  1. Thanks, sounds promising. not so much for edgar mind. should see the end of damage though.
  2. Any chance of pasting the article out? stuck to using my mobile at work.
  3. coming to a black and white shirt near you...jan 2008.
  4. Rumours round the swindon game today that the Swindon player has signed. Dont know anything about him other than what you can find on the net. Signed for Swindon from Plymouth in the summer (2007) Turned heads playing Charlton of the park. (great sign ) Plays LB but apparently is versatile. Has been on trial at Everton, but looks like we have beaten them and a couple of other sides to his signature. Wiki says he will sign for 1.1m + a few clause payments, who knows who put that on there though.
  5. Happy to rate them properly at the end of the season, most players havent even got close to getting into their stride and next to none of foreign signings have had time to adapt. Beye is looking like a duck to water though. I expect Roz to pick up the pace eventually, Cacapa will be a rock with faye. Barton is getting better, Smith hasnt been great so far but hasnt been settled into one position. Geremi has been the most dissapointing so far Enrique needs more time, looks good though, like Roz and cacapa will be good once settled. Viduka hasnt played enough, needs to stay fit, but looks good when he has been fit, doesnt quite look sharp enough (for obvious reasons) the rest of the time.
  6. Apparently he has signed for us, if the noises from the Swindon game today are true? 17 and supposed to be a decent prospect. Seems to be a little like the situation with the young french striker we have supposed to have signed.
  7. Does his release and the rumours going round swindon that we have signed their top prospect LB hold any coincidental salt?
  8. Well that depends on how well capello and baldini do there respective jobs.
  9. Thats pretty funny reading. probably written by the same spaz that endorsed englands steve mcclaren.
  10. Well at least its the first time in years ive been vaguely excited by anything to do with the england team. neither cappello or lippi will just pick player because of their name or club they play for.
  11. Looks like cappello. will be interesting to see if either can take the press circus. can see another sven in both of them.
  12. I love Beye..... Agreed Someone feeling a bit Beye-sexual? Was gutted when it looked like we missed him early in the summer, but delighted we got him in the end, he is a beast and will be great the more he plays in the premiership. Likewise with Cacapa, although he is winding down. I think Rozehnal will also work out, but he is too lightweight at the moment and hasnt settled immediately, its hardly suprising we have been at sixes and sevens so much, with such a lack of premiership experience amongst our back four. All the chopping and changing hasnt helped either, its just a shame our previous defence needed so much axing the new guys havent had the proper time to settle.
  13. This...but swap Taylor with Capaca except cacapa is twice the defender taylor is, and would complement faye excellently imo. I disagree tbh the only thing Capaca has on Taylor is experience but not in the pl!Taylors very rarely let us down and is the future of the club!Anyways out of the 3 of them at least 1 will be injured most of the time! :-[ cacapa captained lyon for 6 years, winning 6 leagues. your move. Yeah thats true and a good point but a huge difference between the french league and the pl!Thought Taylor was outstanding tonight!I love the way he plays with such passion and hes good for an odd goal as well! taylor was very good tonight, but he'll just as easily have a stinker and either get sent off or do something s*** and cost us a goal. cacapa is also the better defender. I know which one of them is ahead in the having a stinker, costing us goals count so far this season, and he also has 6 french league titles in 6 years I can remind you of several stinkers Taylor has had this season tbh And the odd goal we have conceded directly as a result of him. Including one ludicrous header that put Cacapa in the s*** against Portsmouth. Cacapa is better. Taylor played well enough tonight. However, he hasnt put in anywhere near the level of performance Cacapa has this season for us during his entire career. In short, your post is short sighted and inaccurate. Taylor still has alot to learn, he looked good on the whole and I was delighted he got us the goal. But he still make stupid errors of judgement that cost us points. Obstructing Adebeyor at the death is a good example that he could have easily been punished for and possibly leaving us in the shit. Cacapa still needs to settle in, but his brain isnt prone to those kind of rookie mistakes, Taylor can sit tight, fill the gaps and learn from those around him, he will soon grow out of it. It doesnt help having years playing round the shit he has been.
  14. Bit like ditching your wife to have a shot at getting jessica alba. then even if you do get a date will you even get on.
  15. Robson almost relegated ipswich in his first season in charge. people forget how manure played in fergies first year. even keegan nearly blew it here. grass is always greener. if people want instant success and fairytales stick to pressing ctrl alt del everytime you lose a match. rafa and jose both had good set ups to continue.
  16. brilliantly taken goal... viduka a proven goal scorer couldn't do the same in virtually the same position ... Martins did well today as did Smith To be fair Viduka isnt half as match fit as martins. I thought he did well today, keeping him fit is the problem, like a fair few of our players.
  17. From the worst of Daglish to the worst of Keegan. Its an improvement though. Gutted we lost this game, it was there for the taking and could have easily gone either way. Cant believe we are still suffering at the back, but its no suprise given how it was patched together today. Rozenhal is still finding his feet in the premiership and needs to toughen, losing Faye was a big blow today. Cant fault the effort today, but lots of work to do at the back. N'Zogbia is doing a good job at LB but he isnt a good LB, we need another LB in January if he doesnt want to play Enrique. Possibly better keeping Roz out of the side whilst he is settling, he isnt up to the pace yet or physicality. Carr didnt actually look too bad today.
  18. I think we know which sam will go with.
  19. Sam is using tactics that he has employed to great effect at his former sides. he is doing this because for him it is the best way of getting results until he finds a system and team that works best for us. its Dangerous but in theory he should be safer with these tactics. but its taking far too long for the players to adapt to it with poor results and confusion. now its the crunch time, does sam stick with what he knows and hope it clicks or change what clearly isnt working to appease.
  20. maybe bez should stick to playing championship manager and leave the criticism to people that have been there and done it. just going back to 442 isnt going to magically solve things. the players look unfit. un motivated, un organised and tactically unaware. not to mention the fact 442 just wont cut it against some sides. unfortunately criticism like this also normally only makes managers with egos to stick harder with their tactics.
  21. Just the kick up the arse blackburn needed for saturday!
  22. Yeah it is a tad annoying but dont we get more games than they do back in the motherland? seemed to get more for your money on the broadband deal but i dont think my laptop could handle it!
  23. Any chance of changing it to loser by beck?
  24. Should we get rid of anyone in January. Several different answers really... ..There are a few players I'd love to get rid of but will or can we replace them properly? comes down to whether they are actually doing the club any harm. If they are making trouble amoungst the squad than yes. But id rather we kept them until the summer if there is going to be little problem keeping them until then. The squad isnt big enough at the minute. Come the summer its a different matter, Carr, Babayaro, Ameobi, Ramage, Pattison will all be out the door without much doubt.
