Elanga is the type of winger Howe like. Lightning fast, excellent work rate and tactical discipline. He also has the tools to beat opponent by dribbling, although not elite. He won’t be an elite winger but he could evolve like Gordon and become a very solid starting RW. As long as we don’t pay over 35m then this is a very good move imo. Even if we fail to get the best out of him, we could still sell something like 25m next year which under PSR rules is just breakeven
-
Elanga is possible and logical. 35m sounds about right too. But Nunes? What?
-
Elanga, if at acceptable price range, is a good addition. Likely can recoup some value a few years later too.
-
by blocking Alex Murphy loan, pretty sure we are done for that position now just see whether they could bring a new RW or Trafford
-
The management has been doing a fucking shit job since January and we are finally at a point that most of us can see this, after failing such a crucial window that determines the future of most of our purple patches, and of course, Howe
-
Seriously, it is just ridiculous, unbelievable, unimaginable. I mean, what Howe / Mitchell is doing is (I don’t fucking care who made the decision), ALL the deals happening / happened to the clubs that are on par or lower than us, are deemed to be not good enough / not fit for purpose, and thus we won’t go for any of them. Guehi (or several other targets which we even don’t know exist or not), is the only one that “fit our criteria” All hail Guehi.
-
No, not good enough per Mitchell / Howe / whoever
-
There is not even one occasion that Guehi looks like want to leave CP, if I am being honest
-
I do think it’s worth to loan Chalobah now. At least got a cover
-
Add Murphy/Almiron to the list please
-
We definitely bid 50m for Olise. There must be at least 50m available, no matter what
-
that’s a way to read it. Another way is “without the spirit we are going to deep shit and so “no matter what” we have to be united”
-
The logic doesn’t stand. Ok it is difficult to bring in someone better than the aging Schar. Ok. how about Murphy/Almiron?
-
Strange quote to be honest
-
if PSR is an issue then we should try to do delayed deals like the Hall one, or simply no bidding right from the beginning It further strengthen the claims that we have limited our targets to the extreme and hence kinda backfired
-
Pretty sure it’s related to outgoings, likely loans
-
Just wonder if we are one of the focus at the deadline day live
-
If Michell / Howe is willing to look elsewhere we should already finish our business and talking about the Spurs game.
-
Yea, which is why I feel very frustrated. Basically we are at a point where Howe either perform a magic to save our season, or he would be gone and we need to find our next manager 10 months later. This shouldn’t be the case.
-
Suddenly got a feeling that we would have some surprise today. Probably because yesterday was too disastrous Just one CB would do it. Please Mitchell.
-
I would say it’s a level higher than that. Lack of coordination, communication, and planning as a whole. Dan is a fucking cunt, but his role is still very important, which the club should have delegate or reassign his job duty to someone or different personnel to ensure the club continues to function properly - which to me, surprisingly, didn’t happened. Some of the decisions looked disjoint or made without considering long term impact. Like what you mentioned, you believed that the club would bring in a new RW hence willing to let Minteh go to solve the PSR problem. That’s a logical plan, but it turned out didn’t exist. We all knew Man Utd’s interest in dirty Dan for long, probably back at last Oct/Nov. We should have better preparation for the whole fiasco

Scroll it back to Jan. The quality of management started deteriorating since Jan when Ashworth started his leave. Now probably you would agree with what I said re mismanagement of PSR.
