    Alan Pardew

    Got it ALL right today.
  2. This team is a lot better than last year. Shame for the squad depth but the starting eleven are brilliant (excl Raylor)
  3. He is not the next modric, but the next Lampard. Very similar type of player I would say.
  4. It's entirely dependent on how long Ashley is at the club imo. Can't see us bringing him back with him in charge at all, when they burn bridges they burn them good and proper. A new owner comes in and wants to make themselves popular early doors and the timing and the money's right then it would be a go-er. One transfer where bridges certainly weren't burnt from either side IMO. Carroll has never said anything negative about the owners or the club, and think it's the same the other way round (iirc) Ignore the bridges burnt comment then, I think there's zero chance of it happening. Money's the main factor. Agree with that. He won't take a pay cut, and we won't offer anything more than 50k.

Oh yea you're right then from now on let's start a Ashley-lovers club Why didn't you come out and support Ashley before then? Or you just start to think in this way after the unbeaten run in order to "prove" Pardew is a shit manager? Jesus Christ.

I didn't remember Kluivert was SBR's signing. It should be Sheprerd who made the decision, and Kluivert was as slow as fuck as well.

    Alan Pardew

His point is that Pardew is due little credit because: - He has players bought for him. - He has had decisions imposed upon him by injuries. - Good players automatically equals good football. - He didn't bring through the youngsters. - He reportedly wanted to buy inferior players to the players that were bought for him. - Media interaction is easy. And that's why I got the feeling that we should worship Ashley from now on from Pip's argument. Ashley decided the transfer, ordered Carr to find good prospect, invest a lot in youth academy and training pitches, didn't approve Pardew's "inferior players" proposal. He also decided to get rid of Nolan and Barton and open up spaces for the youngsters to step up. Last year he went hardcore towards Saylor, forced him to sign extension and now playing in top form. ?

    Pardew is mint as well
  10. If he isn't fit enough, don't start him.
  11. Drogba is the best modern target man since he has everything. However, if a team wants to play a high tempo, quick, pass on the ground style, then a Rooney/Henry-type "target man" would be preferred over the likes of Carroll or Crouch. I actually think these two superstars redefine the role of target man nowadays.
  12. I think Best did contribute a lot in our building up plays and that's the reason why we were unable to keep the ball on ground once Shola subbed him last nite. On the other hand, Liverpool also failed to do so and keep hoofing the ball to Carroll when he's on the pitch. My question would be, could a team build around Carroll able to build up plays on the ground, probably without any contribution from Carroll? If the answer is no, Carroll would be a liability for any top class teams. He may as well end up at Stoke City lol.
  13. Difficult to say who is a better player. But in terms of goals this season, Best must score more than Carroll. Obviously Best is our main striker with Ba aside supporting him, he would get tons of scoring chances. Carroll, on the other hand, seems limited to be a bench player and his main duty is to set up teammates with headers inside the penalty area instead of finishing them.
  14. He should be a substitute for league games and and a starter for cup games. Obviously he has great deal of potential (whether able to materialize or not) and does deserve more playing time than the likes of Guthrie. I still think 3m is a good deal for him. Not bad as a squad player who can step up for several positions whenever needed.
  15. That said, he looks slower than I expect.
  16. A lot of positives from today. Disappointed for losing 2 points but if we can keep it up, our unbeaten run can extends a lot more.
  17. Yep, give Cabaye a rest. He looks very exhausted after the match. He has run a lot more in England than in France.
  18. Probably have some fitness issues, or else he won't be playing just so few minutes. Very impressive though.

A lot better. Still, cannot be forgiven for letting Shola play. Pardew out!

Hope he doesn't take up an injury. He is so vital now - not only for goals but also for eliminating Shola from the pitch.
  21. You need your head checked. Ridiculous comments. Santon is the best option available nevermind the price. He is a left back FFS, he made his name there and has been starting for Italy at that position as well.

Listen to him, man. Nah, fixed PA 195 would do it Chris.
  23. If he does I will open an official "Pardew Out!" thread. Seconded.
