The 40m player that probably led to Rafa leaving. Seemed Mike Ashley was so fixated with this Joelinton deal he didn't want to deal with Rafa anymore.
-
Club has treated Atsu like such shit man.

Wonderful squad planning again. If he was smart, he'd continue with Hayden in holding midfield being able to drop back into center defense as needed. He should either toss in an academy or reserves lad to play CB or drop Krafth in there. Manquillo needs to continue playing RB and Ritchie should easily slot into LB. Midfield needs rotation - he should play 2 of Matty, Anderson, Sean, or Shelvey. Willock should start but I assume he'll have him on the bench. Miggy as the 10. Fraser or ASM next to Wilson.

I think Dubravka commands the box better (his high catch is incredible IMO) and is generally better at distribution.
-
Annoyed Fraser didn’t round the keeper who charged out and rooted.
-
Has it ever actually worked? (The moronic striker thing he continues to do?) I’m not a football manager but surely the move is being on Matty or Anderson for Hendrick. Bring on Saint Maxi for Fraser. Bring on Joelinton for Almiron or something and keep or adjust the players to stay in the diamond? If diamond is not the formation then keep a semblance of a midfield with fullbacks.
-
Could Fraser play in Hendrick's role? Or I say get Matty on there and have a bit of a go before giving Le Saint on the pitch at the 55-60 min mark?
-
Clark or Hayden should be captain if Lascelles is not on the pitch, IMO.

NCSL, who whoever is running/paying for it, does NOT need to play the martyr role of getting free reign to 1) get into twitter arguments with fellow fans, 2) try and call out a NE journalist who wants the same as us, and 3) hide behind being "too old" for twitter. I don't care how much personal money is spent on the case, it doesn't mean a single thing if you're going to treat others like shit or try to use it as a "what have you done for the club?" barometer.

Dub for Darlow, Hoogz

If we're playing that same system we played against Everton then the best setup would have ASM and Wilson as front 2, Miggy as the #10, Willock and 1 of Shelvey, Longstaff (S/M), Hendrick in the other position with Hayden sitting. If you wanted to get super aggressive you stick Fraser and Willock in there and just bloody see what happens

the thread title is incredible right now.

Looked very dangerous in the first 2 seasons back in the PL when Lejeune was playing on the left side of center defense and hitting the long diagonal balls to him. As far as the quickest, i think it's between him and Sissoko in the modern team(s). Those Dummet speed clocks can't be real

He flew all the way out to turkey and there is confusion on the tax and take home pay?? Christ.
-
It’s like he took Rafa’s words to heart and didn’t forget them at all.
-
100%. If you add the weekly wages between now and the summer and what they could be paying for him, I’m sure the delta is not that high.
-
Actually kind of low key liked Cabella, such a weird player.
-
I think there’s of course a price for each player but Ritchie has been a pretty stellar servant to the club and wants to end his career back down at Bournemouth and get some playing time too. The club apparently holding out for a little extra quid is poor behavior once again.
-
He wanted to basically play here for Rafa or be around Rafa until probably ending his career back home in Seattle. He was quite settled in the region, and spoke glowingly of the people, fans etc from what I’ve heard. Rafa changed his career, made him into something and had him playing his best football for club and country. He had the arm band for a bit tbh. As a fellow American it was always really cool to hear randoms say they adopted our club because of Yedlin. As crazy as that may be to some of you freaks and weirdos. Wish him all the best, he was one of Rafa’s guys and will always have utmost respect to those who played their hearts out and gave us something to enjoy, cheer and bring us back some hope — even if it was cut too short.

The question is would any other of the clubs from mid-table (and probably lower down also) up offer new contracts to Clark, Shelvey or Ritchie - the answer would be a big no. It's why this club is a total mess. Absolutely. Clark Yedlin Gayle Shelvey Ritchie Were all on the way out under Rafa. Keep the squad full of shit, don't replace and stand still them while other clubs inch forward is our mantra. Not sure Clark was on the way out under Rafa, mind. I seem to remember he'd staked a claim as a solid squad player and one of 2 CBs to reliably cover the first choice 3. I got the impression Rafa was very happy with those 5 covering the 3 CB positions. That’s how I recall it too. He was considering it but Clark came in and did very well again and Rafa decided against it.
