Just so everyone remembers, Bruno played the deep role for Lyon. I’d still like to see a specialist DM type but Bruno more often than not is the deep midfielder prior to joining us.

Fuck it, I’ll say it. Lodi as LB, Kamara as DM, Bruno as the 8, Paqueta as the opposite left sided attacking mid. Joelinton wide left. Wilson or new ST up the middle. Wide right with Lingard or Raphina. Balanced as fuck that team. Trip overlapping on the right. New CB next to Schar.

Kamara and Lingard on a free would be class. Just randomly throw them into the team today — Kamara in midfield and Lingard wide right and we’re quickly improved and massively.

Burn is a good player, but he’s a backup at best for me. I really like him and think he’s kind of class when he’s putting in his shift. But there’s a damn good reason why we were linked with 30m+ CBs in Jan.

Honestly, not a single issue with any of those who I’d hope to leave. All played a purpose at some point, all gave it their all in the worst of times for us under MA. Sell for whatever we can, mutual terminations if need be, pay down contract etc. Get it done.
