A CB like Clark can get a job done in the PL for quite some time and even at lower levels. A player like Ritchie and Shelvey, not so much.

A quiet, solid PL defender who either sees his contract out with no fuss in whatever order he ends up in or he's sold for a decent amount of money to a club around us or in the Championship. This one is actually a sensible extension IMO.

I’m glad the PL took it upon themselves to protect us. How noble of them. A completely liquid investor from a sovereign wealth fund and British billionaires unable to buy the club but a highly leveraged buyout with Burnley’s cash accounts used as equity is ok. Glad they protected us. How noble of them. We’re easily in a better position today than we would have been with our potential investors.
