  1. He really wasn’t when he’s at Bournemouth. You got to hope he has learnt a lesson.
  2. That should be the work of Dan Ashworth. I think he did have some progress but obviously once he had gone, no one else really took up this part and just let it rot
  3. I don’t know why, may be it’s not intended, but doesn’t the article sounds like, all those stuff (retaining Willock, EPL target with tax etc) are Howe’s idea and now the board decide to go for other direction? May be I am over sensitive but it smell like the start of the blaming game.
  4. And if Shahar is rlly that shit that once he’s on the pitch we will concede, fine. Get a loan RB at January FFS the whole situation is insane
  5. yea how about when Tino was still injured? Trippier for 90 mins consecutively for how many matches? You really expect a 35 years old right back to survive Howe’s pressing tactic for so many games? Thats a very ridiculous handling of squad management to me. You can disagree.
  6. 1. Shahar is already the most outstanding candidate from the youth team, he fucking deserves a chance, if he is not ready then no one else is ready. 2. What’s the point to NOT try when Trippier is dying out there? 3. Imagine you are the youngsters. The best of the youth team got selected for the bench warming role only. No chance given even if the club is short of players. The first thing coming into your mind is not to work harder, but to ask your agent to find an exit route. And if I am the parents, I would also tell my son to join other clubs for a better chance. You need to show the potential candidates that they would get a chance in the future in order to attract them. You might not have a Gascoigne in your youth team that you can plug and play now, but by building up your reputation, you can attract the next Gascoigne to join and play for you in the future. If you really want to have a good youth team to support your long term growth, you need reputation to attract talents from all over the world, and not just rely on geordies that naturally born as the club fan like Longstaff and Miley family. This is not youth development. This is just praying for luck.
  7. It’s also not rocket science that if you don’t give them game time to develop they won’t make it. Look at Anderson’s progress at Forest. It’s a weak argument. Give me a reason why we need to run Trippier to the ground and not giving Shahar any minutes.
  8. i would rather imagine we have a competent defence

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

So you are fine with the current setup that Howe has the final say on transfer? You serious?

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Howe should have no say on transfer. Thats a correct decision. If he is not fine with it and wants to retain his power then we should find someone else
  11. Understandable tbh. We are due a rebuild period.
  12. The only positive I can think of is we can give the new manager time to evaluate the squad and start the summer transfer planning. But then I can’t think of a good candidate now, I admit it. the problem is if we choose to stand by Howe, we need to give him funds this summer, which is, we all know, fucking risky. and if the funds are spent while the form next season is still as disastrous as now, we will have no choice but to sack Howe, and then tell the new manager that sorry he has no funds for a few years to rebuild the team. ahhh….
  13. I was a bit surprised by that tbh. Sesko debatable, Mbeumo and Cunha both are fucking great this season
  14. I don’t know where the benchmark line should be, the Howe last few season or this season? I don’t think we can find a better manager that can lead this team to win the League Cup and qualify for ECL last season. I also think there are quite a lot of managers that wouldn’t make this season end up like this. Double by the Scums. That’s really a fucking low line. So I don’t know how to answer that question
  15. To be fair I think we should really consider giving him permanent ST position if we won’t change our playstyle next season.
  16. Surely even if we are finding replacement for Isak last summer, we could still broker a deal for another back up RB and LB? And also find a defensive mid (the no. 6) if Howe wanted to? Just like Kaka mentioned it just cost 25m euro for a decent one in the market. I cried for reinforcement for the both full back position the whole summer. I prayed for a loan at January. And in the end we still give Trippier most minutes and Halls only backup is Burn. What in the actual fuck is this? If it’s Howe who decided the current defence lineup is good enough and not a priority to reinforce (except Thiaw), then sorry I think he is fully accountable for this collapse. seriously how can you have a good league record when you are the team that conceded most in Europe?
  17. And again why blame the strikers? I mean there are really a lot of people saying failed to sign a direct replacement for Isak is the cause of this years collapse. is it though? If that’s the case we should have a lot of draws and our scoring record should be shit. And no. We all know this isn’t the case. you can say we failed to buy a great striker that can bail out Howe when he is in trouble. You can’t say Howe’s failure this season is down to not having another Isak. It’s the defence (or the approach, attitude, whatever) that caused us having a double derby loss in a season. How can you accept we concede 2 goals to this fucking shit Sunderland?

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

just put him in your ignore list if some offend you personally
  19. The subs today is ridiculous. I mean it does look like he is out of ideas and just praying Osula and Wissa to make something happen

    Joe Willock

You can say this sub is the reason we lose the game

    Nick Woltemade

Something I can’t understand is people sounds like Woltemade starting upfront is the cause of our failure in pressing and defence. I keep on reading this for a few months already - while the real downturn of our defence record and league position began when Woltemade was benched at Dec and subsequently not allowed to play upfront again.
  22. We played our best pressing formation with all pacey players deployed already
