For all the pisstaking of Wenger, at least he plays the kids that are decent. I hate all of this heirarchy s***. I really haven't seen too much of Sammy and Vukic recently. Didn't realise they were this further along. Loven shouldn't even have a squad number. Complete waste of time. I don't blame Pardew for starting Loven due to hierarchy. But this is the last time.
-
Sameobi and Vuckic are fucking impressive. Together with Obertan and Fergie we really got a bunch of good youngsters. Krul is the new Given, no objection. We could win this. Come on lads.
-
I'd rather play Shola than Best
-
to be fair, Gosling is more useful than Guthrie. At least more involved in the game.
-
What a pass, what a waste.
-
Gosling need his head checked during half time.
-
Fucking hell. We seems urgently need a RIGHT back rather than a left one.
-
There is a reason why Shola started against the mackems. Gosling and Ba, WTF are they doing?
-
What a disgraceful performance.

If we'd offered what the players were valued at in terms of wages and contracts, I believe they'd still be here. You think Nolan & Barton are worth more than staying here on contracts until 2014 on £40-50k do you? Money is never an issue for JH and Dave. Give up.
-
Pardew, Ashley and Llambias are running the club, Barton and his agent are not. Can you not see a difference? If you are going to take the high ground on a moral issue then no I can't. In fact I respect the person who never claimed any moral superiority in the first place. This.
-
Barton didn't look ambitous? Have a word. How did he look ambitious? He's gone from a team who play in front of 45-50k each week, to one that struggles to fill an 18k stadium. One that has barely made the back pages, despite being owned by two of the world's richest men for the past few seasons. He wasn't wanted here anymore. He still hasn't signed the contract there. We'll see but, if he signs there, it won't be because they're better club than we are, but because they have an owner who isn't totally stupid. All the other 18 EPL clubs are stupid as well?
-
I don't understand. So you want Pardew to start a war with Ashley and being shown the door/resigned, no manager will work for Ashley and we are going to relegate again? Is this a tactics to force Ashley to sell the club asap?

Willie McKay is a Scottish football agent based in Monaco. He is the agent of many top-level footballers, mainly based in England and France -specifically the Premier League. His clients include James McFadden, Joey Barton, Henri Camara, Scott McDonald, Jean-Joël Perrier-Doumbé, Charles N'Zogbia, Tyrone Mears, Amdy Faye, Ross McCormack, and Pascal Chimbonda. Is Willie McKay also the agent for Saylor?

I agree we should keep him, especially after such a promising start. I just want to point out that while people are saying that the club suffers most because we lose a squad player for free, I think that Barton could be the one that suffer most instead. Barton would not opt for QPR if there's another option available. His hands are really tied in that sense. I bet he is really regretting the whole drama and outburst in Twitter back in June. I fail to see any parties (except QPR, may be) that get advantage from it. Stupid cunt.
-
Nah, that's a failure. Yes he got a new contract with higher paid, but it is from a s*** club which is hotly tipped for relegation. Who knows what will happen if they relegate? His career has "ended" because there's money left, no achievement nor trophies. Barton definitely has the quality to get those money in any club, say Villa and Everton. He didn't. That's a complete failure. I bet back in June what Barton think was his performance last season could warrant him a place in any clubs in EPL, and thus by doing so many PR things he could either force the club to give him lucrative contracts, or force the club to sell him on a cheap. He nearly did it, if Ashley is not that "hardcore", or other clubs didn't share the same view as Ashley. The fact that only QPR made an offer for Barton is a great, great blow to him, and probably to Willie as well. Think, even those clubs like Bolton, Blackburn or Wolves didn't inquire him when he is available for free. This is "unbelievable" to him and to some of us, but that's the truth and it indicates what the people inside the football industry rate him. That's an interesting way to think about it. Be interesting to see how much he's on at QPR, considering they're pretty flush with their cash at the moment. There is a chance that what QPR offered is even worse than the contract extension we offered last January. I am serious.
-
For someone with tied hands, he's doing pretty well at picking up a pen and signing a contract. Such a moronic stance to take. Imagine yourself in his position. He's clearly not wanted here and has received a decent offer from QPR. Is it not possible that he does want to stay, but realises he needs to do what is best for him in the long-term? I thought it was pretty impressive that he still wanted to stay and wanted to play in the games and did attent training despite he not even had to. Despite the club not wanting him anymore. My viewpoint is the fact that no one make bids for him (before QPR) reminds him that if he can't impress any team this season he would be unemployed and turn out settled for pretty low wages elsewhere. Probably that's how Pardew "encourage" him to play during the first 2 matches.

That's a very bad decision. After such a promising start, we should have a go this season. Barton would be vital to our success even if he would leave for free. Bad, bad decision.

Feels like their 2011-12 season has ended already.
-
No wonder Liverpool paid 35m for Carroll.
-
4 points from Arsenal and Sunderland (away) is the best result we can have. Hope we can sign 2 more players, build on it and have a great season!
-
No problem. No longer want him after dragging on so much. Obviously the club has black-listed him already or else we should have signed him now.

Phil B, not having a go at you personally, so just calm down first. I am not going to argue about whether Dalglish is the right person since it's controversial. What I am saying is, Liverpool isn't financially that strong. You should go back and check your accounts for the last 4 years and see how much loss you have incurred. It's not like you have 50m net profit every year and so the 45m net spent + the new shirt deal means break even. No. My own projection shows that this year you would have a loss over 60m (since no matter what you won't have any Euro competition). That is a staggering amount that you should be really worrying at. Yes if you have built a new squad and this is strong enough to climb back to big4 and possibly challenge for CL next year then ok no problem, excellent work. I can only clap my hands and say fuck off Ashley you cunts. But what if, you can't? Will Henry continue to invest like what Abramovich did, after spending so much after Ranieri's reign? People always forget the it actually took 3 windows and over 150m spend to build the invincible Chelsea under Mourinho. See where the problem lies? I am not saying you are destined for failure, I am saying your club is now making a very very risky gamble, which the chance of winning the jackpot is less than probable. And the consequence of losing the gamble - I don't know, probably a long period of no investment and cost-cutting regime. Do not hope that your club would be sold easily because Henry must demand a high price and the current global financial atmosphere is fucking shit. And in this sense, you should understand why we said those players aren't good enough, because they didn't give you a distinct advantage over Spurs and Arsenal, that you have to take a bad gamble this season.
