I always think we should give up the League Cup when we are having Euro completion. Not only to Newcastle, but all the teams that qualify for Europe. Other than League Cup we should be trying all of them. The two leg format really makes League Cup the worst in terms of “cost-efficiency”.

yea when we are left with EPL competition only, and he can held his training session again. Howe is the type of manager that needs these extra training sessions for the players. Good or bad - he can make the players playing above their capacity if properly trained, while he also doesn’t have the game management skills we are talking about to cover things up when we don’t have these training sessions due to heavy schedule. I know it sounds a bit silly but can the club or Howe can hire a coach that is excellent in advising him on game management?

Don’t blame PSR, the scouting and decision on Wissa is insane. Anfield this season isn’t THAT hard to get a result. Liverpool is in a mess. Yes we have taken the lead first but generally this is an easy win for the scousers. We tried to outrun them and make it another type of sports but ultimately our weakness has been exposed and our in game management just make it worse. some are not Howe’s fault, like we are left with Trippier. The issue is why Gordon always receive the ball near the midfield line. He isn’t playing like a winger. If that’s his own positioning then it’s his problem. If that’s instructed by Howe then it’s on Howe.

And back in the days when Isaks still here, at the very least, our winger is really playing like a winger, much closer to Isak. Now both Gordon and Barnes play like a midfielder instead. I don’t know why Howe set us up like this - the only advantage is better protection for our full backs I know some of us think “if Isaks here…” which is understandable but imo even if we have Isak yesterday we would still get the same result.
