Aye I still have full faith on Howe to bring us back on track next season as long as he survived this summer. What I concern is the 2027/28 season.
-
I think it’s fair to say he failed twice in the season where we need to play in Europe or ECL. Whether he should have the chance to have a third trial is debatable. I have faith in Eddie to be able to bring us back to top 6 next season. I just genuinely not sure whether the cycle will repeat again and again

We can’t attack and also can’t defend. its really hard to win when we play like this.
-
Depends on who we bring in. Doesn’t make a huge difference if we have more Elanga isn’t it?
-
So subbing out Woltemade doesn’t make sense isn’t it?
-
Oh Jesus Barnes
-
we basically have no free kick specialist, no great crosser except Murphy, no distance shooter except Tonali and Schar, no good dribbler except Gordon, and in general really bad at passing and ball retention and now even need Burn to make suicidal run to bring the ball up
-
Put it simple, we just lack natural football talents
-
He is in the correct position but he couldn’t get the pass so what else can he do
-
Hope it’s just precaution
-
Oh Jesus Pope
-
The trio back to their own positions now
-
Gordon’s mentality is really weak
-
Thats a very arrogant take. Imagine you are a German.

The EPL proven = hit the ground running myth should end forever

No. I ain’t comparing them in the same age, I am comparing them re the top level games played. Kane has been labelled fucking shit weak as piss slow as a cow etc re his first season. It’s when Pochettino arrived and help polished Kanes game that change the history. It’s always the top level game experience that matters most for technical type of players. I still don’t understand why so many people here write Nick off just probably his 2nd season as a striker and 1st in EPL where he already scored 10 goals with 3 months left. Re the last summer transfer, in EPL, Woltemade was regarded as the second best striker just next to Ekitike, better then the likes of Joao Pedro, Delap and Sesko. He is the undisputed starting ST for Germany for the upcoming World Cup, and likely will keep his position for the next ten years. People saying he isn’t as good as the likes of Berbatov or Ibra, without realizing that both players were one of the best in history and currently in the world there is no striker under 25 that can do what Woltemade can do as a ST. And NO is the only place in the world that keep on saying this player has no future as a ST. He should be sold asap. What a shit transfer etc I mean, guys, please, all my friends are laughing at us now. They were jealous 3 months ago that we got such a gem. And now they are laughing at our impatience. And I kinda agree with them. This is fucking ridiculous

Does anyone remember the Harry Kane before his breakout season 2014/15?
-
“Patience” no longer exist here, simply as that.
-
Do people genuinely think we can just buy more Elanga to reach our next level?
-
thats what basically what all the “creators” got criticized during his time here. Even Ben Arfa got these kinda comments. without realizing if they didn’t risk and dare to try, no one else in the team could.
-
I don’t think he can be a midfielder nor he wants to. But then I can also see why Howe is doing that - Bruno is out and we need someone to make progressive pass. And yes, an out of position Nick is already the best option. It just shows how unbalanced our squad is. We have been over-relying on Bruno too much and too long. Back to Nick himself. Once Bruno is back pretty sure this emergency fit would end and he will be back to the ST position or on the bench. I still think the dropping for Wissa at Dec was a terrible move by Howe. Unless Wissa has been a training god before returning, that move probably ruins both striker this season.
-
Doesn’t matter. We need Livramento back for both teams anyway to stand a chance.
-
He has to be better than Neave. He has to.
-
It does look like Gordon as a pressing ST with Nick playing as a shadow striker behind him is the way to go till the end of the season. Not the best idea in the world but if Wissa still struggles like that and Nick still needs time to develop his ST positioning, this is probably the only option left
-
Without Howe’s instruction, Gordon should always take it himself.
