  1. Which is so factually incorrect. There have been other owners since City who have gone absolutely bananas in the transfer market — Everton!

    Fabian Schär

Also noticed he was back doing his aggressive interceptions thing (remember Leicester away under Rafa?) where, when that version of Schar is on, fuck he’s good.
  3. Bang on mate. 100% agree with you. I can see Howe noticing that Miggy isn’t really a skillful dribbler but his pace and movement can be deadly.
  4. You can see there is a deliberate move they work on when Miggy faces a defender and then plays a ball inside and darts for the 1-2; it nearly came off multiple times today with a goal or assist and it’ll come. I loved his performance, he was fucking dangerous. Was first match of thee season. Think some are way too critical of the first match when something doesn’t come off.

    Callum Wilson

The thing with Callum is that he’s an ultra confident, swaggering alpha of an athlete but he also comes off as a completely likeable guy on and off the pitch with an infectious personality. He’s a clearly a leader within the squad - he banters, smiles, laughs, demands the best, can be a shithouse when he wants to, can bully center backs, can use his pace and movement to get space. We’ve really not had this kind of guy in a long long time. I think the biggest difference between him, Rondon, Remy, Ba, and CIsse is that’s he seems the total package.

    Sven Botman

They saw him make his debut and play 3 mins and at least kick the ball! Nah the atmosphere and win, perfect stuff for them to see.
  7. they all are like good-ish attackers but none of them stand out from one another
  8. We needed a match at home like this today to start our season. We’ve often played so bad first 4/5 games and of course the atmosphere around the club had always been so damn toxic. But we put in a fantastic shift, dominated and every player ran their hearts out and played together. The fans were together, we have a few weeks to bring in more quality. If we can start the season on a run, oh man the crowd and the swell of our home and away support with Eddie Howe in charge can really get things buzzing!
  9. his headers are comically soft off corners

    Joe Willock

Really like him, always have and he looks confident and assertive in what he does.

    Fabian Schär

When he controlled the ball and turned and looked up, I said to my wife “He smells blood in the water, he’s taking a hit” and then BOOM, what a goal. That period where basically we nearly scored a few times, you could feel the goal was coming and the players were getting more ruthless, they sensed it too. Just something we didn’t see for a long time, even late last season.
  12. He’s too fucking good
  13. Good post mate, but i do really disagree on on struggling to break them down — they packed the box and stuck everyone behind the ball but what I found quite refreshing was the patience on display around the box. We were trying quick pass and move, give and go’s, decoy runs, slide in to the by-line, crossing, through balls or quick over tops to the wingers to get something in. In the past we sat around doing fuck all and then would take shots. I don’t want us to be a strictly counter attacking team because I genuinely do like seeing our guys figuring out and trying new things. Second half you could see clearly Howe let Miggy, Maxi, and Willock free and they were very fluid in attack. It took a worldie from Schar to finally get ahead but I was hugely impressed overall with how we approached it.
  14. Add in 1 real top top quality attacking player in either mid or out wide and we’ll be purring. Could really use a pacy alternative to Wilson too, imo.
  15. Not sure how anyone here could say a negative word about any of those performances today.- it was the first match of the season and we pummeled them. We suffocated and dominated and pushed and tried different ways to get that ball into the box. We were patient at times - working the ball around the box and trying to drive in and deliver crosses etc. Sure, a few rolls across the box to Wilson and we’d have been free and clear but the fact we are constantly and finally passing and moving is fantastic. Miggy is a fucking handful! Willock was floating all over the pitch and trying to make things work. Bruno and Joelinton were dominant. I loved the effort. We looked confident, the crowd did not get on their backs and get frustrated either. We’re going to be a force at home ffs.
  16. I love how old school craven cottage is
  17. i know they were friendlies but the manner in which we showed for ourselves versus Benfica, Atalanta, and Bilbao was huge for me.
  18. Hate to break it to you but much of what you know and see today is probably wrapped up in some sort of fund like nearly every single version of a digital lock or similar product is owned by this massive Swedish conglomerate. They own nearly every competitor to its own product now. It’s mad.
  19. 8-10 with with current squad. Will post again once the window SLAMS shut.
  20. They recently announced fund with over 10 billion in commitments. They raise capital in those funds via or pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, public companies, high net worth family offices etc from all over the world they often announce what that fund will invest in too via the exact companies or types of industries. It’s about as normal as any private equity group out there.
  21. Wish people would spend 5 minutes. Including journalists and learn about who owns what or who invests in what. They would be shocked. Once they get over that shock theyll stop being such fucking idiots and fannies creating non stories. Do the proper research.
