I would say since Howe finally tried Gordon as RW, and Trippier likely to stay, a new CB has higher priority over a new RW.

He and Almiron played well because of Trippier. Thats what I think people missed out most. Livra is good but in terms of attacking he isn’t Trippier level. Before last Dec Trippier is still world best RB in terms of attacking and I ain’t kidding. We need a new RW if Livra is our RB. Simply as that.

You are also right. I forgot to add, our right side in trouble now as well. I still remember how we played like before Trippier joined. Trippier is the first, and till now still the most transformational transfer we made during PIF era. May be we should find a new hot lass for Trippier so he can leave the pain behind and focus on football again

I would prefer Guehi / a new CB over a new RW, but I am actually gambling on Trippier able to back to his normal standard. The CB / RW debate imo is in fact which one you think would decline a lot this season that you want replacement asap, Schar or Trippier. Almiron and Murphy are hopeless. No discussion needed

We did. He played too many games and he was probably the only two players that could create threats by dribbling himself (another one is Isak). He got the player of the season award due to this. I know many here have doubt re his attitude for our first two games. To me he is now getting Ben Arfa treatment (double-team whenever he got the ball) and also he still looks tired. Imo he shouldn’t get any sticks. However if this continues we would be in great trouble very soon. We need one more winger to share his workload

Last year we relied on Gordon too much. Yes we scored a lot but the opponents now know how to deal with us, and we looked lack of cutting edges during the first two games, until we finally tried Barnes + Gordon and Trippier back to RB. Yes we can carry on this new formation for a while but genuinely speaking we will face the same problem very soon. We all know that. If we don’t sign a RW now, eventually we would still need to do it next Jan

I do wonder how signing Guehi (I.E. replacing Krafth) would prevent us from losing that goal last weekend. No pressing from the front is also not related to Krafth. I got that feeling as well. Tosin + Olise were our moves made in early summer. That should be our plan A. no excuse for not drafting up plan B - E though

He should be unhappy, he doesn’t need to pretend. No matter what the circumstance is, signing Osula as the only reinforcement for this crucial season is a massive fuck up to him.

There are questions to be answered but I don’t think transfer is one of them for Howe. I mean he should be the one that tell the club “please improve CB asap” early in the window, and it is the managements problem to leave it that late. If Guehi has been our top top target this summer, we may just throw 70m back in early July, and allows Guehi to join the pre season training. And, if we didn’t do so, we should have other back up plans, say Inacio Silva Tapsoba etc, that also can give Howe a great help. This must not be what Howe’s want. I genuinely don’t think a manager would say “Guehi or rather no reinforcement”. This doesn’t make sense
