  1. If it was very clear they’d buy us no matter what and had agreed a relegation price, I’d feel better about everything.

    Joelinton

You can’t blame him for that - he beat the keeper. Saiss blocked it.
  3. Let’s boil it down to the bare minimum here - We all want a club to be proud of and support. Some of us want to be taken over by someone who will take care of the club and build it and some of us would love for it to be the current consortium. This place is tired of MA, tired of Bruce, Lee Charnley, the shite moves in the transfer market or lack there of. We’re sick of being pointless. We’re over having aging and dated facilities...Tired of this all. I know for sure most people on here would rather be talking about football, tactics, players, etc. not ownership and forensic analysis of Middle East politics or a case against Barclays, fuck all of that. So from that lens, cut those who are trying to find optimism or a glimmer of hope in what are difficult times beyond football and cut those who are not as optimistic and harbor caution some slack. Everyone needs to take a step back. This whole thing is tearing this place apart and it’s become quite a repetitive and cringe place when it’s the same people having a go at each other. Be kind, chill the fuck out. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

    Callum Wilson

he says he's through and through, yet you still have to question him
  5. Given you are well respected and highly connected sports journalist attached to major UK paper, can you please find out the sources or comps the judge used in #19, #20, #21 to come up with the probability %'s? I read that entire document and I'm not sure how you come up with the second part of your sentence without being incredibly lacking in ability to understand debt financing and legal judgements. Perhaps stick to what you know best? Perhaps try not to be such a misogynist?
  6. I get the impression Jamie would be game for it, but obviously he’s not holding the purse strings. I know the Reuben family is investing a ton of money in real estate around the world right now and what I'm not exactly sure of is if Jamie is a RB rep for the consortium or if he's doing it alone.
  7. The Reubens don't need any partners but I wish they really wanted to throw it all behind a football club (and it was us) because we'd have been bought and been without Bruce and all of this mess for a very long time. but it's clear as day they don't have the desire to be an outright owner of a football club.
  8. aye, but let's keep Bruce in the job because that is what is best to protect the value of my PL club.
  9. Aye and the local media said the club learned from its mistakes and thought all of us were crazy to be up in arms over Bruce taking over Rafa. But give him time they said. It’s unfair. It’s not right. He’s not that bad. Oh and Luke can try and give some stats and try and prove his point by deflecting blame and never asking the right question. You’ve got former players like Jenas who played with us when we were a top side and forgetting what we were etc. It all can fuck off. Every one of those who tried to tell us to accept this shit to the ones who still do. One day when this thing finally is over and we finally are sold, the nightmare will end. Until then, it’s just a fucking painful circle on repeat. We were on the verge of being taken over by an ambitious and cash rich owner and those greedy cunts blocked it and nobody actually really cares about us but our own.

    Graeme Jones

Yep, saying we'd never try some of this stuff if Jones wasn't there.
  11. We’re going to get relegated. Only reason we won’t is out of pure luck via maxi, Wilson and a takeover with manager change.
  12. Any pundit or writer telling us to calm down needs sacking. Fuck off.
  13. That stat table doesn’t make much sense. If anything should only be managers under Mike Ashley in the table. And then managers under previous ownership as another table.
  14. Rafa asked him to come out more, play lower, etc. he seems better and more comfortable playing deeper and being higher in his stance. Rafa used the example of Pepe Reina. Freddie’s dad didn’t agree and had a different thought on how to play the position. Freddie said that there are so many different ways to play it etc.
  15. If we were going to keep the same system then you play Joelinton or Fraser where Wilson was. If not, you change the system to get the best out the players available so that probably means Gayle as CF and ASM, Fraser as wingers. Almiron as a 10. Willock and Hayden in midfield. Fucking simple eh?
  16. If the stage is set for Rafa under all the right circumstances he's coming back in a heartbeat and getting to work.

    Kevin Keegan

Sport in general was different then. It won’t ever be replicated again with such romantics.
  18. all good timing when he's having to break that our best CB, best RB and best ST are all hurt for 8 weeks.
  19. To me you loan him out constantly and keep paying him to be ok with that arrangement until he’s ready for the starting role. I’d even pay a club to take him on loan and look after him tbh. Under proper owners.

    Jeff Hendrick

He doesn’t do anything with much intention besides foul people. Go figure.

    Callum Wilson

Better than Loic for me, better attitude and more likeable. Seems to enjoy himself. Demba on top, of course. Remy was such a weird player. Had so much ability but just seems to have been forgotten as a PL player, not even sure if he achieved that much in France considering how highly regarded he was at one point. I never really trusted him after he turned us down to go to QPR, and think that will always colour my view of him. Just seemed to lack any real ambition. So weird he chose QPR given he genuinely had a team full of French lads who could help him settle, not saying they would have all been mates mind you. Feel like I read they heavily recruited him too. He probably was sold the same pitch - sign for QPR or Newcastle with the view that you will leave within a year or two to a bigger club. So he chose the money and London over Newcastle.
  22. We need to stay up as I think that's the cleanest way this club ever gets sold. I know Bruce ain't going to be here past a sale. So hopeful we play like we did at Everton so we can enjoy some football, stay up without much stress and get Ashley, Charnley, Bishop, Bruce and his band of fuck-heads out the club. Then a nice-clear out of players who shouldn't be part of the new club.
