I guess in terms of quality yes. But we have 8 first team strikers (with only one not in full training) Martins, Ameobi, Smith, Xisco, Viduka, Lovenkrands, Carrol, Owen and the Ranger! Central Midfield and Defence is more of a worry tbh.
  11. Can we still sign some of these youngsters outside the window? Seems we had a whole load in the bag but someone forgot to tie it up and they all escaped.
  12. We need some Ranger Danger magic in this one. Man City are hot favourites as usual.
  13. Would we really take that news if true. Its only been a marriage of convenience so far to get our green card to stay up. Fans have only been accepting him on the basis we cant get anybetter and it will ONLY be until the end of the season. If he gets appointed full time I think we could see all hell break loose, it might well condemn us to relegation without kicking a ball.
  14. Im totally done with this joke of a manager now. Its taken long enough. We will be lumbered with him until: a) the end of the season at least (getting a new contract extension is unthinkable and surely something we would not take as fans) b) until we are too late to be saved by bringing someone else in (which is very much a scenario hurling its way into sight). The man just has no clue what so ever. It wont be long before the entire squad is alienated along with the majority of fans, Kinnear needs to pull some wins out of his arse and fast, because If its got to the point where I have no time left for him that generally means the majority of fans will have had enough and we all know where that leads. However I'm still swaying in the opinion getting yet another manager in now could do more damage than good, especially as we wont get anyone significantly better to come in at this point. I get the feeling due to imminent and understandable fan pressure/frustrations we wont have a choice but to find that out.
  15. He was terrible, (albeit a cult legend) cant see this one happening. We certainly would have heard about it at the time if it was true.
  16. Because we have a shit talentless manager in charge thats been out of the game too long.
  17. Hopefully we can make the most use of him before he leaves in the summer.
  18. rather see lambias and kinnear out the door first, wise has been made a huge scapegoat. That said it might be a decent relief on the wage bill.
  19. funny thing there is no chance we would ever appoint ketsbaia and a slim chance we would even go foreign but we are likely to think about appointing shearer that has no experience at all.
  20. That much your right about! Might well mean he is trying harder though = Getting more cards, giving away more fouls than ever. I'd like to think your feeling was right though, its kinda the same feeling as when you think you will win the lottery.
  21. Will be interesting to see if Smith will displace Butt in the middle there. His long absence has temporarily blinded me to his shitness, to the point I actually think it might be worth trying him in there instead of Butt. I have a horrible feeling Smith is the sort of play Kinnear will "find a spot for". Lets pray he has been somehow cured. Nolan, will need a DM next to him to get forward, JFK has said he bought him to go forward with a DM alongside him. The fact Butt is our best option for that speaks volumes. If S.Taylor isnt getting in the side it might not be a bad option to try him there, I dont think he really has the passing range though. I think Nolan will be captain within a couple of months, if not sooner.
  22. Currently Available: GK: Harper, Krul, Foster RB: R. Taylor CB: S. Taylor, Edgar, Bassong, LB: Enrique RW: Geremi, Lua Lua CM: Nolan, Butt LW: Duff, Jonas CF: Lovenkrands, Ameobi Injuries (taken from Physio Room): A Carroll Ankle/Foot Injury no return date F Coloccini Ankle/Foot Injury no return date M Owen Ankle/Foot Injury 21st Mar 09 J Barton Metatarsal Fracture Apr 09 T Kadar Broken Leg Jun 09 D Guthrie Hamstring Injury 22nd Feb 09 - Reports were he was out for the season though Cacapa Knee Injury 22nd Feb 09 M Viduka Groin Strain 22nd Feb 09 H Beye Knee Injury no return date O Martins Gilmores Groin 7th Feb 09 I Gonzalez Achilles Tendinopathy 14th Mar 09 A Smith Acute Shitness 7th Feb 09 Whilst that looks bleak, the few positive are in the versatility we have in the squad which might at least have players playing in a vaugely familiar role. Smith and Martins should be back soon and hopefully Carrol and Colo will shake off the knocks. Goalkeepers: Harper Krul Foster Harper pbviously first choice, hopefully Krul or Foster can make the step up if the inevitable happens and Harper gets injured. Verdict: Potentially nervous situations ahead but should be covered. RB: R Taylor (S.Taylor, Edgar, Colo) Both Taylors could be important to us here with Beyes return too long away. Colo and Edgar could play there if we were desperate. Verdict: Should be covered here CB: S.Taylor, Bassong, (Colo), Edgar Looking a bit stretched if more than a couple of these pick up knocks or suspensions we are in trouble, A returning Cacapa does little to calm fears, Bassong and Colo will more than likely lead the way if Colo isnt laid out they need to build and solidify their partnership quicker though. Colo especially needs to start leading from the back and talking instead of trying to coast through games. Verdict: Pray for some luck and cohesion in this area. At best we will just make the odd mistake, at worst we are all over the shop LB: Enrique (Bassong, R.Taylor) Who would have thought a third window in a row when LB was one of our top priorities yet it isnt addressed. Enrique will be happy to have the chance to stick two fingers up at his doubters (mainly his boss) and solidify his role beyond this season. Verdict: Short on cover should Enrique get injured again, Bassong or Ryan Taylor could fit in to cover, the question would then be whether we can afford to lose them from elsewhere in the team. RW: Geremi, lua lua (Jonas, R.Taylor, Duff) Strangely the three players who would consider a different position as their best are our best bets for RW. Geremi is largely useless for us now, Lua Lua is untested. Ryan Taylor is very much at home there but might find himself at RB. Jonas and Duff are interchangable. Verdict: Should be covered, but dont be suprised to see alot more of Lua Lua. CM: Nolan, Butt (Geremi, Smith, Colo) Whilst you could argue there is little point thinking the guys in brackets could play there, we may not have a choice. Supsensions or injuries to Butt or Nolan and we are piss weak again. Verdict: Along with the defence our soft centre could well be the cause of our demise. We cannot afford to get Nolan injured and can only hope Guthrie and Barton race back to fitness quicker than expected. LW: Duff, Jonas (R. Taylor, Lovenkrands) Hopefully one of our strongest areas despite the lack of numbers. Verdict: Should be fine, of course now all four players will pick up knocks! CF: Lovenkrands, Ameobi (Martins, Carrol, Smith) The talent upfront is locked away in there apparently, whether we can see it or not who knows. Hopefully Martins gets fit and stays that way. Verdict: A blunt attack but we have bodies, whether that is enough to get us goals we shall see. Overall Verdict The odds are against us, that is a place JFK likes being, but we cant afford any more injuries or gutless performances, I do think with what we have we will see lots of fight but I dont know we will have the talent or end product in equal measure. Going to be a tough run to stay up and we need some big performances from everyone.
  23. must be about time for Sky Sports to go live to SJP to see all the mongs with pitchforks and flaming torches storming the ground.
  24. So would that be Mike Ashley's fault on Dennis Wise's? Edit: I realise it's probably not even true. No would be the fact we bothered giving him a medical when he has been and is out indefinately with a groin strain.
