And spending 100m on two strikers who maybe get you there at various points of their age in careers seems like throwing money at bad situations given the PSR rules. It’s not like we can just say nah let’s take another punt on another striker next summer if we make those decisions - we aren’t a cartel club.

The transfer request still means fuck all. We still need an offer that we deem acceptable and need to sign 2 strikers we actually want.

Do you know how often goal scorers hit 20 in a league season? Over the last 10 years it’s been 3 players on average who get 20 in a season. Kane and Salah have done it 6 times, Haaland 3 times, Aguero 3 times, Isak twice, Vardy twice, 10 others 1 time. It’s incredibly difficult to do. Last season there were 5 players to do it and for the 6 seasons to last it was 2 or 3 players only.
