    Callum Wilson

How dare Callum go see a top tier physio he is personally comfortable with in whatever city that person may be (even Bournemouth) that the club likely approved to rehab his injury to return as quickly as possible to save this club from relegation.
  2. Weirdo cunt is still better than Bruce.
  3. If we got taken over, new owners, bring that man in.
  4. Shelvey would have been gone had he not played flawlessly with Diame on the back end of the first season back with Rafa and was getting some calls to be in the England team. I think it ultimately led to Merino thinking he had to leave, unfortunately.
  5. The Mrs: "Set the mood, will ya?" *Robster pops in the 1992-1993 commentary and review cassette*
  6. Gio, Weston, Pulisic and Dest are probably the stars of the team .... would throw Adams into that if he could stay fit, Mensah is a huge one and hopefully the shite storm at Valencia doesn't ruin him.
  7. only a moron like lee charnely would put into a contract that you still have to pay out a perennial shite manager a fee to terminate his contract when he's in a relegation battle.
  8. team looks like it could be really bloody good at Qatar.

Matty would have been there if he left us.

Given where we are and how we’re feeling - they just finally got taken over and won a shite pizza sponsored cup. Still more exciting than our impending doom unless the pl decide to allow us the joy of a takeover. At the very least they get to at least dream about the future and have some hope. What do we have? Nothing, because our path to bright future has been blocked and we don’t have any idea if or when that happens and if it doesn’t we may be stuck with our 3rd season with Bruce as manager and more hatred of our club.
  11. Play Murphy and Fraser on the wings. Gayle or Carroll as the Striker. Replace the worse performer with Maxi on the wing and drop Wilson in as striker. Play Almiron as the 10 or Willock there until Almiron is fit. Play Hayden and Willock as the CMs and when Willock is playing as a 10, play a Longstaff. I’d also be perfectly ok with Ritchie playing a wing as he’s the type of character you need right now to take the challenge head on.
  12. Yeah, it's grim. It'll change one day, for better or worse. Who knows. As long as their is hope wherever we are, however shit we are I don't care. This football club is the lifeblood of a city and whatever the media says it is different to a lot of clubs. The stadium casts its shadow across the city, on matchday the city is just about football. So many people rely on this income, from idols back in the day, the burger vans, the strawberry to the blokes selling Chronicles and many, many more besides. This city at its heart lives and dies by this football club. Mike Ashley hasn't just ruined a football club and many thousands of people's love of football. He's also fucked a city to an extent. If the takeover goes through then it will be one of the best things that has happened to our city since the grants and investments in the 90's from the government. It's a heavily under invested region and we have been offered significant investment in not only the football club because it's clear why the Reuben brothers are involved. The PL have blocked the takeover but the question should be not if PIF can invest in NUFC, but if the premier league has the right to block such investment in a region as they have done. Top post.

    Lee Charnley

I honestly find his role in all of this to be even more of an embarrassment given he's been part of the place dating pre MA, he knows exactly what this club is capable of and although he has risen to the role of MD, he's in over his head, has gotten it wrong 99% of the time and his ability to negotiate anything favorable to the club is non-existent. He's shite.
  14. It’s negligent. It’s the club’s own money. He wasn’t asking for MA to pour over and above.
  15. Always wondered if we were going to sign him from Montpellier after he was running the show as their #10. I had this low-key dream that we'd have Ba as our CF, Belhanda as our #10, Hatem at RW and Remy as our LW. Cabaye and Tiote at CM.

    Joelinton

You don’t need any type of quality manager to tell you how to kick a ball properly. I firmly believe that Joelington coming was the last straw for Rafa who publicly came out and said he was worth nowhere near the money involved. The bloke is absolute garbage. Just seemed like MA chose Joelinton over Rafa, more or less.

    Joelinton

I hate to write this but this lad, and not his fault, is probably the reason Ashley chose to not keep Rafa. So again, hate to say it but I’ll probably never change my opinion on him unless Rafa somehow comes back.
  18. I loved that season’s Kennedy. Thought we really unlocked a player who had work rate, creativity, and just about everything to be a top player. Fuck even that version of Ritchie too.
  19. Basically agree with everything you have said, apart from the final paragraph. History sides with you, 100% - but haven't a clue how his mindset will be after this cost and fatigue of this current challenge for the PIF sale. I do wonder given he seems desperate to see it through with this buyer, that if, he does win the case in their favor and is able to sell to them - he will be open to structuring any type of deal that would include 1) sell at reduced price 2) additional payment if promoted or something. Again, history says why think this Kanji? The difference is this time, he's literally finger tips away from being tight with a sovereign wealth fund that is a complete gamechanger for his retail ambitions.
  20. Whitley mag[/member] are you saying that the full 300m is sitting in escrow right now? it's a lot different to say the deposit is still in escrow; which would be standard in any type of transaction.
  21. The pundits can say what they want, it’s not going to matter to Ashley et al.

    Mike Ashley

But the league is more worried about the KSA being a shadow director of Newcastle and having influence on the club at any whim - so it must protect us the fans from this. However it’s ok with the Mike Ashley, the absentee owner who is taking them to court and talking shit about them to continue to carry on owning a club in the mighty PL. Mike has spent nothing in the region, has not improved the club, has no ambition to make it any better but he’s apparently more fit, more proper to own us than pif.
  23. Agree with all the shit Edwards gets. But can we stop insulting people for being bald all the time on here? See it all the time. I'm not bald but I know people that are and it's not something people can help. There's plenty of reasons to have a go at people like Edwards and Charnley etc. Being bald isn't one of them. George Costanza doesn’t deserve to be in the same bracket as those cretins
