If you saw the champions league game, he had 0 concerns over the occasion - while he probably should have done better with this 1 v 1 it was a tighter chance and Oblak did well to rush him. Every other time he had the ball he was decisive and direct. Nearly scored the equalizer at the death too. Id 100% say this kid is fearless.

don’t forget more “confirmation” on sela and adidas deals too… A new shirt sponsor in Saudi Arabia events company, Sela, brings in £25 million a year, a huge increase on the previous deal with betting firm Fun88, which was worth less than £8 million a year. The club have also dramatically improved the income from their shirt manufacturing deal, terminating their existing contract with Castore, to move to Adidas from the start of next season. The German company is going to pay around £40 million a year, which dwarfs the sums received from Castore.

There’s just not any room in the midfield setup once all are fit unless we sold one of Willock, Joelinton, Anderson or Longstaff. I don’t see any reason we’d do that. This is the way we’ll be setup for some time. If we’re signing another midfielder it’s going to be one who’s firmly a 6 and is young and will get very little minutes. If I’m looking at the squad right now for strengthening in Jan it’s backup striker and Right Wing. Jamaal’s current form makes that need at CB completely unnecessary until the summer.
