I think we are playing something like this GK RB CB CB LB RM CM CM CM LM ST It’s really a strange formation to me. Howe must have his reasons, but still, it’s really fucking hard to attack if ST is so distant from the midfield.
-
looking back I think Howe’s plan is to cross and aim at Wolte/Joe, hence he wasn’t willing to sub out Joe and play Ramsay I would simply play them both though
-
The fact that so-called EPL proven prime year fit Howe’s style striker Mr Wissa is also struggling, in a way even worse than Nick, is enough to explain the situation or the current problem we are having.
-
I don’t quite get what’s our attacking plan, tbh. Not even a dig at Howe. I really just can’t get it. If our aim is to cross the ball and hope for a header goal then why sub out Woltemade?

To be honest nowadays if you got enough money, you could have a very happy life as a single man
-
I forgot, is there a rumour that the youngest Miley is the most talented?
-
Tips: just put him in ignore list
-
In theory, yes, this is the game that we could give the players some rest In reality, we all know what Eddie would do.

I do wonder how much we can sell Elanga for now
-
he isn’t a must-buy given other positions are even worse, but I agree Series A still have a lot of gems that worth to gamble
-
why? Nickson is just responsible for scouting. It should be the one who decided whom to buy that should be held accountable
-
No, even if we got the so-called first choice targets, only Mbeumo would make a huge difference. It’s the type of players we targeted that’s the problem. We bought players that excelled at physical attributes instead of technical abilities. We are building a team that should be playing high level of pressing and outrun our opponents. So certainly if we don’t play like that we look broken or disjoint. I genuinely didn’t expect Howe to make a u-turn on our tactics. But he did, and even publicly admit it. He must have his reasons. Still, he should do it much earlier before the summer, and we could buy players like Akliouche instead of Ramsay.
-
I think we all know why the contract was not extended for long, until now when he has a poor run of form. The new contract was on the table for nearly a year I guess. We do need him now since Schar and Burn are aging. But honestly we should continue to find someone who is better than Botman. He isn’t good enough or reliable enough to be our long term starting CB.

That’s the question. Progress the squad. Say if we sell Gordon for 70M. Now suggest a player that we can buy from the market that is better than him? Mbeumo = turn us down Semenyo = turn us down Kudus = turn us down and kinda disappointing per my Spurs mate No established / proven winger that is better than Gordon will come here. What’s left is players like N’Diaye that we need to gamble from foreign leagues. Do you think that’s a good gamble? Absolutely no imo.
-
certainly, if our fans are as ridiculous as those in this thread.
-
Back in Brentford days Wissa on left and Mbeumo on the right
-
what the fuck are wrong you guys? Very simple question: if you don’t give Howe players that suitable for plan B, how could Howe suddenly perform magic and adopt a plan B? it’s exactly the reason why we need two strikers that can play differently. It’s an excellent combo which gives Howe options to take. no more “he is not suitable for us” “let’s sell him and get someone that fit our style” bullshit.

Callum Wilson statistics: goals per season per wiki 2020/21 12 2021/22 8 2022/23 18 2023/24 10 2024/25 1 Total 49 goals Wolt 2025/26 (4 months) 9 I rarely say this but you should get out of here
-
It just depends on Schars own will - if he is willing to be a reserve CB then surely he would be here for next season
-
That’s exactly the kind of result/performance that can turn the season around.
-
With Schars injury I don’t think he can get a rest. I know he need.
-
Some fucking insane comments here.

Oh come on. We have been talking about negatives for many weeks already. Surely after a 3 win streak we should be talking about the positives now?

He knows the consequence. It is not a flaw. It’s a declaration of war
